War

War is nasty, and this one is all on the PTB that are controlling the west, and their hatred of Russia. Why does the west hate Russia, and yet love Africans, Hispanics, Arabs, Orientals? Americans should love Russians too. White, Christian, moral, smart. Their women are beautiful when they are young. They like to drink and party. We were partners in WW2 against Germany, but that didn’t last long.
This says it all. The Rights love of Putin is just racist and cultural.

What about your hate for Commies? After all your country had a cold war with Russia for 50 years (because they were Commies). Although they aren't strictly commies anymore, they are now a bunch of crooked oligarchs. Similar to Trump I guess. Who do you hate more, Commies or Democrats?

I'm amazed that American citizens now love Russia more than their own country and actively work against US interests. There's a word for that.

it's not the right in general. it's the trump right. that's why i have brought trump up several times. he has encouraged this war.

he has influenced putlers thinking on this war. trump has shown weakness dealing with russia, which is always the wrong thing to do.

rex tillerson, james mattis, and john kelly are all honorable men who tried to serve their country. They tried to protect us from trump.

they are what i term "intellectual conservatives", and there's nothing wrong with that.

in the tradition of William Buckley.

but the trump right is a would-be lynch mob of white nationalist extremism. fascist and, like all ignorant people, prone to violence when they don't get their way.

violence is the last resort of ignorant people who can't get what they want by logic and rational thinking.

he made it ok to be a racist in public again.

I've always been very anti-war. I grew up watching demonstration about the Vietnam war and it left an impression. If you give Bob Dylan's Masters of War a listen that pretty much sums up how I feel about war in general.

I have some sympathy for the position that some in this thread take, that the West supporting Ukraine is prolonging this. It certainly is. However, if my country were invaded by a bigger power (wont name the country), I would want the world to supply my country with the means to defend itself (once we could not continue on our own). I get that there are likely far Right extremists in Ukraine (as there are nearly everywhere, US included), but to me Russia is the obvious aggressor, and in the wrong.

I don't wish to see war, and it's continuation, but the only other alternative is for Ukraine to give in. Not an alternative I would wish on my own country so I support Ukraine.

i am 72, i protested the vietnam war. i am anti-war too.

but there comes a time when it is necessary to fight. and this is one of them. if the west does not stop putler in ukraine he will be in another country soon.

his intention is to take back all of the former territories of the soviet union.

the meeting in davos is about ramping up the production of munitions and the logistics of supplying them in a timely manner.

slava ukraini!

James "Madman" Mattis is an honorable man, but yet violence is the last resort of ignorant people? Seems incongruous to me.

People should understand that there is nothing backing up a paper dollar. When Nixon closed the foreign exchange of dollars for gold in August 1971 it was a declaration of bankruptcy. Kissinger somehow got the Saudis to agree to only accept dollars for their oil. In return we would keep them in power and safe, while we plundered their oil. They could spend those dollars on weapons, treasury debt, stocks, weapons, and more treasury debt.

The current regime has turned the game around. The other players are responding. Perhaps the rate of money printing is gonna get increased to make up for the foreigners reduced treasury buying.

The year 1971 was the peak of happy living in the USA IMO. This is what the country has been living on since…

Why not just print all the dollars we need? :)

Here is the same article, but with a good picture of xi and MBs, vs th3 pic of joe and MBs in my earlier post. Who are you going to trust, especially after Afghanistan? Americans better tighten their belts and be ready for tough times. Of course, more socialism will be offered as the solution. Think Venezuela, and we saw the preview with the Covid shortages. I had TP stashed, cause that was what went out first in Venezuela.

It means that they will be buying whatever isn’t nailed down that they can carry home. Farmland counts, cause they can ship home the crops. The Chicoms have bought a lot of American farmland, Smithfield meats, and ?..

Gonna be some good chaos, as the forces of evil and good clash. Liberal woke west vs hard money and commodities producing east. They want to weaken Russia, that is the us/nato stated objective. Is that to try to take her stuff and keep the western
party rolling?

The American deep state went crazy when Trump said it would be nice to get along with Russia. They had other plans it seems.

mattis engaged in warfare in the service of his country. he was not part of a violent mob seeking to overthrow the government.

you do know the difference. you are being obtuse.

Yes, his kills were in service of maintaining US hegemony. He was part of a violent mob overthrowing OTHER governments. I know that difference. Not being obtuse, just responding to your views.

NATO objectives don't say anything about weakening Russia.

Nobody besides Rush Limbaugh says "chicom".

Trump wanted to be Putin.

The entire world went crazy when Trump kissed his ass.

We certainly dropped a few pegs under that bumbling joke of a dysfunctional diplomatic dumbass.

He still doesn't understand how he didn't win votes by saddling up to the worst leaders, or even understand what the UN was laughing at.

TDS never gets better. It's like worm in the brain, just keeps eating away. It's the hate you feed on and lash out at anyone who doesn't agree with your view point. All while repeating the same stuff the MSM says in unison.

Maybe you can brush up on meme making?

i must have missed that one, sounds pretty cool though! now you have to explain it!
idea was low-orbit space-based platforms, with giant tungsten rods in an array. no explosives, nothing. just these things dropping out of a clear blue sky, no warning. bundles of 20 ft long, i ft diameter tungsten rods slamming into the earth at about Mach 5 unleashing incredible kinetic energy & blowing right through anything in the way to incredible depths into the earth. "too expensive to get into orbit" they said. a bit later, Space Force was formed... :shucks:
