From a while ago, and bearing in mind that to get included in the list of mortality/dead, the body has to have been found and properly IDed. Body parts and pieces, lacking a formal and confirmed ID, or even bodies lacking a confirmed ID, are not counted. It's safely assumed that tens of thousands (more likely, hundreds of thousands) of bodies are still buried in the rubble.

and who do you think will bring this about ? there are NO local countries capable of doing this. Israel does have the bomb, and nobody should underestimate their willingness to do whatever it takes to continue to exist. they saw what "turning the other cheek" gets you in the '30s and '40s...Syria and Lebanon have no military capabilities that would give them a shot at success. Egypt wants no part of Israeli anger, nor do Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, etc. Iran likes to flex for the home folks, but they'd get an air strike the likes of which the middle east has never seen if they go too far. IMHO, for Israel to fall, it will have to be an outside actor attack by China or Russia. ONE of those duo is busy, and the other one ? is playing a much longer game that does not involve the West Bank... the USA ? LOL! as if...
