My local grocery store makes all kind of specialty sausages. Around St Patrick's day they come out with Corned Beef brats.

This year I put them in a shoestring potatoes and vegetable filled casserole. Taters baked at high temps in butter at first to make them crispy. Then veggies with the sliced up precooked brats on top cooked to a slight char.

cheese tortellini with a lovely cream sauce, crispy bacon on the side, couple thin slices of Italian bread and butter, then a simple dessert of just couple scoops of little vanilla gelato followed by a couple of bowls of Mambo Mints

Aldi has spiral sliced honey hams on sale for 87 cents a lb this week. Baking one now.

87 cents a pound?! I wonder if my Aldi has that.too bad it's the opposite direction of walmart.i might buy an air fryer today.after my stove almost killed me and burnt my house down I'm done with them.i rarely cook for more than myself anyway.if anyone has any air fryer tips I'd love to hear them

Fried air has zero clories, but it is tasteless.

That's what I thought but I tried a pork loin on a rotisserie in the air fryer and yes it did seem like it was missing something but it was juicy at least.with my culinary skills I think I could make it work.all I got now is a microwave so anything is better than that.

I was just watching it's always sunny in Philadelphia and I couldn't help but remember Frank's rum ham or whatever it was.thats a lot of ham! How many lbs was it? Might get some lobster tails too if I go.

They were 8-9 lbs. Heat it up in the oven for 4 hours covered at 250F. It was delicious.

I buy bulk pork loins too and slice them about 1.25" then freeze. Wrap them in bacon on the sides and cover with shredded (not grated) parmesan cheese with a touch of paprika for color and curry for spice.

Fish sandwich at "Culvers" and it was surprisingly quite enjoyable! Tender juicy, actually dripping cod sandwiches, mine with mayonnaise and tomato. Actually got the fish for a back up to the "Pot Roast Dinner" which I should have taken images of....someday I'll figure that out....but it was a waste.

I grade it a net gainer as the fish discovery at a burger place is something I'll definitely do. Here's how I "discovered" the local place, this guy gave a good description:

Yeah I love culver's.everything is good but they don't use spices.the fish need salt or tarter sauce and was good fish a little bland.chicken too.otherwise they have the best bacon cheeseburger from any chain I've tried.havent tried there custurd though.onionr rings are good but again needs salt

Had a "walleye" sandwich at Culvers! ( ever have a "walleye" before? I never did till today) Quite a good fish sammich actually. I had a cod sammich the other day which was very good but this "walleye" which they tells me comes out once a year and man it was good!
Here's the review that motivated me to get one:

Never expected a great fish sandwich at a hamburger chain. But there you go ! Oh and while my cod sandwich was not as large as the one in the review, my "walleye" was at least this large maybe larger. "Culvers", a hamburger chain's fish sammiches blows the local fish grill place out of the water!
