Harvested my Zamaldelica seed mother:

I veg-ed this till the seventh node at 18/6 under a 6 bulb fluorescent then under a 600w HPS at 11/13 for flower. Took her to 10 weeks/11 since flip and 5 weeks since the last pollen flew from the ZD06 male. She was ready a week or so ago by her looks but I didn't want to chance a pre-mature harvest on the f2 seeds. I'm going to run a side by side comparison with the Zd09 I have that is a 2 week old seedling and the f2's to see how they follow the original line.

Thanks again Ace Seeds!

Too soon to say with a complete analysis, but I did smoke a nice ball of scissor hash on a bed of freshly dried sugar leaf, that was a fun filled experience similar to my ZD05 plant, nice trippy smoke with a flavor and aroma that makes it hard to properly cure these buds.

My mango carrot zamaldelica x purple thunk x white widow cross that I shared last month has been abused, beaten, chopped back and finally screened to try and contain its vigor. It hasn't worked. I'll let the plant veg through the screen, twist-snapping stems throughout till it starts to get ridiculous again and then I'm going to give up and throw it into the flower. I forgot how much attention Zamaldelica requires..

Hi greenghost420,

If you are mainly looking for the most trippy and lysergic Zamaldelica phenos, then please feel free to pm me or email me, i have plenty of seeds from the older more Zamal/Thai influenced phenos, they are really very trippy and 'scary', they also have a very strong initial energetic rush, producing acceleration of mind process and thoughts, like taking too much coffee or other stimulators.

Bump .....in case anyone's intrested

Thanks dubi. I was considering the semi-auto traits and whether air-pots might help to avoid this as I was looking to run the older Zamal/Thai dominant beans you referred to a few pages back. Are these the first standard release you refer to here? What year are they from?

Thanks in advance,
Boss Cocky

Hi Boss Cocky,

The more Zamal/Thai phenos very rarely have semi autoflowering tendencies. I would even discard it.

All the current Zamaldelica standard stock was harvested in May so it's very fresh, the current Zamaldelica fem stock was harvested in December 2014. They are no longer the first original outcross, they are improved releases through selections in newer generations.

Hope it helps with your doubts.

Thank you all for sharing your Zamaldelica pictures and experiences
It's much appreciated :huggg:

Different phenos can be found in Zamaldelica, so depending on the expression, harvest time and the grower's chemistry, the effects and experiences could differ between different growers.

I made lot of efforts for the past 2 years to breed Zamaldelica for the best effects, and to refine the aromas and improve indoor adaptability, especially on the fem release.

New pure purple Zamal parental plant

New pure purple Zamal parental plant

Here's an interesting new pure Zamal parental plant grown from seed. It was grown outdoors almost without attentions, a bit like the Thai Chiang Mai....

It was germinated in mid-late spring in a small pot, then moved to a 1 liter pot in summer time, and finally to a 7 liter pot when she confirmed it was a female. She has only received 3 feedings in her whole life, 2 times with rhizotonic and seaweed for the transplants and once with organic flowering fertilizer, nothing more.

It's a long flowering pheno that finishes in December (for comparison, Gerrit's semi autoflowering Zamal mother can be harvested in late October/early November from clone.

This new Zamal has also the typical 'octopus' lateral branching that is so recognizable in the zamal line, it has shown intense purple and reddish colors in December with the cold temps.

October and November were quite rainy, cloudy and windy, but she had 0 problems with mold or broken branches, her thin elastic structure is perfect to resist strong storms, even hail.

December has been great, very sunny, good temps for this time of the year.
I was tempted to harvest her in early December, but she made a new reflowering and the weather has been good so i decide to let her go until Xmas time.

She has great resin production, and lovely floral earthy aromas.
Very promising :smoke:

Did the Zamal/Malawi? Koh Chang ever materialize? Did you ever actually grow it? I know it's not being released, just curious if you ever actually grew it last year.

Hi Dubi,

Do you still have a pure Gerrit's Zamal line? Any chance of releasing a Zamal (Gerrit's) x New Zamal line?

Also how homogeneous is the latest Zamaldelica (fem) release? I got mine from the 'tude in Sept. '15. Any chance there's still some scary, trippy pheno's to be found?

Thanks,

SB

Good morning SpaceBros,

Of course, we still preserve Zamal Gerrit's cut, the new purple Zamal i recently posted and other Zamal relatives.
We will see if there's a Zamal release in the future with the Zamal parental plants that you commented. Time and results will tell ....
As i commented previously a lot of times: i breed what i like to breed, and not what others tell me what 'i should breed'.

Current Zamaldelica fem is more refined and has been bred more towards the best uplifting happy effects of the hybrid (along with other many positive and improved traits).
I preserve and have open pollinated all the phenos, the more trippy and scary Zamal/Thai phenos are still available, mainly in the standard reproductions we did in mid 2015 ...
please check my previous posts in this thread, this theme has already been deeply commented.

Have a great 2016! :tiphat:

Thanks for the reply and apologies for not reading the thread. Any year with Ace in my garden is bound to be a great one :) Best wishes for 2016 and your upcoming breeding projects. Can't wait to see the results!

Thanks for that information, dubi. Good to know that the semi-auto traits are rare even in the extra trippy Zamal/Thai dominant beans. These will be next up for sure after my current Panama grow.

Hey mate, I've had a that trouble with a few lately . I found that planting them a little deeper has helped . Coco doesn't seem to give a lot of resistance . I used a pair of tweezers or pointy nose pliers to grab the end while holding stem gently and pushing down on medium. Or gently cut along with razor blade . Good luck.

I ordered some Zamaldelicia seeds from Seedsman (Ace was having CC payment issues) and was wondering about this leaf structure & size. None of the images I've found of Zamaldelica seem to have leaves this wide or is this just a young plant characteristic? I'm a new grower and this is my first Sativa. Thanks!

Try a little misting usually helps out those seeds that do that make sure you have proper humidity also imo,as the thin paper like layerunder the actually seed husk can tighten up and not fully come off.

Cheers Holeshot, yeah mate I wasnt sure if I should assist or let mother nature do her thing, im very excited always used unknown clones and bag seed. Right there goes the rum now to punch a few through the springy and the old scalpel fingers should be good to go.
