Iv titled the fan more upwards so that it blows into the hood an up and not across it... so that warm air should be drifting up and not across.... If that doesn't help I guess I could just shift her... like you say she looks a lil light, bit of yellow...[will defo keep scoping] spose some moms drink more than others lol... both my cheese's were dryish but the dream wasn't.... genetics...?? Also I see some ppls rooms have a low RH... like uncle, I read his RH was 30% the other day... is in his flower room... but fuck me does that guy rock shit proper.... ?? And I need to start learning about organic foliar sprays for an IPM.... gotta get onto that, saw in team's thread he had a nice easy enough one to brew...??
I think you should make the EM5 using the lactobacillus serum for your IPM.
Unc has low humidity because the resins increase because the plant is exposed to such dry air. Environment is key for plant health so if you're stressing your plants by creating an environment that is too dry, I would assume that it would somehow not help them in the long run
In bobblehead's thread he talks a bit about environment and he has a higher humidity than most people I see. The aim is to not have a huge difference in humidity of the air and also the insides of the buds. The drastic differences can lead to issues which one is ironically bud rot which is why most people have the low humidity in the first place.
Foliar IPM sprays can be simple like dish soap and water up to neem sprays or botanical oil sprays. You just need to spray 1x per wk. eM5 needs à high humidity of 60-65% to even work. There's been some promising results.
The lacto will really make everything available in the soil so you can use it faster, better quality and then you can take some extra serum and use the EM5 recipe for bio insecticide.
I really like that site and will probably not shut up about it I'm too cheap to buy this stuff.
@Lady... yeah I think that link doesn't work for me... But I got a brief understanding of the EM and EM5... think its the way I should go... I googled "DIY EM" I think.... a page from hawaiihealingtree came up... guy gives a good break down of the basic concept of the shit....
Clones, had their first full strength feed this am...
The blue dream mom...
This morning I popped out to check the outdoor plants, it had been bout two weeks since Id last been back... they not looking totally fuct... Im thinking of going out with ice cream boxes and cutting all the "bud" off and sticking them in the boxes, and then bringing the boxes back and thrown in the freezer... does any one see this as being totally stoopid...?? They have a mite on or two probs.... but at least then I can run the frozen through my bubble bags...? The plants could do with another week, but the buds are tiny, but there is trics so I wanna try grab them... when I went to check this am, I didnt touch shit, but I didnt have a hot shower when I got back home as I cant get the air lock out of my gas geyser.... looks like we're in for a bit of a storm, which could hit any second... I just really think Ill get a few grams of bubble of these bitches if I just go to the effort... Id think that freezen shit would kill everything... even eggs.. but not sure.... myt just go crack it out anyways.... let me know what you think...
I don't like freezing before a total dry but I understand u don't want to introduce the mites to ur indoor. Whatever u do get rid of the trash material right away cause I don't trust a freeze to kill the mites and eggs. Those little devils can live thru freezes.
Iv made a simple soil mix... can go into detail if its want... soils been cooking for 2weeks, clones have been in cups for Idk how long... lil yellow too... last two feeds have been the same strength as the moms get...
Blue Dream clones...
Cheese clones... theres 2 more of these...
Blue in the blue...
Cheese in the, well you can figure it out... two weeks that soils been in em buckets just like that...
And with them transplanted... Iv made a feed up, just haven't gotten around to that errand yet.... But like I said earlier... pretty dam yellowy....
Cheese mom... needs clones taken.... bitch to clean my huge cloner properly every run...
Then the veg room setup as present.... probs give them a day to settle and rearrange things in there so they getting the best light.... and take clones...
Im hoping to make some individual screens for this next run... at least I can then judge the distance from the bulb better and move each plant individually to where it would like to be, as my understanding, is, well ummmm, not great shall we say.... Also hoping to make the trek to the city sometime soonish... get that proper inline and filter, amongst a few small bits and bobs[neem, silicon]... its already starting to cool down a lil during the nights, so I feel these things are at the top of my "need to get yesterday" list... I reckon two times air exchange per a minute in the broomroom will defo send me in the right direction.... Hopefully get all that shit and the room revamped... in what, under 4weeks..?? Should I be looking at veggin these girls any longer than 4 weeks....???
All advice, opinions, comments and jibes are more than welcome and very much appreciated... hopefully with some awesome help from you people, I can get this next round where it needs to be and I know I can get it... well, kinda... lol....
Looks like your next run is shaping up nicely SF . When u say individual screens for each pot do you mean vert screen or horizontal? I think 4 weeks for vert will fill in nicely , may be a little long for a horizontal screen . I'm assuming vert is the plan. Looking forward to watching this group mature! I learned a lot from your last
@atk7.... howzit, been a while...
Yeah vert screens, kinda like the one I was using in the doorway last run[icky stylie]... the netting part will probs be 2 feet in height, by a foot in width... still want them movable in there...
why not keep it simple and just use bamboo or sitcks smelly ? I dont think using sticks vs screens is going to effect your yield dramatically if at all.
Looking a lil yellow your right. Theyll green up.
Can someone get this man nutes lol
mad props for working with what you got smelly I dont think I could do it
Smelly!! I made some EM1 lacto serum and fed it to my plants and used it to cook soil. The plants are growing like crazy and my soil that's cooking is very warm. It's a god send. Make some fish ferts and cook your soil. A+++
Also saw a few growers report the EM5 alternated with the FPE has kept away bugs that were causing them issues. I also fed the curds to our chickens and we finally got one egg! They quit laying weeks ago or someone is eating the entire egg. We found one today but we aren't sure if we beat the rooster to eating it. It's the first egg in almost two months tho. They quit laying because an animal was getting into their cage nightly killing them off. Afterwards when we caught the animal, they refused to leave the hen house and quit laying eggs. So weird.
@AJAE... Iv thought bout the bamboo... I just feel its easy to train to a net, than 4 odd sticks.... plus its easy to keep my eyes too... although bamboo requires a 10m walk to obtain... and the nets a dive into my non-existent wallet... but once they're made they're made...
@t......... yo! Yeah Im pretty stoked that its where its at... 55% today.
@Lady.... great news! Iv started with the EM, I just got more white shit on the bottom than there is on the top..?? Shit is yellow between the two layers of miffy white thou... I actually also got some chickens last friday... dogs already killed one... yeah one really needs to cat proof the hock... we get wild cats here and their fetish is chicken heads, just the heads, they eat nothing else... so they can kill like ten chickens every night... and you're left with just bodies... they've been laying, but the eggs taste like rubbery crap to be honest... free range means the chickens DONT get fead.... they scratch for bugs and grass and shit... then and only then are the yokes a deep orange colour... not this piss yellow like it is at the moment... I grew up on a poultry farm... now its just fruit...
I think its bout 25dC in there today, with the 55%RH that I mentioned to t.....
I pushed them under the light after two days to recover from the tp...
I feel they looking ALOT better, and the green is coming on nicely...
Im thinking of bombing the 9 left over clones, as the mums are ready for a snip again... hate to throw away ganja, but I feel I need to narrow numbers down, so I can concentrate on individuals and learn each single plant by looks and growth and shit... I really dont want more than 25 plants at a time... ten[or so...] in the broomroom, another ten vegging, and 5 mums... I feel if I can get that system flowing with a proper IPM and a few major "tools of the trade" adjustments, well, I just might be fucking gravy then..... no??
Let me know what y'all think.... lol
Take the trimmings and feed it to worms or make a FPE for grow nutes. Then use the extract diluted in water you can do the same with lollipopped trimmings for bloom. Take the white curds on the top and feed it to your chickens and then put a lid on a burp it till used which should be soon. We pull green stuff like grass and weeds along with food scraps to our penned chickens (50x25 feet) and we let them out for an hour before dusk. That could be the dogs dinner time and you could keep cats at bay while they feed. I also knew those plants would green up when you transplanted they looked a little root bound. You can also make neem FPE with those recipes I copied.
I never knew how impt. environment was until I saw it being stressed by everyone especially Mirac.
Try to keep that environment dialed in my man ! I saw my ladies looking sad the past week in one of my rooms. Kept scratching my head and going crazy. After a heat treatment they were perking up just like my other room thats about to go into bloom. Thought it was buggers for sure since It couldnt be the KISS method. ( knock on wood)
well that room didnt have a thermometer like my other room. When I got one found the room was getting no warmer than 65F and that was on a good day lol Got another thermostat controller coming on its way. right now my fans are on timers and there staying between 75-79F. The ladies are now perking up and greening up within 24hrs.
Amazing how a measly 10-15F can make a diff. Cold ladies in veg cant take up nutes properly and now I understand that through exp. usually my environment is fluctuating outside too much but weathers getting weird.
like Mirac posted before on a thread here
if your using high quality nutrients/mix whether its GH CANNA or for your sake a good soil mix.
problems are coming from
PH ENVIRONMENT BUGS 99% of the time.
boy was mirac on point !
Glad to see some soil heads are stopping by to help ya out.
once you get the soil mix down
then you can focus on the other aspects to DIAL shit in
Hey Smelly!
Checking you out. Don't like the yellowing. Have you checked your roots? Root aphids could be a problem. You mentioned you had bulbous growths on your roots? Those are root nematodes. Bad news. You have to kill them. They could be the "root" of your problems. Beneficial nematodes will eat them, but they also have products here that will kill them. Don't know what you have available there, but that is a problem you have to take care of. Do a Google search on root nematodes, and you will see the pictures, and how to deal with them. If you are not seeing eggs under leaves, you don't have BMs. Simple as that. BMs lay eggs. No eggs=no BMs. Eggs are easy to see. They can't run and they can't hide.
I think your problems "stem" from the roots...pun intended.
Also, keep light as close to plants as possible, so they don't stretch and get spindly stems. Hold your hand under the bulb. If it doesn't burn your hand, it doesn't burn the plants.
In summary: check your roots. I think that is your main problem. Root nematodes are a bitch and must be dealt with. They could be your whole issue, unless you have RAs too. Those you can see at the bottom of your clear cups that I think you are using. Try pulling one of your plants from it's pot without disturbing it too much. A loupe and a flashlight or other light will help you to see them if they are there.
One thing for sure: bulbs on the roots mean root nematodes. I didn't catch this earlier or would have mentioned it sooner.
