Hi guys,

Just got some orient express from a friend ( 5 different phenos ),and i got things to ask you about it...

First, (i must precise that it is from fem seeds) i got some seeds from one of the phenos, the most vietnam black, and i don't know if i can use them without a risk of hermies...will it be all females? will it turn herm surely??

And, how much curing time is necessary to develop the full potential of this buds??(or at least the minimum time to wait to not waste it...)??

Wish you all a beautiful day

Question already replied in the Orient Express feminized thread, post #32:

Hi smac17,

If they are fem seeds then you should get only female plants.
I like to recommend to make proper drying a curing for at least 2-3 months, then you be will able to get a proper idea of the potential and quality of your flowers.

Let us know if you have any other doubt. Kind regards

Orient Express, Flowering Day 30
Really like the sativa apearence, with long, thin leaves. Looks very promising

Great job early bird as usual :) Looks like she is going to produce a serious fat main cola.

I think you could get even a better yield by increasing a bit more the feeding from the 4th week of flowering. Try to keep the temps fresh in late flowering (around 20ºC) to get the best quality from your Orient Express. Thank you very much for share it.

Thanks. I give her a 26 Days vegitation and flowered her in a 11L Pot with rich soil.
Just 2 feedings with EC 0,6

My OE seeds were in mailbox this weekend. I'm very excited to unleash the beasts this spring. I hope you will do a full smoke report when done curing your buds. Thanks nice plant and thread. Peace

I testet a sample of the dried buds in my vaporizer.
Was not the best day for neutral test, tired today. Of course this is just a short first impression.

The buds was to dry. I made an mistake and put it into jars to late.

The smell is komplex, i really like the taste, yummy stuff.
There is some strong aroma in it which i can´t really describe. Some herb i would say, may lavender? Not sweet, not hashy. Reminds me on some medicine.

It´s really not easy to describe the high of this strain, quite complex but i try.
The high comes slowly. Very clear. I wondered if i´m already high or if it´s still on his way into my brain. Felt half-high for some time, like with to early harvested buds. Vaped a second bowl. After some time i´m notice that i´m quite high. But impressive how clear it was. Could think very sharp, of course some amount of confusion comes with it
But you are able to talk normally.

It would call it "soft uplifting", not racy, not electric, not the kind of sativa high thats make you move around, unable to relax. Quite up and active with almost no body stone in the beginning.
I like to try this in summer, outdoor in sunshine and hang around in the nature, guess Orient Express would fit in well :)
But even if the high is quite clear, the brain "stops to think to much", like a little brain freeze i had on Malawi x PCK, when i tested my sample (the whole plant still drying), but not trying to compare the strains.

After few hours i get some body stone in the end. The effect is quite long lasting, still felt it after hours (but smoked more of it than usually).

Hope this helps to give you a small impression :tiphat:

Hi early_bird,

Thanks for sharing your OE sativa pheno before harvest.
Your smoke report describes very well the effects of the sativa pheno:
clear, well focused, uplifting, but not racy or anxious.
The more chinese yunnan hashplant phenos have more body stone.

Wish you enjoy her! :)

Hi Dubi,
is Orient Express still a F1 Hybrid or is she know stabilized or interbreed ?
I want to interbreed her and cross her with other varietes so i think you have a lot of variation when you cross with unstabilized strains...
Best regards

Hi Apollo 13,

As stated in our website's description, Orient Express is at the moment a semi stabilized F3 hybrid, this means it has been inbred 2 generations, but it's not fully stabilized yet. Vigor and high yields are very important traits in this strain, and both can be easily lost with excessive inbreeding. Although Orient Express is not the most predictable strain in outcrosses, it easily produces very vigorous and high yielding hybrids of moderate flowering time when it is outcrossed.

To produce the Orient Express feminized version i like to pollinate my favourite F2 vietnamese sativa phenos (very vigorous, massive yielding, tall, moderate-long flowering times, with very clear, motivating and anti anxious effects) with a chinese hashplant indica pheno (very compact, very early flowering, adds resin production and denser terpenes) to keep the desirable heterosis in a F3 generation that almost works like a F1 hybrid.

The regular/standard Orient Express version is more sativa dominant, it's the result of crossing the same F2 sativa phenos previously commented and one indica pheno with 2 F2 sativa males (both very high yielding with great flower/leaf ratio, one very early flowering and the other with moderate flowering time).

Hope it helps with your doubts. Kind regards

My four OE's having fun! Very diverse! Three of them are stinky...so i guess i'll only be able to keep the one that doesn't have a strong smell. Safety first :comfort:

P.S. : what would be my best bet to avoid lanky sativa pheno? To pick the squates plant currently?

Hallo dubi and everyone! Just found out ace seeds recently and im so glad i did. So tired of the classic skunk strains. Enough!! Im a lover of landrace genetics and cant wait to start my first ace seeds adventure . Im growing indoors on a 0,76x1.80 tent with 250 hps for veg and 400 hps for flowering. Im searching for a compact plant with sativa influence and a pleasant effect with no anxiety as in many sativas. Im so glad i found orient express.
Just wanted to ask, right now what phenos should i expect in OE ? Is there a pheno that goes more than 9-10 weeks of flowering? Peace!!
