Great pictures. This is what I am hoping for. Roms' JLB seeds should be here by the end of the week. Can't wait to get them going. Thinking of starting them indoors and force flowering outside starting in the spring. Hoping to give them enough time to finish at 42 N.

Thanks, it’s going relatively good for first time running these particular plants under lights. I have been growing them outdoors but it’s seriously hard to finish anything needing 20-24 weeks around here 49N.
When it gets cold the metabolism slows down so much and the plants become vulnerable. diminishing light helps trigger flower
It’s a whole different game growing in a tent but the challenge makes the experience more enjoyable (personal opinion).

It must be a real pleasure growing the JLB by Rom. The industry doesn’t make genetics like that. it’s nice to see them in existence and in hands of people growing them for the art of growing.

Tag me if you start a journal I too am interested in JLB phenos.

Why do some people think it is so hard to grow?

if I sounded like I wanted to discourage people I apologize..please go for it..

quote"

"why’s it hard to grow?"

well it grows GREAT...that part is easy

“finishing" with anything that resembles more than the hardest to grow haze...

well they can’t even do that outdoors in JA why should they indoors here

ps..imho LB is great weed..for almost the first week anyway..then its very good weed

just don't smoke it all the time or resistance comes fast..this was from JA

hey bro ..

got photo's of said big buds LB?

Hi Rgd. My post was not aimed at you or anyone else in particular. Just a conglomeration of posts from here, the RUST thread, some Panama threads, and others. Everyone has their own opinions based on their own experiences, and I respect them all. Doesn't me that we have to agree, though.

If you want, please read post #1568, I have not grown a true sativa in almost 40 years. So, no pictures of those. I have recently grown some dominant sativa hybrid phenos that were great. That's what got me back on this journey.

I will agree with you that getting them to finish can be a real problem, especially outdoors where I am located. But indoors, they can take all the time they want. No hurry, no worry.

Pics will be coming of the Panama Red from Anesia Seeds, but obviously, not on this thread.

Peace

Guilty, I use Advance nutrients, enough said.
Man, you should get away from that stuff. If you need a bottled system, either Age Old Grow, or General Organics work very, very well. Four bottles max, less if you supplement your soil. Fantastic quality flower.

Hey Wolverine.

I know a lot of people here are down on AN products. Are they overpriced? Hell yes! Is it a lot of gimmicky marketing and packaging? Absolutely! Do they work? Very much so!!

Maybe one day, when I run out, I will switch to something else or even try one of these "super soils"(not sure if that is the correct term) that require nothing but water for the whole grow. Sounds nice in theory anyways.

Completely ignorant of the name Lamb's Bread but here is some proof the Coptics in Jamaica were breeding pure Type I/Sativa with Type II/Indicas... in _1980_.

Outstanding breeders of Jamaican sinse, the Coptics were totally overwhelmed by the cheap ass commercial colombo that was being brought in by the tons in Miami.

This is what the Coptics were doing in 1980, photo processed at Fotomat o_O :

Roms' F7
1 week old and already spreading some love!
Off to a great start Al. Lambs bread/breath was one of the best I remember smoking as a youth. How many seeds did you start?

Waiting patiently for my JLB beans from Roms. Or... at least I was patient until I saw your pic. They got stuck in customs for almost a week, but on their way again. Can't wait to get these started.

Just started 3 of them, as I'm inexperienced with such super-long-flowering stretchy sativas.
Hoping for one female to sample.
I need to learn a bit about them before I consider getting numbers up!
when you can monitor the water smaller the pots the better, a plant can grow a foot tall in one cup of soil.
once flowering starts fast, transplant... stops the stretch but allows decent harvest. Bonsai on... :huggg:
Once you get a good female reveg , clone and flower reduce wait time to mature flowers

@Roms my brother sorry for cutting the plants:huggg: these are OTs

Hey Wolverine. I would like to cross your Jamaican with Roms. That male thin leaf looked great!
Shoot me a pm, I can send you some seeds. If Roms is okay with the cross. Don't want to step on any toes....
But I'm doing the same here, crossing the two next year. I'll also maintain Roms line as pure. But I don't sell seeds, or anything at all, so I know he's fine with that.

Thanks Wolverine.I will PM you. I plan on running Roms seeds only first. Hoping for some green phenos. Description of the high is closer to what I remember than the purple, banana pheno. Hopefully that will provide enough seeds to experiment with and share (for free).
