what's the problem?

That the landlords see a legal population of immigrants that have some disposable cash for whatever reason and raised the local rents accordingly to personally benefit?

that's the problem, right?
It’s artificial stimulation of prices by the government. Not to mention the benefactors of the inflated housing aren’t even citizens.

Blame the government for creating the incentive structure bringing these people here.

Tell that to people not getting their lease renewed so the house can be rented to hatians for $200 a week per bed.

Nobody cares about the working poor.
So let me get this straight.... Landlords are willingly taking less money (average rent in Springfield for a 1 bedroom is $700-$800) for no reason? Sounds very grounded in reality.

lol the government doesn't directly set the prices.

no mention of BlackRock buying half of the homes that were sold in 2023? it's the "market" and landlords you fools love so much dictating all of this.

low skilled migrants cost tax money . no argument about that . these replacements offer nothing
they're a net societal benefit. we have studies that show this. previously some states removed all illegal migrant labor from their state and the bottom dropped out of their states economies because "citizens" wouldn't do the back breaking labor these migrants perform.

Alabama's HB 56 back in 2011 is a prime example:

Yes they do. Landlords know exactly how much the government will pay and charge that amount.

In a market where most houses rent for around $1000 tops a large number of people paying $2,500+ drives up prices. This is Econ101 stuff.

Mossad: "Challenge accepted"

War crimes are stylish these days.

Terrorism is chic and fascism is coming back into fashion.

Hug your loved ones... the folks in charge don't know what love is, then again, not many seem to.

I fear for the future... but I have hope.
