U need to do something about that 80 to 90% bro. Ur gonna get mold. U need to at least be able to get down to 65%. Preferably 50 to 55%. This is for drying the herb.

We should get you some genetics that are crossed with Africans so they're more temperament to your environment but have different qualities for variety. Sounds like you got a good game plan developing.

Good idea for his outdoor. But he can run anything indoors if he gets a better handle on environment.

@Mirac... hey brah, hope alls good your side... yeah Im gona move them today... its in my bathroom thats the RH is the highest... in the winter they dry in 2weeks... summer different story... Iv never had mold here inside which is "how bazaar how bazaar..." lol... But I do get you... normally for dryn I put the branches in beer bottles so they sit like jars of flowers, but Im gona hang em up on fishing line close to the roof in the veg room... only place where RH is below 65%... am I wrong in saying the longer they take to dry the better...?? smoother smoke? stronger smoke..?? Yeah Im sick of the crap here... I want proper skunk... and haze hybrids.... lol... I can dream cant I...
Good to hear from you again.. :tiphat:

that's true. indoors is another story if environmental controls are performing well. Hawaiian genetics would work well and that would give him a lot of different stuff to work with. my Durban bubble is half African half indica but leans towards sativa. I'm sure with enough breeding one could find an indica leaner out there. does vert work better with stretchy sativas than short compact indicas? marlo mentioned somewhere that the lankier plants work best. I think he mentioned OG crosses are good. just some things to consider.

Doing good thanks.

Longer the better. As long as u don't induce mold sure. So ideally, if u can get it under 60% in 2 weeks or less with some air circulation to make sure there are no moisture pockets, would be ideal. Some people believe in the 62% number. I find more flavor and effect when I dry to 50%. When the stem snaps u can store it and check it once in a day to make sure that its still evenly dried.

U don't want to keep the rh above 65% ever after u harvest to make sure u don't get mold. Also u don't want it do dry in less than 5 days. Or get below 44% rh to quick or it shuts off the cure process. Or so ive read. I do know that if gets dry crispy in 4 days or less, it really fuks it up.

I'm having serious issues with curing. its gauging when to jar it. takes forever...like a month. tried the freezer method and it came out soggy wet. I want to buy some dessicant.

@Lady... I here you, its just here, like, um, if its exotic its better you know... A durban bubble mmm Im not sure... its like swaziskunk... its everywhere here, as soon as I here that "hybrid term" I just run for the hills... you know that strain hunters series..?? They've been here along with other crews in search of the real deal land race, but they were just handing out beans and shit left right and centre... so theres a lot of water down genes here... also pretty sure a dutch "breeder" has a few guys testing around these parts... because I live in paradise theres a lot of people "trying"... often its fucking moldy... which sucks... and the price of something decent is a hundred buffalo a g.... thats a bout a days minimum wage fyi... I discovered the BM's end of our winter... but in all honesty I could have had em all along...

@Mirac.... thanks for that knowledge drop... defo one for the bank.... much appreciated... :tiphat: Its hard to keep your bud dry here, most people have a problem... much easy just to have bubble... higher up its no stress I hear.... but being right by the ocean doesnt help I guess...

it's about $80 or a days minimum wage in my state but most other states get far less as a minimum. $80 will get you 7-8 grams of good stuff. if you're on the east coast you have to pay more but still, I've never heard of a days wage for a gram no matter what you're paid. I see why you risk it and I'm sure if you got caught the penalty would be severe enough to justify that price for pot. what about hawaiian strains like an aloha white widow? landraces have their own set of problems from what I hear. incredibly long flower times, hermie issues, lower potency (an assumption on my part). I've heard of some that can have ripe for picking flowers while still pushing out new colas so you can perpetually harvest her.

Hey bru well done on fighting till harvest!!
For drying, how bout u make a biltong dryer? Some computer fans and ir lamp should keep rh down a bit?
Also as Lady suggested bit earlier, aloe grows in abundance around, one can simply chop a leaf and collect the juice but be aware that some of the active compounds wear off in 20min. That on foliars or soil drench is ment to help, all the wise ppl here can fill in details... Also yucca everywhere but commercial yucca extract is non existing and I wouldnt know how to get the good stuff out of it...
Strains... Man when I get my post count up for pms we can make a solid plan on getting Smelly sum stretchy bitches in there like killing fields or chocolope, they will do the trick on vert for sure!
Also in and around ur house keep wiping with bleach for mold; look around if u see any dark spots in ceilings and walls. Gotta keep super clean to minimize pathogens in ur enviroment. Maybe a small air cleaner would also help on battle?
Inline fan yes deffinately but u could also save sum serious cash and make another scrubber diy style for time being? 2nd one for u should be better then version 1.0 :)
Keep it green homey and keep improving!

Peace

Omg that's gorgeous!

All your plants look ok to me. What is going on with your sick plant? I see a little yellow and her green could be darker but all in all she's doing ok.

It just looks a lil crinkled on some leaves, and a lil taco'n... Iv just been feeding the moms seagrow an blackstrap... I didnt feed her this am, but the pots of the other two cheese moms were light so they got a feed with the clones.... an I made the feed a lil weak.... Iv scoped for mites maybe every two to three days. just a leaf or two at a time... the symptoms seem to be "ease'n" off... but I do agree she looks a bit light and they dont have that "sheen" to them that healthy plants seem to have.... :dunno: Iv also just moved everything a bit closer to the light...

Heat probably. The edges of the leaves looked serrated which means it is transpiring too fast. You RH is 60% so you could put a wet towel in there under the light where it's the hottest and let it release water by evaporating which will raise RH. With high temps you need more water in the air. The heat causes stress which makes your plants more vulnerable to bugs. If you can't lower heat a few degrees, then you need loads if fresh air and a raise humidity level. Heat ruins potency and degrades trichomes.

thanks, that mom is actually sitting with the bulb between it and a floor fan, so it might be getting a lil warm breeze on herself.... honestly I thought the temps and RH were pretty good with where they at... or I could just spray em a few times.... like I gotta get onto making my own foliar sprays anyway... I mean I think Im beginning to understand environment a lil better...
