Clone those plants as much as possible and take em somewhere else. I would not use your cloner cause they can live in hydro units too. This way you have all your genetics safe. Get the Imid and replace your epic soil with bagged potting soil. Were these planted in the epic soil? The aphids must of came in the soil not so epic.

Also noticed some flyers, they had flat wings on their backs when resting, I believe these two be fungus gnats...

Dam you got to make sure all soils you buy are clean even if you have to buy used BBQ sterilize the soil then you can re introduce stuff
i have never fought with aphids it used to be un herd of only out door not sure how far the plants are but take your clones if thats the plan then get a big bucket fill it little over 1/4 full of boiling water then fill the rest with cold so its rather warm to the touch and try to drown them fuckers

Sorry to hear about ur latest pest issue! Has anyone tried Spinosad on fighting RAs? They put that stuff into dogs and cats tik pills so shouldnt be bad for u either... For FG larvae get Margaret Robertson Biological larvicide; thats the mozzie dunks around here.
Maybe... Just laying it out there... Maybe u should consider moving into coco and Bio Bizz? I know u dont like the idea on buying bottles and such but for time being till ur budget is sorted and mind clear?
Or then heat sterilize all soil and introduce life back in as mentioned...

Im defo picking up the bioneem, biobloom, kelpak, and silicon plus... all thats bout a k... but I went with the 8inch fan[metal] she has to order the 8inch filter thou... fuck over making fuct up shit, just buy the damb thing. I've tried spinosad to no avail. That was on outdoor plants though. After a through drench, and through soaking with a pump sprayer, the next day I still had fliers, flying around under the canopy........bastards!!

Spinosads a no go. Check out the fg/ winged RA thread for methods of treatment.
Definitely root aphids! Sorry! Six legs and tailpipes. Actually some of the best RA pix I have seen. Get you some Imidcloprid ASAP and kill those fuckers! I know they have that in Africa. It's a very common pesticide, and comes under many brand names, the biggest being Bayer. I know you don't have resistant strains in Africa like we do here, so Imid will do the trick. You will have to do a soil drench. You will see the bastards running for their lives when it hits them. You will probably have to repeat the treatment several times. They are probably in the soil outside all around you. Damn! I am so off soil, and that is one of the reasons. If you can get some bagged coco, it's worth it's weight in gold. If you can't, you can use perlite, or diatomaceous earth as medium. Yup, diatomaceous earth can be used as medium. It's cheap, and bugs can't live in it, and I'm pretty sure you can find it in Africa. Use a breathing mask though when handling it, as the particles will lodge in your lungs. Of course, then you will not be using organic, home grown ferts. You will need salts. At some point, money comes into the equation, but think of it this way: an ounce of dank will pay for your ferts/supplies.
I also think, from the pictures, that you can lower your light. 400 watts don't put out that much heat. Keep light as close as you can. But, first things first. Kill those bastards, and then kill them again.

Im actually glad Iv got these things... learning about one brutal pest after the other, I feel is a good thing, yeah its does break the spirit at first, but then I realised I need to meet these pests head on... What Im getting at is: should I just trash all this shit and start afresh... they sell coco/peat 5kg bricks at the store that Im going to soon to get my fan... its not to pricey, 50kg is bout $60[R600]...just dont know htf to carry it... I had to place an order for the filter and fan, shes already asked for email and contact numbers[which I politely declined]... so I dont want her even seeing my car... I would just need to keep all that coco away from my flat[leave in car boot] coz like you say... these bugs[everything] are all over the show... and Iv become a miticide before... now I need to become a aphicide... lol.... So I could throw all this shit away, bleach, bug bomb, heat treat, bleach bug bomb and heat again... get the coco/peat... and try pop the SLH fems and I also got gdoggyp fems, last year mid winter my room hit 60 a few times during lights off, perhaps it would be best to pop them and try run them for some colour... coz I dont have them in the fridge, just warm room temps, power always trips here, didnt think it'd be good for the seeds...??? So if you were in my shoes, what would you do?? I really need a proper filter fan and ducting[thats a must] but I could probs afford the other sundries I mentioned... if a sacrifice must be made, so that I could have an actually dank harvest say two months later, maybe I should really be looking at it... OR kill the sweet fuck outa em with Imid... veg a bit longer, and just feed em the organic route Iv been doing so thus far this round... To me the plants yes look a lil yellow, but they've taken off since been put into my diy soil and growth has been what Id expect from a plant... I feel they look way healthier than the last mite round.... but they have to be dealt with..?? cant just ride the round out.....?? coz like even though the summer grow was a fuckup of note, I put my head down, tried not to get distracted, and Iv actually got something to show for it, not much, but its paying for this much needed equipment that I should get real soon.....
Like I mentioned earlier... biobizz bloom, kelpak, silicon, and bioneem I can get for bout $100... enough for a ten plant run, maybe some mom upkeep... Iv got a heap of seagrow which Iv been using for veg... and the blackstrap is available down here and like $2...

And could you walk me through this "dunking" process... big bucket of water, imid[correct ratio] and slowly lower pot into bucket..?? leave for 20min...?? repeat every 3 days?? each plant needs 3 dunk cycle...??

Fungies! To form symbiotic relation w/ ur plants, just like in the forest... Fungis take sugar from the host plant and in return ur plants gets improved nutrient/water uptake. But besides that they also work in decomposing process; i.e.help break down nutrients. Also ur plants get resistant for pathogens and suppousingly better draught and over watering resistance. Theres loads of info about fungies around here and they're major part of living soil... Trichoderma is lank cheap: R15 for enough for 100-150 plants...
