Canada's serious about previous DUI's, but really any criminal arrests in your past, to include previous cannabis offenses/convictions, even after their nat'l legalization.

But they also have nearly as many micro-climates as Alaska does, with Northwest Territories, Yukon Territory, Nunavut, etc. being the more extreme and 'arid' (or, used to be more arid, before shifts in climate, much like Interior Alaska).
Yeah id imagine Canada is about the same as Alaska. In my mind im gonna need some serious gear to keep warm. So whats the deal? If i wanna visit Alaska dont i have to go through Canadian Officials? i honestly dont have a clue how that works. Fuking bullshit i cant visit because of a DUI

If you look at the now-milder-than before SE Panhandle, Ketchikan, etc., it's only slightly cooler than Seattle, and slightly rainier on the southern end..

When I was working out of Wrangell Island (and surrounding areas/Islands) in the late 1970s with the US Forest Circus, we got no real severe cold, but could get up to 4' ft. of settled (typically wet) snow. I doubt they see anything like that as a rule now. We used to have snow-shovel races down the hills there in town when the streets were covered. Go to the tops of the hills and sit on a shovel with the handle coming out between your legs and grab hold, then coast down some fairly steep hills.

They're so wet now that they just had a major land slide on Wrangell the other day, that initially caused a number of people to be missing, with numerous others dead.

There's still one 11-year-old boy (??) missing from that slide that threw land and trees (the side of a small local 'mountain' there) across the Zimovia Hwy and out into the Bay. More than impressive to look at the destruction. Literally covered or swept away at least 2 homes. Land moving in the blink of an eye due to saturation of ground where winter ain't what it used to be.

We used to see stints of winter weather where I am where it might be -35 f for weeks, and several days at a time of -55 f to -65 f, with the unofficial record cold at my old cabin's location on the Tanana River of -74 winter of 1989/1990. We haven't seen weather like that in years. But we used to get up in the upper 90's f. back then in the summer, too, and these days 80s to lower 90s is an extreme summer day. And our summers are more wet now, too.

Winter of 1997/1998 I was finishing our warmly insulated and tightly sealed house, and putting Tremco under some entryway decks to better seal the decking at -53 f to -57 f., keeping the Tremco qt. tubes in the caulk gun warmed in burlap bags tied off near the wood stove stack in the basement, and as one tube would begin to freeze outside where I was working, I'd bring it into the basement and swap out a warm tube for the cold one and go back to work. That weather's no longer here.

Any time you're close to the coast, which is a HUGE thermal mass, your weather is typically much more moderate than inland, BUT you are also susceptible to more high winds, which have at times been much worse than before all of this shifting of what were once predictable patterns of weather.

We're -25 f. at our house this noon, and that's the coldest we've been this winter. (Not that I miss the cold, now that my body's breaking down, especially).

Record for cold temps in the general region is over at Snag/Snag Junction, Yukon Territory, Canada and I forget the year, but they officially reached -83 f. back when they were on the standard system, before completely converting to metric.

I'd been avoiding the forums due to a humanity overload, Hawk. Came back for the music threads and the war thread. Mostly the war thread. But talking about war requires some sort of outlet and mine's music.

Just had a pompous Zionist at the site I'd been dropping links at tell me bluntly, "We're not equal." Which I replied to with, something along the lines of, "That's part of the problem, the Zionists make that overwhelmingly clear. Thus, they practice reciprocity of all sorts fairly poorly."

WOW! coldest i've ever been out in was -17 f. had to go in after the two mallards i shot, but the river water coming under the TVA dam is around 55 f year round. getting in was easy, as was swimming out to the ducks. getting out and drying off was harsh... pony tail froze before i got my toboggan on...

why would you take dead bodies? making Soylent Green to feed the prisoners? sounds "shaky" at best to me...

Why would you destroy mosques and plant flags on beaches and hospitals? Lots of odd shit already done.

Also I thought the deputy mayor of Jerusalem claimed this of Hamas the other day?

Also wasn't this alleged to have happened before at Shifa hospital? I seem to recall the IDF refused to answer? Israel has a history of refusing to return dead Palestinians going on since 1967.

It's a start re. the most immediate issue at hand.

Maybe someone can leverage some shame in the Oval Office and our UN rep re. tacitly condoning 75 years of land theft and other war crimes.

And the standard Jewish response at the site I've engaged in pointed conversation and dropped links at? I've been accused of being a non-person, a 'terrorist', ignorant, and more.

Apparently anyone who raises the issue of, or points to the inherent criminality in Israel's litany of war crimes is a 'terrorist'..

Like little children; as long as anyone who opposes the criminal agenda is a 'terrorist', it makes it all good.

I prescribe 3 days locked in a sound room with nonstop Otis Redding music and serious doses of LSD, in the hopes that such persons can locate, barter for, buy, or otherwise find a soul.
