My four OE's having fun! Very diverse! Three of them are stinky...so i guess i'll only be able to keep the one that doesn't have a strong smell. Safety first :comfort:

P.S. : what would be my best bet to avoid lanky sativa pheno? To pick the squates plant currently?

Hi Bleiweis,

The more compact phenos with wider leaf are closer to the pure chinese indica genetics, these phenos will flower faster with smaller final size, but stronger aromas.

The taller OE vietnamese sativa phenos are indeed lankier, but they yield better and produce less smell in flowering.

Hope it helps. Best wishes for the outdoor season!

Hallo dubi and everyone! Just found out ace seeds recently and im so glad i did. So tired of the classic skunk strains. Enough!! Im a lover of landrace genetics and cant wait to start my first ace seeds adventure . Im growing indoors on a 0,76x1.80 tent with 250 hps for veg and 400 hps for flowering. Im searching for a compact plant with sativa influence and a pleasant effect with no anxiety as in many sativas. Im so glad i found orient express.
Just wanted to ask, right now what phenos should i expect in OE ? Is there a pheno that goes more than 9-10 weeks of flowering? Peace!!

Welcome george7,

Thanks for your interest in our genetics.

Orient Express is a good choice if you are looking for an indoor hybrid with good sativa influence, high yields and clear low anxiety effects. Flowering time is usually around 9-10.5 weeks, the early finishers (9 weeks) have more chinese indica influence, more resin production, stronger narcotic effect and stronger aromas, while the vietnamese sativa phenos produce large yields, take 10 weeks or a bit more to mature, and produce a very clean low anxious sativa effect. Both phenos will work well in your tent.

Let us know if you have any other doubt. Kind regards!

Hola Ace friends and Dubi! :tiphat:

I just harvested an orient express and i would appreciate if anyone could identify the pheno?Chinese hashplant i presume? Great smell , something like honey and onions(?) probably...

Here she is a few days before harvest (approx.10 weeks)

It went down a week ago and the early tests show that she has a distinguished, clear and social effect.Hope i will be able to cure it for at least 2 months...

Hi Syd Barrett,

Thanks for sharing your Orient Express before harvest :)

It's an intermediate sativa/indica pheno, with big, hairy sativa vietnamese colas, but good density and moderate/short flowering time from the chinese indica.

I'm glad you are enjoying her aromas and first smoking tests!

Thank YOU Dubi for the unique genetics! Thanks for the info, too!

Nice work on your grow Syd. Very chunky fat buds.

Very kind of you Holeshot!Didn't need much work, was very easy even for a new grower like myself.I'm sure she would be more impressive with longer veg and better dialing of nutes, not to mention that temps were very high in the last weeks of flowering...And this is one of the strains that Dubi has specifically pointed that benefits a lot from low temps in the end.I am confident that the winter run is gonna be better!

Your babe is a beauty!Has some double serrations on the leaves like mine, trait carried from the viet side if I recall well...

If those were my plants plants, I would say N or S defficiency (maybe not enough feeding overall), or too much water (if stems are soft). At least by comparing your plants with the images.

The wood you have there seems still wet, thats why I said the water thing.

But I have no idea rly. Just throwing some ideas.

How many hours of direct sunlight do they have? It's the wind strong there? When my plants are outside the wind bend their leaves because it's pretty intense here.

Hmmmm. I will look into deficiencies...but i have other girls in the same soil and they're doing more than fine. They also look pretty dark green to have N deficiency don't you think?

Soil also isn't on the wet side. It's rather dry i would say. When i dig a few centimeters in the ground it isn't all that moist.

Thanks for the help, i hope she'll get better with time :)

when plants grow very fast new leaves develope gradually, so they may claw or other wise look deficient, or are yellowy light green coloured. so i don´t see a thing that´s wrong with those.

To be honest I can't see too good the Pics, but for me she is not looking that dark green.

Anyways, seems to be all normal.

Hi Bleiweis,

The plant looks a bit thirsty and overfed in the pic. I would recommend you to water with plain good quality water with correct ph until the problem is solved ... maybe the soil mix was too strong for her ?
