Do you know what happened to the plant stock you gave Nevile after he died?. . Is it possible your 78 THIA was given away? Try to get a cut and check it out.

I can't tag you brings up some other guy?. There are many good people that breed seeds that are not trolls. Knowing the difference between a real troll and others with a difference of opinions is not the same. Most are not trolling or attacking. In most cases, it's a misinterpretation and not personal.

most of it does come from laos hempy ,
thailand does not grow much pot to sell ,
there are some farms now that are mostly for medicinal pot etc ,
you can even get tours of them ,
some grow shops are opening in places like buriram in the north east ,
(a friend of mine has opened one)
so far any legal stuff is just medicinal
but hopes are it wont be long before recreational pot can be grown...

i visited andy a few times and saw what he was toking ,
and he was mostly only interested in growing western weed as it is popular among the westerners ,
the stuff he had both times i saw him was laos brick ,
its by far the most common pot that can be found ...

its true as you say there are small pockets where folks grow some plants ,
and there are seeds that trace back to the original stuff before the eradication program ,
but none of that stuff is sold or available commercially in general ,
you would be lucky to get hold of any if you were a fresh arrival and without some good contacts ...

Its completely changed from just last year.. It's pretty much like any legal state in the USA now. I posted a Thailand 2022 video in the Haze hybrid thread.

I spoke to Nevil daily Hammer i was fully informed of what he was up to in his work but also what Nevil gave bushy and all i tried to do was be open and honest with people here.

I was always okay with Nevil selling or sharing crosses of it but i was not okay with it going out pure as i did not want people that trolled me for years getting it bushweed being one or the canna industry getting it and Nevil honored what i asked of him.

It was Nevil that felt it to valuable to even pass it out as a hybrid so he kept it close.

The only hybrid of my Thai to be past out was the OUTBACK Haze and thats was a 3 way hybrid and only in feminized seed.

I know who got what after Nevil passed and they dont have it.

Can I ask why you just don't send in some seeds to the server fund or something like that? Even old ones hell somebody would love em I'm sure. Assuming you've had this thai since 78 I'd also assume you've made many manyyyyyyyy seeds with it no?

I didn't ask about any of that lol. If you don't know what people did with his stock after his death no way you would know for sure. Unfortunately, people do things all the time without telling us. My suggestion is valid. If you can acquire one of those cuts why not check it out.

i dont have the tia but.... the number 2 stacked calyx outback 3 x viet picked up its best qualities but with increased resin and haze influence. the really cool thing about the tia traits is the stacked single sugar leaf blades. they are just slightly offset to each other and coated on the underneath with sessile trichomes. seems to be the base type of long running lowland vine types which throw out the leather liver "buddha" profile nevil held in high regard.
with the recent genetic link discovered between cannabis and tropical thai tree trema orientalis looks like this trait may actually come from high tannin content in trema orientalis. recent phylogenic research has placed trema orientalis, morus notabilis(basal wild mulberry from yunnan), and hops as closest plants to cannabis in that order. this tropical treefound in thailand whose bark extract is high in tannins and also contains thc, cbd and cbn in its inflorescence.
anyway im all about spreading diversity and knowledge and have established mother plants for these outback viet outlier phenos the haze world needs to try. so anyone whod like to try and is serious just hit me up we will figure it out. thats what nev was about.

Its completely changed from just last year.. It's pretty much like any legal state in the USA now. I posted a Thailand 2022 video in the Haze hybrid thread.

There is no way to be 100% sure someone you don't know has you 78Thia after Nevile passed. It's just common sense. I'm sure finding out someone might have it would be pretty disappointing for ya . This happens more times then not. If you don't care to know for sure I guess that is all that matters.

Why would i be disappointed in shearing genetics if that was true then why would i give it to Nevil knowing it was going to be offered and sold in hybrids ?

I told you all what Bushy had and was selling was not a hybrid of my Thai the person that lived with Nevil that was there until the very end also posted and verified what i said.

Who do you think got Nevils seeds after he passed on.

All the news I've read and seen fails to mention the fact that what is 'legal' in Thailand is almost all 'medicinal'. The reporting has been dismal frankly. Even ABC Foreign Correspondant did a pretty shit job... opting for the usual usual 'druggie' hysterical over actual facts in relation to THC strains the country is actually famous for... and not 'available' legally in current climate. Arguably the most magnificent, elevating and unforgettable pot ever grown... anywhere.

If anyone can track down some of those legendary stick strains (if they haven't all gone to God) it'll be you Prof. Mallard. A little taste before I go to God would be moral booster for me as well. Have a nice street take away on my behalf in Chiang Mai. Wash it down with a nice chilled Singha/Chang/Leo and drink to my health. If you get the chance to whisper some good vibes into the ear of an elephant that'd be nice also. (Spent time at ENP a couple of times). Love elephants. Good luck and good vibes.

the main compressed variety until recently was mostly laos from what i know mex ,
but now , who knows where its grown ,
could be now grown in thailand ...
i know many were growing well before the gates opened earlier this year , for how long ,
i cant say ...
those sorts of sativa only have a specific season they can grow , its once a year stuff , now would be their time ...

Interesting.Smoked from different shops, but they were all different.Pity you can't find the chocolate/coffee aroma (narcotic) or minty Thai (cerebral high effect) anymore.

you should have taken a few pictures mex ,
i have no idea what they are trying to sell and names they are using etc ,
or how they grew it , maybe some is indoor , and not much outdoor ,
from what people are saying many are assuming the best comes from indoor ,
but we know thats not so where it comes to those thai sativas ,
nothing will beat the climate they have for growing outdoor ...

the compressed brick stuff was pretty cheap , depending on who and where you got it from,
when i was there 10 odd years ago we got 4 ounces for about 80 aud , so 20 dollars an ounce ,
it would have to be cheaper now one would think if it was the brick ,
some of that was real nice pot too , some pretty average as it looked a bit immature ....

There were some killer bricks that would come through.. It was def way better than other brick weed. We all thought it was prob Lumbo gold bricked up to make more space for transporting large shipments. Not all brick weed was low quality. .
