Thanks Saitama!

It is my first time with the zam (excluding two males this summer),I have only grown zamal hash. That one (especially the first pheno)had a rose geranium smell, also some citronella hints, which is pretty dominant in the progeny. It shared a few traits with gerrit's cut as I have observed in photos. The same smell is starting to come out from her, only very subtle and a little more gentle floral hint ,too.

I would say that this one looks that will be ready in 4-5 weeks.I will drop the light schedule to 10.30-13.30 in the next few days..The 11-13 from start of flip is a lifesaver if you need to finish early.

The two Zamals I grew were remarkably uniform and both exhibit very Thai leaning traits, in fact if not for the faint oily smell of Malawi I can detect from the buds I would have sworn I was smoking old school Thai weed.
Zamaldelica is a very mellow smoke I find and it is definitely what I would call time release marijuana :)

Hi aphrodisia,

Glad you have enjoyed with your 2 Zamaldelicas, reminding you the good old school thais ;)

Zamaldelica Smoke report
===================

I pulled a bud from the bottom of the plant about a week before harvest, to let it dry a bit. The bud looked more on the ripe side. The Smell is amazing....Hard to describe the smell, but its exotic and intoxicating by itself. Loaded up the vape. The taste is interesting, can't describe. While vaping it, I can feel the energy increasing...Afterwards, my head felt like it got hotter...and I did indeed feel just a bit of "oh my god this shit is STRONG". I had to keep reminding myself that I have just vaped some zamaldelica.....so dont freak out...it took me a few minutes to get my mind right, but afterwards, I enjoyed a nice clear energetic buzz....Lasted several hours from one vape session. I can only imaging how I would feel if this were in a joint. I would probably need something to do to keep me from freaking out!!! Its a FUN high, but definitely not for the in-experienced sativa smoker. I also can see how using ZAM daily would probably turn you into PURE ENERGY BEING!! This is without a cure. I can only imagine how potent this will be after a few months. SHE IS STICKY!!!! Definitely a good HEAD STASH. The 18 year Glenlivet!! I think I will probably mix this one with a less potent strain sometimes.

Thank you very much for the feedback justabluez :)

Your Zamaldelica really wanted to keep flowering and flowering .... glad she was worth the wait, really nice chunky cola you finally got! Happy that you have been positively surprised with her strong energetic mental effect ;)

1 week before harvest ,my zammy 5# and her friend neville

Wow akirabull
Great colas, you really did master the sativa grow.

Really fine examples of the current Zamaldelica fem version, the flowers have the look of our Zamaldelica elite mother, but yours are bigger and much better yielding thanks to the influence of the New Killer Malawi parental plant.

Wish you have had a great outdoor season as well! :tiphat:

After smoking a bowl of 8-month+ cured, it has actually mellowed into a very nice smoke. Not as many sharp edges!!! Ha ha!!! Really nice head high, floating but relaxed. Cut through the indica that I had been smoking like butter. Quite lovely in fact... WFF

As for the Thai influence, Zamaldelicia does some crazy stuff with different width leaves at various growth stages, and I think you will have to wait and see on the pheno.

I think that the fems that Ace releases are much tighter in pheno expressions versus their regs, which often have multiple parents for a maximum expression. The two Zam fems that I grew looked almost identical and had Zamal/Malawi characteristics of mango carrot nose and malawi type frost, so I would be surprised if yours too far off from this, but like I said that this is pretty wild and untamed plant. I have 3x Zam regular males and kept both my Zam fems to make F2s and a bunch of crosses to explore. Cross this to just about anything and there will be no cousin fucking, like it is from another planet. Haha

The Thai was easy to spot after 4-5 weeks of flowering because the Zamal/Malawi really starts to get denser and add frost. The Zamal/Malawi doms would finish in 11-12 weeks while the Thai would take 14-15 at 12/12 lighting.

Hi WaterFarmFan,

Excellent comments about the different Zamaldelica phenos of the regular version and the fem one, very accurate  Glad you kept males to produce your own Zamaldelica seeds, should be interesting to cross males from the regular version with selected females from the fem version, very good offspring can come out from there! ;)

Happy to know that the effect of your Zamaldelicas make a difference compared with the more standard indicas.

Yes Mr Revolution. Lovely news you got a keeper there. I have just managed to clone my Empress Zamaldelica which is all those aromas you mentioned. It is my third run with her this year. She is my favorite discovery plant in about 10 years... Seriously... I love Zamaldelica.
I was told mine was the Elite Mother pheno as it had such surprizing aromas and terpene profiles.
The dank dank skunky leaf and stem rub. Even today after just two weeks in cloning I gave two away and the guy was already shocked by the pronounced skunk and dank herbiness. !!!
The plant has a bazzooka joe bubblegum element I find almost rose like and floral because of the gernaniol terepene maybe? Anyway it is a plant you need a good carbon filter for.
Once she delivers try to either reveg her or take yourself a clone asap.
You are going to love her.
The resin production is shocking!!!
Terpenes abounding and effect is way way way up there with the very very best. It is refreshing to find something that holds mi like Zamaldelica does. A likkle bit goes a ling way. 5 or 6 hours you be feelibg da bliss.
I am already delighted to be putting her in a 3rd time and have her as a keeper in my garden. Thank you Dubi and Ace Seeds this plant is so super!!!:)

Hi friend :dance013:

Really happy to hear that your Zamaldelicas delivers a complex fruity floral terpene profile and a high quality refreshing effect of 5-6 hours of duration!! Delighted that you consider her as the best sativa you have had in the last 10 years.
Thanks a lot for your feedback, really makes me happy!

I found most Z I've seen growing were going from earthy greasy carrot (Zamal/Malawi) to sweet flowery fruity with a hint of lemon and carrot (Zamal/Thai) and all variation in between, the only which could be labelled straight green mango/carrot I've seen did carry the stupefying stone of the Malawi and translated in a peppery carrot smell when dried. When I bought those seeds I was after the mango/carrot smell of my teenage memories but after growing some I prefer the flowery/tropical fruit pheno of which the high is more what I'm after as it carries more of this subtle microdosed shroom like Zamal high in my opinion

Hi baduy,

Congrats on the harvest! :) Glad you had the chance to grow a few Zamaldelicas this season with good results! As you correctly described, variations (but all of them very pleasant) between floral/fruity and mango/carrot can be found among the range of terpenes from Zamaldelica elite mother, your pics of your Zamaldelica flowers before harvest look pretty much like her!

Wish you are enjoying with your different Zamaldelica females after a bit of curing! Thanks a lot for sharing your results with us.

Just burned some cured 9 months and its getting better and still profoundly potent to the point I tell myself I hit it too hard, 3 puffs on the chill piece....was carroty during growth but is straight sweet ripe mango now. Nice Crystal prodution too! Mine was quick 11 weeks on 11/13. I did limit root growth though. Small plant, but flowered at 2-3 nodes if I recall....

Hi LostTribe,

Zamaldelica revisited! It's always interesting to experience how your flowers evolve through the long curing, you can learn a lot about the terpene complexity that a strain can offer. Glad you are still enjoying her, hope you keep clones of her for future grows.

Hi willydread,

Congrats on your harvest too! :) I'm curious to know more about your slightly purple Zamaldelica pheno, it's not the most frequent one. How are her aromas, taste and effects ? Is she the Zamaldelica parental plant you used for your Destroyer x Zamaldelica cross or did you use a Zamaldelica male for this cross ? Sorry if you already commented about it and i missed the info.

Zamaldelica nearing harvest. Its a small plant that defied all the odds, so close to chopping it during veg as it battled with root slime. Tried everything it kept getting worse.
So as a last resort removed water and air from bucket, left in dark for 5 or 6 days, watered with spray bottle a couple of times. Cut out as much of the brown slimey roots as possible.
Then carry on as as normal. New roots grew and this is the result.

Left for dead, but that little lady had heart. Not sure on the pheno, super resinous, nugs are surprisingly dense, and the dominant smell is an overwhelming peppery scent.

Welcome Herbage :huggg:

Thanks for sharing your indoor Zamaldelica. Glad you managed to recover her health for the flowering, despite her small size she has flowered very well :) with really nice, dense and resinous buds. Based on her look and the aromas you describe it's without any doubt a very New Malawi Killer pheno. Wish you enjoy her!

Anyone else not too impressed with the latest fems?A mate has grown out 6 of them and gave me some samples that have had a 5 week cure that tasted good but were far too Malawi dom for my liking.Much preferred the original regs that I grew in comparison.

Hi jaded1,

Thanks for your feedback. It's hard to please everyone's taste with just one release :) Most of the growers seem to like the new fem version a lot, but i understand others miss the feeling of the original regular release.

That's why i wanted to make different the regular version and the fem one. The current Zamaldelica fem version is a more tamed, more resinous, short flowering and consistent bred, based on Zamaldelica elite mother with a touch of New Malawi Killer genetics.
While the current regular version is much more varied, it's an open pollinated version of the original regular outcross, reproduced using selected parental plants of all the main different phenos found in the original regular release. Guess you most likely will find the type of Zamaldelica plants you like the most in current regular version.

Excellent pheno Syd :huggg:

Another fine example of the potential of the recent Zamaldelica versions! Love her thin serrated thai kind of leaves, with the short, compact and branchy Zamal structure and the very resinous New Malawi Killer type of flowering.

A quite tamed and short flowering female, with a very desirable blend of traits from the 3 sativas involved in Zamaldelica.
She is a very promising one!

God, your garden is Eden with such a variety of high quality strains! :D

Zamaldelica pros! Are my ladies stretching a little slow? First time growing a 100% sativa so I'm not sure what to expect. Would just like to know if I'm on track.

They're in the back (top) left and right. The front (lower) are GTH1

Here is day one of 12/12

on day 7, they were tied down some more

And here they are today, day 13 of 12/12

Lovely plants Saitama! Are the Zam from clone or seed? My seed plants stretched ALOT more than the clones did later. My first clone runs had plants finish at 3 feet versus the 5-6 feet of the exact same plant from seed. My solution was just to place plants on an upside down 5 gallon bucket to keep an even canopy with other varieties, and then just veg longer next time. You did a fantastic job with topping and training (and feeding!), so you will get a nice yield. My shorty Zamaldelicias still put out over 3 oz per plant with ~12 tops.
