You think you own your property?

They can and will take it away from you for merely growing a few plants.
They can and will take it away from you for not paying your income tax to the IRS (which you guys in the usa don't even have to pay btw).

Your name may be on the deed to your house but the government cals the shots and there's not a thing you can do about it.

And it's even worse in a non-capitalist society.

there's no basic premise in developing the socialism of the xxi century. here in venezuela we follow no old recipe for social models, we are creating our own self made form of socialism according to our unique needs.

Basic premise of socialism: Gov't owns way too much, and people's money is redistributed too much for my liking. I'm very liberal in US terms but socialism is just too liberal for me.

This is the problem with Capitalism we are told froma young age that we are better and they are worse....We believe it as any child taught the sky is blue would. The fact of the matter is I lived in France for 13 months and got to understand the European way of life very well. Socialism works and in fact I would put it to thee test of which pays more tax any day.

We pay for health insurance
We pay for education, elementary, high school and college.
We pay for medicines not covered by our insurance
We pay for re-registering of our vehicles even if the plates dont change.
We pay for our retirement.
We pay an average of 30% of our income to tax: state/federal/social/etc
We pa

They do not pay for any of the above except an average of 40-50% in tax.

After you do the math we pay more than they do and recieve less social benefits......We also consume more than they do and waste twice as much. We really need a reform in this country. Socialism is not communism and comunism is not bad either. The cold war is over people open your eyes....

I agree with Gel..... Capitalism has been the most successful form of society I believe in my opinion, so don't get your panties knotted up, that has existed on a large scale....with the exception of early day Mono Self Sufficient social communities... some today in primitive societies......

Bottom line is that capitalism, socialism, communism they are all different names for the same thing.

Culture doesn't care about you as a person, an individual. The people running the show see you as merely a statistic to be swayed and manipulated to suit their agenda.

Loyalty to a perticular 'ism' takes away your basic personal freedoms and turns you into a 'valued member of society'...or in other words a perfect representation of someone elses idea of what how you should feel, think, act and carry out your life.

Although given a choice I would prefer to live in an ism that at least acknowledges and accepts the idea that all men are not created equal...Some people fail to recognize the fact that some people are born with a silver spoon, while others are born eating dirt with their hands while mommy sells her ass for crack and dassy is in prison for murder. And then there is everyone else. Who judges these people and makes names for them. Great people with lots of stuff and "scumbags" who mooch off the system...

I agree, but until someone creates that perticular 'ism' we must do our best to be suspicious of anything that any current society wants to make you believe as fact.

It is coming...I have no idea what form it will take but I know it is coming.

u.s may have smaller waiting lines, but that just means they care for less people, since not every citizen in the u.s can receive free medical treatment, unlike here in venezuela, even a bum without one cent in his pocket will receive the medical attention he may need if he seeks it, including medicines.
