@spacemanj I have fermented Vitis vinifera L, Artemisia annua, Urtica and many other herbs in the same way. These fermented herbs smell and taste wonderful as a tea.Great thread @Tangwena I'm going to enjoy reading through this.
Has anyone tried adding other herbs to their cobs? I was thinking about the possible synergistic effects. It would be interesting to see how the cure would affect it too.
Just a few categories/groups, but many more:
Adaptogen herbs such as Rhodiola Rosea - reduces stress while enhancing mental clarity, which can support emotional openness and empathy.
Anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) herbs such as Passionflower - relieves anxiety, reduces stress, promotes relaxation and sleep.
Empathogenic / Mood-Enhancing herbs such as Blue Lotus - induces mild euphoria, enhances emotional clarity and spiritual awareness.
And many more categories with countless herbs that are edible and/or smokable.
----------
There's so many medicinal herbs out there, and the possibilities can be endless. A combination of 2 or more herbs promoting that effect you want - medicinal or recreational.
Of course if you're using more than two herbs, you'd need to do research on whether it's a safe combination. And for consumption - whether it's a smokable cob or just an edible cob.
Just been thinking

Depending of course on what you used to make the cob the effects can be almost anything.@Tangwena 6 month check in.
Full disclosure this was the first attempt, it turned out way darker than I expected. I tried some last night later in the evening and fell asleep before the onset. In the am when I woke up I felt off then I took the morning piss and looked in the mirror almost a shroom effect to much so I had a "sick" today. Not sure how much I ate but obviously too much.

Put it away somewhere warm room temp is ok and just give it a month or two to work.
I found this video from the International Guild of Knot Tyers and they have a cool way of compressing a big roll of tobacco with rope. It looks similar to cob curing. Its perique style.
