Zamaldelica pros! Are my ladies stretching a little slow? First time growing a 100% sativa so I'm not sure what to expect. Would just like to know if I'm on track.

They're in the back (top) left and right. The front (lower) are GTH1

Here is day one of 12/12

on day 7, they were tied down some more

Thanks in advance!

Greetings Saitama,
Thanks for you recent post looks like your Zamaldelica garden is going to be a real productive one. As a huge fan of Zamaldelica I am on my 3rd grow this year of my first seed germed. It usually stretched for 4 weeks. Then the intense flowering before a heavy heavy resinous finish. I love mine so much that mi nicknamed her Empress Zamaldelica outta respect to her.
Yout plants are going great and on the right track. So keep up the good work.
Happy Growing!:)

Lovely plants Saitama! Are the Zam from clone or seed? My seed plants stretched ALOT more than the clones did later. My first clone runs had plants finish at 3 feet versus the 5-6 feet of the exact same plant from seed. My solution was just to place plants on an upside down 5 gallon bucket to keep an even canopy with other varieties, and then just veg longer next time. You did a fantastic job with topping and training (and feeding!), so you will get a nice yield. My shorty Zamaldelicias still put out over 3 oz per plant with ~12 tops.

Thanks for the kind words. These are from seed. Sounds like I'm in for it. :woohoo:

Nice, you are just getting started then. Reg or Fems? Regs could have a Thai pheno that takes longer, but most of what you see here (from 2016/2017 packs) is the Zamal/Malawi dom that should finish in less than 13 weeks from seed at 12/12. I would expect stretch for 5-6 weeks (closer to 4 weeks from clone, as ULMW said).

These are fem. Do you have any input regarding deficiencies?

Not really on feeding specifically. If you have a full and healthy root system, Zams are hearty feeders until they aren't. PH drift (down) is your enemy much more than feeding a specific regime. Check your runoff ph a few times a week. If ph starts to drop, rebalance medium and adjust to a lighter feed schedule.

Appreciate it. Another member mentioned that they look mag and iron deficient. I'm inclined to agree but I haven't seen them in 2 weeks! My care taker has been sending pics. My res is a solid 1.4 to 1.5 and pH never went above 6.1. I'll be calibrating my pens when I get back tomorrow as well as perhaps a flush.

Are you running coco? A bit of cal mag could help. Checking the runoff ph is the best indicator, as it is not what is going in, but the residual buildup over time when they are not eating all the food provided. Ace sativa are easy to grow for the first 6-8 weeks, but the trick is when to cut of Nitrogen (too early and all the leaves will drop, too late and they will not be happy with leaf curl) and then lower PK to flush. I have flushed too early and gone back with nutes after a few weeks and no change in trichomes from clear. You will get a better handle on your exact plants for the second run. The trick with the second run is not to overcompensate and underfeed or flower too early.

This girl had a slow start but has started to have surprising growth over this last week.. She's sharing the scrog with 4 other ladies... Green hz /Mal, 2 Destroyers / C99

I just calibrated my pen and PH was at 5.3. oops!

Just finished my Zam grow. Went 12.5 weeks. Pulled a little early I believe. Only have a 5 ft ceiling and this plant absolutely exploded. Lots of bending needed.

Very uplifting, warm, clear sativa high. Smoke is wonderfully expansive. Warm and euphoric, yet soaring high. The intensity of your draw is felt the most after the exhale as the complexities linger and take over for a long lasting high.

This one also beat my P.Haze for best yield to date. 283 grams. This is my all day smoke now.

Will grow again in 2018 for sure.

Hi, Sativa growers and fans. I started four seeds of Zamaldelica in september and now the one that made it, it's happily nearing her 10th week of flowering. I sow four beans but I think they didn't liked the jiffy's pot were put in. (I didn't have fortune germinating other strains in it so I'm quite sure It's not ACE seeds to be blamed for what happened. I've started the remaining two seeds of Zamaldelica just four weeks ago in root riot and they germinated in two days without problems and are now on bondage treatment and under 12/12 light regime :) ) Anyway I get lost into this amazing tread and I don't remember if somebody asked yet ... are there some "early" phenos of Zamaldelica? Mine seems quite ready. I will post photos as soon as I learn how to do it, I'm new on ICMAG. Anyway I couldn't resist and I tried a little popcorn bud well... I loved how clear was the high, I took a stroll into the city and even if I wasn't felling stoned my head was clearly warped https://www.icmag.com/ic/images/smilies/laughing.gif, trees' bark and all kind of patterned material seemed to me like they were slowly breathing and colors were so enanced expecially red's and yellow's. I wasn't confused but I was able to keep focus on what was around me (and that was looking very strange indeed) but in a sort of analitical and cold mode, I loved it even if it was a quick test of a bad dried popcorn bud!! And I'm looking forward to do a proper smoke test. I also had a very smooth comedown no burnout at all.

I have a Zam/Malawi regular pheno that can be picked at 10 weeks after the initial flowering and cloning. Straight from seed it was more 12-13 weeks but the clone was noticeably faster. I'm running 11/13 light schedule though.

Also with the Zam I've noticed root restriction also drops flowering time. I learned too late that my Zam/Thai pheno doesn't finish indoors without being restricted it went for 14-16 weeks and could keep going in a 10 gallon. In a 1 gallon it's looking to be ready at 11-12 weeks.

Thank you for the info, Nldfarmer I think that she's quite rootbound. She's growing into one gallon pot because I have space issue so I grow in a little 40cmX40x120 cm tent. I think she will be ready at 11 weeks. Here are some photos of her. In the last photo you could see in the upper row a cross I made last year in the lower row two new lovely Zamaldelicas. I found some balls on two of my plants today. Thankfully they were not the Zamaldelica!

I gave them a leaf strip and a lollipop since they have recovered from their abuse. I have also added a far red (730nm) light to go on 15 min after lights out to help with flower initiation. Hopefully it shaves a little time off of their flower time. I am running them at 12/12, after all. Pics from today, flower day 21.

Hi, today I decided to have a closer look to my Zamaldelica thricomes. The look milky with some amber here and there. I think she's ready. I'll wait a couple days and then I'm going to chop her. What do you think ? They look delicious to me :canabis:
