Russia didn't do what NATO is always doing and that is just bombing whole areas.Russia did another approach, but the clown in Kiev only listen to what the US says, so Russia is now attacking the whole infrastructure and that in winter time will be hard for some.
I'm staring to the map, but NATO has a problem and that is that different members cut their defences for many years, so build it up will take years.

Ukraine is not a threat to Russia.
Ukraine used as a Proxy military by the United States, to wear down the Russian military, possibly prior to ANOTHER conflict - that is the way the USA works.
The problem with wearing down Russia's conventional military is that it moves forward in time the moment when Russia uses Nuclear weapons.
None of this is a Secret, the US has hundreds of analysts that war-game things like this.
Russia ends up with an incentive to simply wait for an opportune moment to attack the US - if they know the US is going to beat them up eventually anyway.
Then Russia's biggest concern is to ally with China.
And then what happens in Taiwan might affect what happens in Moscow.
The US told Russia to invade Ukraine so the US could control the Ukrainian military but they don't really have control of the Russian military?
