bahkmut will go down in history as the single biggest blunder the russians have made since they failed to take kiev.
they are totally failing to take vuhledar. the russians are attacking across open fields straight into strong defensive lines.
they are dying and losing equipment in huge numbers.
it's a stupid way to fight.
most of the newly mobilised are being pushed into battle with very little training or supplies.
dying because of stupidity!
what kind of army has to force men forward at gunpoint to make them fight.
shooting their own people in the back for not obeying orders to go forward and die.
close to 150,000 russian dead. Over half their tank force destroyed.
they can't use their air power over ukraine because everything gets shot down.
the only thing the navy can do is launch missiles at civilian infrastructure.
most of those expensive missiles are being shot down now because of the ever-increasing air defense network the ukrainians are building with the help of western allies.
trying and failing to destroy the power grid. it is now the end of winter and the ukrainians are still getting electrical.
the Ukrainians are getting stronger and better equipped while the russians are getting weaker and can't seem to resolve their logistical problems.
200,000 men expended in the opening push and then another 350,000 mobilized.
why oh why do they have to do all of this if they are winning the war.
putler has major problems at home. it looks like opposition groups are staging attacks on fuel depots and munition storage facilities.
infighting between the wagners and the regular russian army.
it looks like the russians are being attrited, not the other way around, as entropical suggested.
the russian army, by modern professional standards, is an untrained drunken mob with no regard for human life.
nobody respects the russian government now because of putler.
they are seen by the world as ass-licking clowns and putler stooges.
this thing could drag on for a while but the outcome is already clear.
the ukrainans are waiting for all the munitions and weapon systems to arrive and then i think we will see another major push to drive russians out of ukrainian territory.
similar to the ones that occurred in kharkiv and kherson.
