@Retrobro... howzit, thanks for checking up on things, much appreciated... right lets get to the nitty gritty of things...

The bulbs on the roots, those where every pot from the last round... when I cleaned them up, I came across them... I bombed all the root balls but I kept the peat and planted aloe verra in it... all these new cuts that I have going now do not have any of that old medium. The cuts to flower are in a DIY soil[buckets]... and the 3 moms in coco/peat... These bulbs I have also noticed on my carrots... back during the last round of flower, I did come across some flyers that would sit on the pot rim...

I took clones last night off the moms, and they look green, and the moms have been growing quik... I did hack them back quite a bit as Id like them to be a bit smaller and bushier... Iv still got all that leaf matter which I would like to scope through before bombing it... and Im stilling not seeing any eggs...

Iv got all the herbs to start soaking IPM teas... I just dont have coffee filters or sieves to strain it with... and matie has hooked up the biowar... maybe another few weeks... so Im stuck in two minds about wether or not to try dail in the heatments again, as I feel I know where I went wrong... just a mission if I do burn shit again...

But Iv still got 9 leftover clones that I topped[clear plastic] that I might tp and then run them in the heatment as a tester... as If I burn them it wont matter to much..... But I just want these next ten in the buckets in primo health before I flip... also hoping to go get this fan sometime soon... being a hermit has its drawbacks lol...

I could try pull a mom out a pot an inspect her roots, or have a good look through the clear cups, but tryna get those newly tp bucket plants out might be a pain in the ass... I will say that I havent come across any root bulbs when I was upottting the clones... and that was last wknd... they quite easy to see[the bulbs] and I feel I would have noticed something...

My old mans got a huge bag of nemicide.... use's it in the banana fields....:dunno:

Ill try take more pics of things this evening....

lets try get to the "bottom" of this retro, need help, need guidence.... Im so fucking ampt for this next round... I really wanna fucking rock it....

If you let the soil dry out all the way, the soil will shrink away from the container and they come out MUCH easier. You can inspect the roots that way. You can also catch the flyers on a sticky fly tape and scope them to find out if it's a gnat or aphid. The root pack from OGBiowar can also be used as a foliar spray. Use FARMER as a discount code ;) next time your buddy orders. Is the neemicide neem oil or nematodes?

I've seen root nodules or bumps at the base of the stem by the soil on mine sometimes but I read that is where new roots will form if they were to be covered by dirt. Nodules in the roots though is not good. Mine always look like fuzzy strings with no bumps.

@Lady... yeah they were right down at the bottoms... not the base. Think he's right, again... Ill have to let matey know, think he's got me two 8oz pack s of the foliar...

its a 50kg bag of white powder... Ill read more of the label tonight...

I think there/where some RA's but Im not really seeing any resting on pots and soil surfaces... only a few girls now so I know there ins an outs[almost...] Iv been thinking of brushing some DE ontop of my straw mulch and then a tin layer of beach sand ontop of that... fuck I want things to be right... but I cant go through another "year" of vegging lol... how the fuck do people just knock out round after round... swear Iv had just about everything one dosent want, besides the pm....

You live in a fruit orchard filled with killer bees. You kinda got that going against ya so don't beat yourself up. Put some nemotodes and the OGBiowar in a bucket and dunk the rootball and let that stuff soak into every nook and cranny. Imid is a systemic chem that could work. I bet your RAs aren't immune to that yet like ours can be unless Imid is used extensively over there too. Retro can tell ya how to kill em but I just don't want you bummed out today. I think living in a place with limited resources gives you an advantage that they probably have not become resistant to chems yet.

Fungus gnats and it's larvae possibly. They feed on your roots too. You should catch a flyer and scope it to confirm. They look the same to the blind eye almost but the up close pics show a difference in body shape under a scope. Just don't worry till you hear back.

Probably Africanized Fungus Gnats :D

So you saying Im a fruit cake with bee stings... great:biggrin:
Iv got Imid, wont that kill my "epic" soil though..?
Not bumbed... I feel things are starting to turn around for me...
Also never really dived into the fg or ra threads before... to busy with, um what you call those thingys... oh yeah thats right broad mites...

:huggg: you're no fruit cake. The Imid would destroy your epic soil but so would RAs. If it's fungus gnats, you can solve that easy with your sand. A lot if people including myself think diatomaceous earth doesn't work after getting wet. I had to reapply after each watering fighting slugs in my flower pots. You can add nematodes for both RA and gnats. Seems like most everything organic just knocks em back and controls populations. Even a guy I know cleaned his whole room and replaced a lot of stuff still got them again three weeks after culling. UC Davis doesn't offer much advice other than pulling all roots including weeds from the garden for three years and starve them. Lots of people have beaten them here on icmag and Davis does it's research on outdoor soil environments with weeds that continue to pop up, hard to seal up like a grow room. I'm hoping you just have some fungus gnats.

Root aphids are the worst pest I have ever seen/dealt with.....period!!!!! They make spider mites seem like a walk in the park. Had a grow spot that was infested with them. I tried everything. Imid, Triazicide , at ridiculous strengths (20-30ml per gal). Did 30 mins total rootmass soaks. Pulled the plant up out of it, and the bastards were still crawling around. Goddamn super bugs!!!!! OG biowar helped some, but they were still there.

I wanted to clone all the keepers at that spot and kill everything, remove all the dirt, and clean with a goddamn hazmat suit on. Guy I was doing things with is nieve and ignorant, and didn't wanna go that route. So that just added to the list of reasons of why I walked away from that grow.

Things are so bad for him now, he's losing money by the 1000's. Been begging me to come back to help him "fix things" . I haven't answered any of his messages. If he didn't get it then, he's not gonna get it now.

Looks like ur having more fun over here. those little white worms pretty much confirm fg larvae. RA's should be a bit bigger and easier to see than fg. RA will have 6 legs and tailpipes sticking out there back side. enough fg will mess ur plants up by themselves. Bti is what u need for the fg. Its a natural bacteria, so no chems probs and wont kill ur soil goodies. Soil mites come along with fg to eat the dead root material. There supposed to be harmless but idk... Anyway if u scope them they will have 8 legs and not tailpipes so u know the difference between them and RA's.

good luck smelly. Ur not alone, im trying to wipe these bastards out too.

Root aphids will not be on soil surfaces. They will be at the bottom of your pots, in the root zone. That's why you have to pull plants to see them, although you can see them in clear cups, @ the bottom.
OG Biowar comes in Foliar and Root packs. Root packs will take care of RAs, although I believe they have some of the same organisms, and should work both ways. Check their web site. Any product with Imidcloprid will kill RAs. They are easy to kill in coco, more difficult in soil, which is their natural habitat. It's one reason why I switched permanently away from soil to coco, aside from the more vigorous growth rate. Since you are in Africa, you will not have resistant strains, as we have here in the states.

@Mirac.... thanks for checking back in, much appreciated... that worm I can across, didnt have a black head, wasn't grub like, looked more like an eel.. thin and slender... no more than 5mm in length... ??
So root aphids have 6 legs tail pipe?
and soil mites 8 legs and no pipes... ?? check....

@Lady... still no neem, only from that one shop... and peeps I know keep changing their arrangements so I can get this 'donation' over and down with... want my fan now fucksakes....

@Retobro.... right

Iv looked through some clear cups, bottom inch, cant see shit...
