Hey red the smell u described as the "lumbo" is it incense smell ?

Congrats on beating the cancer btw

Ah man thanks so much, smoking and sugar are the cancer food. Quitting tobacco was hard enough but sugar is the drug.... but the smell. Oh man the "lumbo" smell and taste was indeed unique even to this day and like all cannabis smells it's hard to pinpoint an exact comparison. There were many kinds of Colombian buds with a thousand colors and tastes, smells and highs but to me it all had a common smell (not high). Maybe cause it was pressed and cured kind of the same but. It was like cedar incense, leather, earthy aroma sometimes almost sweet, that was very different from the Mexican or Thai around at the time. Even the shitty seedy grayish commercial Colombian kind of had that "lumbo" smell to me. I haven't smelled it in years even down here but I damn sure remember it.

Still have to have another cscopy in a a few weeks but I don't think I've got anything ( I'll take some extra CBD oil just in case though).
Thanks again to everyone so nice to write again and quest for some decent c-bo

I believe it was a natural smell. I’ve had Humboldt outdoor weed that was golden brown and had that smell, but the buds were fresh...... it’s genetics

Ha ha ha

Ha ha ha

Man, I'd hit that in a heartbeat!

I walk around here all day repeating that in my head ha ha ha. But yeah that's Punto Rojo grown out down here a few years back. It's one version of many "Punto Rojo" scattered throughout the country, I love it but to me was lacking when compared to some of the other plants I had at the time. But it has that taste, be it a little sweeter I guess from no pressing but still kinda woody leather earth type smell/taste. And you got to be committed to growing this plant as it's no 6 weeker, I think they can just keep growing like this one.

Really nice plant, no clone of course..

Thank you so much bigherb, it's a great pleasure to return to my friends. The quest here never ends but always seems to be right around the corner. However I think it's in these seeds I'm popping ha ha ha. Here's some "cobbed" Colombian grown Red Snake from last year.

These cobbs were a tasty treat and resembled the hit from old Colombian but with no seeds and louder terps. I think once I get the exact right location, the right altitude, soil, water (rainfall) and the correct genetics I can work on growing and traditional curing/fermenting and one day have the Colombian I remember. Or die trying.

Great to see you again red rider. You may want to look into tumeric and hops for natural cancer fighting effects.

Is Charlie still around? Making some awesome strains down there I hope.

Hey buddy, thanks that cancer is scary stuff and I'll look into anything to prevent it. Yeah Charlie is working quietly and that's all I can say about him at the moment but all is fine.

Yeah I started pissing blood and other unmentionables around December of last year. Scared of doctors, needles all things medical so I put it off till January and went through all the tests and unpleasantness but they kept putting off my surgery, for about 4 months. But in July the got me, tube going into my bladder after the "procedure" for 8 days, evacuating into a bag I had to carry around. Man, don't even want to think about it or when my female doctor removed the catheter. But yeah you know all this stuff and I hope they put you to sleep before your next "observation" like I requested. I actually don't mind the needles any more after all the damn blood draws and injections I've had this year (so far). Anyway I go back in less than a month and ain't looking forward to it but got to do it (damn it).
I wish you the best and may you be clear and free for all your days.

Yeah having a foley bag for a number of days can be a pain. I had my prostate taken out Aug 24th. I am still leaking a bit of urine unknown to me when it happens. No more sex life. No more cumming. Don't get old.

Oh man so sorry for you, I hope you can recover as quickly as possible. I knew like in January that I had a "growth? in my bladder but I had to wait till July before the surgery. The roughest 6 months man not knowing how bad the cancer was and how deep while pissing buckets of blood. Really the surgery wasn't that bad and the doctor said right after that it looked superficial as the biopsy later confirmed. But I've got to go back in a couple weeks for a look see which I've got to be sedated for. Not looking forward to it but I got to do it, you're right about getting old. My health is just one of the many challenges I face down here now but I'm optimistic and pressing on.

Some Santa Marta Gold I grew out down here in 06, just thinking about this plant reminds me of what can be.

I still have my dream of a finca and everyday I'm getting closer to it despite the delays and distractions.

Soon will be breakfast coffee and SMG at a place like this.

I hope it works. Almost as much as I hope you can someday ship cobs and seeds to the US. Keep up the good search and keep sharing. I love reading threads about the herbs I used to hear about and the places they are grown. Thanks
