ive got three these girls popping above the dirt line, first run of zamal, first run of fem sativa.......ive got to go flower from seed due to space probs.....6sq ft tent with 550w cfl, theyll be in there with 2 purple haze/thai and a few other 12/12-seed projects.......size constraint is needed, for what it's worth.....1qt/2qt containers with organic soil.......ewc/compost/anc.forest/promixBX/prlt, feeding with neptune's fishXseaweed

im jumping line by not performing due diligence and researching this thread and apologize for being needy, but any off-the-cuff pointers from the venerable zamal crowd would be greatly appreciated.

i have to say, im highly very giggity excited for this. i recently harvested a purplehazeXthai i got as freebie back 7-8 years ago, my first experience(im aware of) of growing and smoking sativa. it's kind of like a love affair with someone you just met that you know is gonna be good and is on the brink of avalanching upon you and sweeping you away, but you're in the breathe/calm before the storm.

Hi ion :)

I'm glad you are in love with our old Purple Haze Thai release and that your first pure sativa experience motivates you to explore other sativa strains from our catalogue.

Zamaldelica has great uplifting mental qualities like Purple Haze Thai but Zamaldelica's effect is overall warmer, its terpene profile is also different, I'm sure you are also going to enjoy with Zamaldelica

Are these thin leafed plants coming from the latest batch of Zam standard?
And the wide leaf is the Fem. version?

Hi Water-,

Yes, usually Zamaldelica regular lines produce plants with thinner leaves, while current Zamaldelica fem version has wider leaves.

For documentation purposes, anyone care to help me identify this zamaldelica pheno? Came from a std pack from herbies late 2016. Super floppy stems, insane branching, relatively huge buds, good potent up buzz. Very heavily semi flowering and tropical rosey scented. I'm guessing a Zam/Malawi, but more on the Zam side? That's the confusing part to me, I thought purer zam phenos were harder to find, but this pheno showed up 3x in 2 males and 1 female from a 5 pack. At first I thought it was malawi leaning due to peanut butter/oil scents in veg and when I first flowered it improperly, but those went away when it flowered better this time.

Hi nldfarmer,

As Koodense correctly pointed, your Zamaldelica phenos is quite Zamal dominnt with a touch of Thai and Malawi.

The heavy horizontal branching and semi autoflowering traits are classic pure Zamal traits. The tropical aromas mixed with rose floral
is a mix of the terpenes from Zamal A mother and the Thai male.

Wish you enjoy her! :)

Thanks Dubi and Koondense, this is really exciting news. I've already F2d her with her brothers, I'm now confident that I can find a really Zam dominant F2 to work with. Initially I was worried that Zam phenos would be hard to find. Now I just have to worry that they're hard to keep in mom form. Will have to wait a little bit to grow them out as I'm moving to a really nice place that banned growing.

Really liking this pheno. When I grew it improperly I saw some potential but was confused as to why it was so well regarded. Good strong buzz for 20 minutes that wore out (picked early with pest damage) to an okay sativa buzz. Let it go longer and kept bugs out and it is stellar, even though I might've been able to get it go another week or two.

Very very unique stuff, I actually get two effects depending on set and setting. The first is a really strong (seriously, don't drive on it) and potent sativa effect, similar to when it was badly grown except it didn't peter out, just more and more energy keeps on coming until you are overwhelmed and do something. The second is more interesting and the effect I want to work with. It seems to originate in the tops of the harvested plant, so wherever terpenes were the highest. Took me a while to figure out what it was like, but the closest experience was a mild mushroom trip, a little above micro dosing. Not as energetic as the first effect, in fact it's downright relaxing if you let it be but wow visually things get interesting with increased perceptions, mind expansion is through the roof, and the effect lasts. so. long. Three to four hours of essentially being in your own warm personal dimension. Excellent stuff. Never had such an effect from cannabis and it's totally deserving of it's reputation

I absolutely agree with your descriptions of Zamaldelica's effects, during the really strong one it's like when you are caught in a wave you can't do anything but ride this wawe of energetic psychoactivity and follow it. It can be overhelming and I'm sure I'll be unable to drive for I'll be too much absorbed by the visuals the 4d music, sounds and all things sensorial so to speak. She's also able to unravel different streams of consciousness, sometimes I find myself thinking about different things like if I was inside them, I take pause from the reality that surrounds me during these episodes. The visuals for me are always been strong. Anyway I didn't noticed that the different gradation of intensity was linked with where the buds were sittings on the plant. I'm thinking it depends on a combination of different factors as the amount you smoke, the setting and personal situation but I'll try to pay more attention next time :)
Nevertheless It's my favourite not-for-everyday-smoke though. Head stash for sure.

currently doing a selection of these 2012 batch regulars ...............i have 2 total auto flowering pheno's... still alive, got a auto flowering male witch i killed .. and have found 2 very badly hermieing females witch i have killed also, and when i say bad i mean wholes branches of pollen sacks
i have 1 very stable male... he showed late, with no female pistils

i have 1 female that looks like almost a pure thai pheno............ it is throwing out a few pollen sacks hidden within the female flowers which im picking off, resin looks great...............

2 that look like 50/50 with thicker malawi like buds with strong stems (growing malawi also side by side)

and 1 with very unique looking buds ................ it was the runt and is smaller than the other plants but

just wondering anyone had any input as to the auto flowering phenos and the slightly hermie Thai ?

are the auto flowering phenos the zamal learners ?

are a few balls just par for the course with a root bound thai ?

Sorry for the side on image, my first pics, finally, to the Ace group.

I've done lots of micro indoors so here is my first Zamaldelica outdoors. She's a beauty!

If anyone knows the pheno, I'd love some more info...

Welcome Nup :)

I'm glad to know you are excited with your Zamaldelica grow, thanks for joining the thread.

Your Zamaldelica looks very healthy and well tamed in size, the stretching is over and clearly under control ;) Are you growing the feminized version ?
Your female has a blend of traits from the 3 sativas involved in Zamaldelica breeding, but i would say yours is slightly more Malawi dominant than Zamal or Thai.

Best wishes for the flowering! :tiphat:

Cheers for the response Dubi!
Flowering is letting her show a sweet and flowers smell, much lighter than other stains iv tried.
Its a bean from a regular pack bought in 03/2017 (dont know how useful the date is).
Of the three beans that i sprouted is has the thinnest and stretchiest appearance, also showed its sex very early. Appreciate the word on its pheno! I'v had difficulty trying to tell which it is.

Hi sweet-emotion,

The very first and original Zamaldelica regular release from that time had some hermie tendencies. Current Zamaldelica regular lines still have some but they are less frequent nowadays. I want to work the Zamaldelica regular lines in the upcoming years to make a much more consistent Zamaldelica regular version, like in current Zamaldelica fem release.

Current Zamaldelica fem version is much more sexually firm and with proper growing variables will rarely produce hermie traits.

thanks for the answer dubi!

I cut the male preflowers and so far I haven't seen others, so it's all going well :tiphat:

Hi, here I am again this time for an update on my finished Zamaldelica grow.
I chopped her at her 13th week of flo. She was ripe, all yellowed out and wasn't trowing out new pistil since the eleventh week.

I'm satisified by the outcome, I tryed some trimming and I was trippin' staring at kitchen towel's pictures .
I'm f2'ing them, She quickly became my friend's and mine's favourite smoke now!

Here are some photos, enjoy!

Me too, that was the reason why I chose they were post-worthy :) I was surprised when I saw tricomes on them, and charmed by their delicate appearance too. Those tiny jewels that hangs suspended waiting for a whiff of fresh air to release their genes had to be seen in my opinion
