Just recently started experminting with the whole line up (BM,PM, and Gravity). Here are some pics at day 35. Fucking rock hard, I'm gonna need a cast iron grinder and a pair of pliers just to smoke it.

Wow Purgatory that is day 35?!?! :yoinks: pretty impressive results i would say....

Purgatory- how do these pics compare to this strain without the Humboldt regimen (if you have run a control crop).....are those pruned/LST/FIMmed/supercropped....?

You guys are right about ventilation being the key.....those are perhaps the densest flowers i have ever seen, seriously....

Keep us informed Purgatory!!! Awesome job!!!! Look forward to a smoke report when you find the cast iron grinder or an icepick or whatever......eh??

Thanks again for the report.....valuable information about some cutting-edge products....

:ying: kind regards from your friend the guineapig :ying:

Heh there Purgatory,
That's awful nice looking!!! What strain is that any how? And you said you didn't have it dialed in on your flat garden! Nice grow so far,but the up dates are far and few between.... joking!! LOL .Still looking for a Bushmaster Supplier in Canada, anyone seen it around?I just bought a litre of Phosphoload, and wouldn't mind doing a side by side in the future.

13 days in Veg
42 days in Blm
55 days Total
(used bm,pm, and Gravity)
16 plants under one 1000 in a 3*3 eb flow in small closet with ventilation
12 jack herers, 4 ak47's
Pruned lower growth at day 10 in veg
Final results (dry to crisp)
186grms AK
690grms JH
(876 total)
= roughly .88 grms pr watt in total of 55 days from root to fruit
the AK's probably could have used an extra 4 or 5 days
From personal experience i really don't think i can get any more then that with the genetics i'm using. So the goal is still 1gpw in under 60 days. I guess i'm going to have to do some more genetics shopping.

Sorry for the delayed response, just moved so internet access has been few and far between. I'll post some more updated pics as soon as i get my pc up and running again. Until then

I'm starting a grow with all three, Bushmaster, Purple Max and Gravity. I hit 6 clones after 1 week of 12/12 with 4ml per gal Bushmaster and ran it in plain ph'd water for 2.5 days. I just pulled it tonight and went back to Sensi Bloom A&B at 800ppm and
some sweet leave. Ram horning and super fat internodes is all I've noticed, no burn yet.

i've been hearing/reading alot about BM lately. I think i am going to try it out on my next run, but reduced resin production is something i want to avoid. I read in some replies that it was the same high but less resin, is this possible?

Has anyone compared Dr. Nodes vs Bushmaster? Also a friend suggested Sensizyme, but from what i read on it, it doesn't seem to be a product to halt vert growth, more a catalyst.

Great thread btw, good information on BM!

Lots of great information.....

Lots of great information.....

Thanks everyone for the info posted on this thread. Some great science and pics. Thought I was doing great but have some new goals now.

Bought some BM as a side thought awhile back but wasn't really going to use it. But since this thread I may give it a try. I am a little worried with the decreased resin production but may do a side by side and compare.

Peace

peace, when using gravity, yeah theres a decrease in sticky for a lil while and the odor is low, but coming close to the end i just let her stay in darkness for about 36 hrs, even if u don't do that if properly cured, its just as gummy in the long run..whats the purple maxx good for??? ...beetlejuicey...sensizyme is a great product butttt i'm feelin hygrozyme much more, smells better and the girls just seem to pop a lil more when adding this to the res..

one...

definately BK, i use hygrozyme right now and my ladies love it! Too bad its kinda pricey for the lil bottle, but worth every cent.

my only additions for next run will be bushmaster and voodoo juice...

I used bushmaster on one 5 gallon feeding at 10ml/g on day 5 of flower and again 5 days later at 1ml/g and i had minimal strech like 3 inches did have to pull the lights up a bit plants became sensitive to the hids but they look great

I would make sure you have some Protien hydroslate(aka hydrolyzed yeast, aka amino acids) and Fulvic or humic acids(not in full flower). Most of the mix kelp boosters, like Floranova, Liquiud Karma, Dark energy, etc are mixes of Kelp and Amino acids. Silicone is a necessity as well, to prevent that bud rot from getting a hold, and in general it akes your plants MUCH hardier for the extra bud weight.
Hey 20kw - I've been using Silica Blast at full or half strength since May and my last 4 crops have all had some bud mold. Some worse than others. Some total losses. :badday:

I'm thinking of trying some aspirin in the tank to give it systemic resistance, but Silica Blast didn't seem to have any effect. ideas?

there isn't a suppliment out there that is going to prevent mold...if you have an environment conducive to mold you really have to keep everything as sterile as possible and keep the air circulation high and the humidity low. IF it is the same strain that keeps giving you problems, I might even look into growing a mold resistant variety. Just some thoughts...good luck

Kokua - I understand that. But I am lucky enough to run about a dozen different strain/phenos regularly - and the best ones are prone to mold. I am doing my damndest to keep the humidity down, but I know that certain Thricoderma at the root zone help prevent it, and Scorpion Juice uses salicylic acid which is supposed to help prevent it as well. I'm just looking for more preventatives, I guess.

I am hesitant to use a sulfur burner, but have seen them in medi-grows before. Anyone have thoughts on taste/smell/overall product when using sulfur?

?

Would Pro-Tekt as a pH up to your most acidic nutes work, as in switching up the silicon source? (seems to add 3% K to boot)

heya SW  that sucks that the ones you like are prone to mold. I never herd about Trichoderma helping on the buds...I have heard that it helps in the rootzone...but not with budrot. Do you remember where you read that?

I'm going to look up salicylic acid...don't know much about that one either. Thanks again
