Thanks for the positive vibes for me. Last I checked, it's got that fruity pineapple aroma with the pepper/pine/fuel background. Smells like highland Thai. I'll check again next time I go to the garden again this week. If it gets mature, I have no doubt it will be killer weed. I hope it will have smaller buds that are able to be dosed by the full intensity of the sun's rays.

Are you being cereal right now? That’s like the best smell profile to hope for! All the most intense phenotypes I’ve gotten had a combo of fruit and fuel with a spicy back on the stem smells... the black pepper usually means a speedy high.. hopefully it’s not too racy.
I think Caryophyllene is peppery smelling if I recall.

LMAO. I hope it is racy as a shuttle launch. I'll do my euphoric, floaty, glad to be alive observations after the terrorific thrill ride to the peak.

You might be surprised... only weed I ever was afraid to smoke. One phenotype hit me like meth heavy ecstasy. No joke man I couldn’t shut up and I was talking total nonsense all wild eyed and manic for like 45 minutes... finally came down enough to control myself and gave the rest away immediately. Friend I gave it to loved it and said it didn’t do near what happened to me..
I only had two or three tokes from a doobie and was GONE for forty minutes.
Zam is weird.

Edit: just realized I make it all sound scary.. it’s not. Most are super fun.. that was one plant out of more than twenty that I have now grown from Zam genepool.

Did the scary one have skinny long leaves?

I couldn't wait. I went out and rubbed the heck out of those stems. Now plants smell different as they age, and I get different smells depending on the time of day. This was rubbed on a hot sunny and relatively humid day, for this climate. It was just after the sun got low and the plant started getting shaded. It still smelled of pineapple, but it was shockingly tart like a lot of lemon in it, which I hadn't noticed before. It genuinely surprised me, startled me really. There was also that dark aroma in the background, but it was different also. It was nauseating. Hard to describe. It was sweet and yet medicine like, or maybe sewage. LOL. When I focus on it, I want to hurl. The older the stems I rubbed, the more it started to remind me of the peppery aroma, but not quite anymore.

Why... yes. It did have long skinny leaves. I’m pretty sure you’re going to like that pheno... stem smells are right on the money as is leaf shape and that odd blue green colour... new growth probably comes out as some kind of neon lime shade and then darkens? I always liked that trait too...

It used to have fresh leaves that were lighter in color... until I started fertilizing the living heck out of it. It's recovering.

Good news about the skinny leaves. This is why I sprouted 12 seeds and only kept the 3 with the skinniest leaves. I listened to you, thank you very much, and used that fruity spicy aromas as a tie breaker. I also listened to Yoss33 to some extent. The one I put in the garden to grow big was the one that showed pistils first. Zamal? I kept another couple for breeding because one had similar aroma, and looked more like the one that Yoss33 grew. He was told by Dubi that his looked very much like the Thai that he bred to the Malawi for the Golden Tiger side.

I'm hoping I got the seeds early enough before inbreeding took away any clarity of the association of the traits we are mentioning with the highs I seek. I got my seeds 4 to 6 years ago. Some were freebies, so I'm hoping they are even older. Dubi was kindly wanting me to find what I was searching for. When did you acquire yours, if I might ask?

The first one looks like a thai leaner and the second looks more heavily Malawi, but I'm often wrong:biggrin:.
They look great, especially the first one, like others mentioned. I bet she will be the rocket ride, with a nice and clear blast-off.
I haven't grown Zam yet, but have the zam x pan in the ground. On my next order, I plan to get the zam. Am I wrong to assume I will get a more consistent good pheno from running fem seeds or do you all prefer standard seeds for thai phenos? Is there a difference between standard vs fem with regards to potency or consistency in potency?
Thanks for posting GET MO. I pray you find the thai of old, the thai of remembrance.
Peace, God bless

Iirc Dubi has said there are more Thai phenotypes in regular seeds but I personally would look in the fems and just look harder. Fems have a more refined terpene profile and more agreeable structure I think...
