Hi Alex, haven't ordered the cartridges yet, but am waiting on the unit from 3 Counties Hydro. I sent a cash payment which should be arriving in a matter of days, and will post here the results. So far so good, their customer service has been excellent, various email exchanges promptly replied to.

Once I receive the unit I'm going to look into the cartridges. If you hear back from them in the meantime, post it up! Maybe I'll pick up the phone and call for the cartridges instead of email

I thought I'd be able to order online and do everything automatically with a credit card, but when I couldn't find an option for shipping outside of the UK, I wrote to them about it. They answered me the next day, and we had a week long exchange of emails because of credit card problems, international shipping options, forms of payment. Every single email I sent was answered the next day at the latest. In the end I placed an order totalling GBP 221.00 (V-Tek and Root Riot, plus shipping ), which is a bit of moolah, more than I like to send as a cash payment, especially to people I'd never dealt with. I sent the payment last Thursday, registered mail, eleven bills of £20.00 and a £2.00 coin.
This afternoon I wrote to them asking if they'd received payment. Two hours later (now) I received an answer stating that my order was shipped yesterday with 48 hour parcel mail (and I paid for 36 hour parcel service), providing me with a tracking number, and informing me that it should arrive tomorrow



Impeccable customer service, friendly people, all around excellent prices (at least for the V-Tek, unbeatable), and you can trust them with your hard earned cash-money. Big props, and I'll be looking into the other stuff they sell, this is one happy customer.

Bottom line: 3 Counties Hydro ROCKS!

MM - go to the vaportek website and then call their customer service line, they will be able to tell you the closest distributor to you. They are all over the place, janitorial suppliers etc.

The Vaportek 4000 that I have is a good unit but can be overwhelmed by large grow/rooms, my 36 Bucket Bio-System was to much for it but on average it should be fine.

Vaportek is the odor control route I am going to take. My closet is not that big so I don't have room for a carbon filter. I've been keeping tabs on this thread and most people have been happy with the performance of the unit. My plants don't seem to be real high odor producers. :wink:

Well the people at Branching Out have contacted me and after a couple of mails named the price of 55something pounds for the 4000 cartridge, so not the good offer that we thought it was

the thing works but it aint magic. i ahd four of gratefulheads gumblebums in a sealed 5'X5' room with two layers of panda and it didnt solve the problem. the place stank for 6 weeks. you need one of each a carbon and a vaportek. if you have a cabinet grow you are covered but any thing medium small and up get more ammo.

get one...address your odor control before you regret not addressing it earlier.

the odor neutralizing aget in the vaportek cartridges os non toxic, and not made from petroleum distillates...its safe...it can be used in a hospital or a nursery safely.

they have a 120 day cartridge. get it in neutral.

This is the virst I've heard of the Vaportek. Does anyone have any info about the smaller versions?

I might be starting a very small cab grow (i focus on milder smelling strains also) soon and would think the 4000 might be overkill for me, plus I'd hope the smaller ones would be cheaper. Also, I'm not too keen on the santized smell I am hearing about. (why does a non-masknig neutralizer have a smell anyways? - not complaining, just trying to understand)

So, yeah, any experiences with the smaller versions would be appreciated for this (and maybe other cab growers). Thanks.

The 4000 is their smallest one. They have larger commercial units for flood cleanups and such. I have a relatively small cab grow myself, and am very very glad I got this. Takes up next to no space and is extremely effective. Definitely not overkill... IMO one could spend as much on 2 or 3 other ways to kill the smell and not be as successful. JMHO....
