I had some killer brick 25 years ago. Maybe it was Thai.

It was dark green/brown, very pliable, zero seeds and an eighth was the same volume as Morrocan solid.

It stank of black pepper. The high was blissfull strong and smiley.

What does the Thai 78 smell like?

you should have taken a few pictures mex ,
i have no idea what they are trying to sell and names they are using etc ,
or how they grew it , maybe some is indoor , and not much outdoor ,
from what people are saying many are assuming the best comes from indoor ,
but we know thats not so where it comes to those thai sativas ,
nothing will beat the climate they have for growing outdoor ...

the compressed brick stuff was pretty cheap , depending on who and where you got it from,
when i was there 10 odd years ago we got 4 ounces for about 80 aud , so 20 dollars an ounce ,
it would have to be cheaper now one would think if it was the brick ,
some of that was real nice pot too , some pretty average as it looked a bit immature ....

Gday Wally
10 years ago the aud was much stronger against the baht than today
So you mean 100 grs for 3000 baht or 2000baht 10 years ago?

I dont know about hempys thai. The thai I have cant be grown indoors, they all go intersex. At least for me. It requires a lot of skill to grow this stuff indoors without going intersex
Outdoors seems to be the way to grow them and giving them a similar environment to their homeland helps a lot

Stockton, how much you pay for the brown brick? That smokes very different from the common brick?

Mex, is that bag you showing from Netherlands coffeeshop or from Thailand new shops?

Dutch coffeeshop in The Hague. They are one of the few to let their merchandise tested.

Found this Mama Thai (18 week flowering period) cultivated by a guy indoors and outdoors a much better option. It gave a high for 9 hours and no ceiling.

I was sourcing it 10 years ago 100 grs of brick for 3000baht from other people who were making a baht of it and I was getting nepali charas 1 tola for around 2500baht, prices fluctuate according to source and according to the hunger of the source

Northern Thai 2008 x CG72 is clearly the best of this year harvest
Now harvesting the future (Northern Thai 2008 x CG72) x Northern Thai 2008 variegated boy which is having new growth :woohoo:

Pity you can't find the chocolate/coffee aroma (narcotic) or minty Thai (cerebral high effect) anymore.
Hiya Mex, zero experience with true old school from 60’s/70’s stuff, grown a few Thai hybrids last couple years, most were just ok. But, check out the bushweed thread. MM78 and OSSxMM grow reports of minty, cerebral smoke. one OSSx I grew was minty, then juicy fruit after some cure, pop ur eyes open 2sec after hit all head type effect. Can only imagine what the true old school was like.

Peace,

There's a QR code on that baggie. If you scan it, it then translates to the link below which has some info about the product you bought. Might be interesting to read.

MOSTLY TRANSLATED

Buddha Thai knows about a cannabis variant that is native to Thailand and brought to America in the '70s and '80s. The pure landras is a sativa, the soms "Thai Sticks" were known as vanwege in the traditional manner of waarop zijn knoppen been droogd and bonded in long sticks. The original Thai version was based on the most common strains such as Voodoo, Juicy Fruit and the classic Haze. Buddha Thai is strong and has a comfortable effect and has a specific fruity, citrus-like aroma.

im still in the camp of , the best thai grown is grown in thailand outdoors, or the same climate /latitude ,
the high isnt the same from indoor cultivated subjects ,
or out of the natural climate ,
you can bet sam agrees with that too ....

you cant replicate those conditions indoor,
hence sativas flowering for 20 plus weeks ,
while still growing fresh pistils ,
sad but true ...

Believe what ever you like Wally but going by your theory all sativas grown in Thailand then should all be good and they their not. Its all in the genetics and Sam says it to.

How you grow them and mature them how you handle your flower all plays a huge roll also.
I agree with this. With modern LED lights, good climate control and organic feed, indoor weed can equal outdoor environment

damn, LEDs are equal or maybe better than the sun ey I knew something was wrong, better dig these up and move them inside, put them in a vase of water and defoliate the crap out of them then I will get that superior and slightly miss-spelled products… thanks for the ”heads up”!

But maybe I need to get some seeds from some animal tails made in some shed in the outback rather than growing these as they are thais in Thailand and the masters said there’s nothing good here anymore… fuck… live and learn, thanks for the teachings!

I think I will wait until the energy prices are more stable before moving indoors though, if nothing else it’s energy saving t grow outdoors under the sun much more so than any LED will ever be…
