Even without all of that, several years ago there were abysmal failures with facial recognition tech, and especially when it concerned Black people.

It even failed fairly often when scanning the faces of well-known Black people.

There's a reason that many civil rights orgs are not in support of it, aside from the simple right to be left alone.
