Good to see this thread back up front! And its great to see a post by redrider! I love that very distinct odor/flavor of the cts. Its almost like some kind of air deodorizer. Its definitely a winner. Its now officially less than 1 month until my trip to brazil! I can't wait. Talked to luiz on the phone this morning. He's got some amazing stuff in store to show me. You'll all be reading about it soon!

Oh yeah thanks for the pics of the celestial temple, bud. I was just talking to a girl who just came back from ecuador yesterday. She loved it there.

What a coincidence, In my favorite bar, last Friday, i talked to one of my friends (Marie, 57) and her daughter has moved to work in Ecuador. Is everyone moving to Ecuador or what? LOL if so, can I be go with you?

And leave some room in your suitcase for me while you're at it. I must be completely repeating myself, but I've just got to say once more I'm still enjoying every single pic posted in this thread. Hats off...

Donc on continuera en Français à partir de maintenant? Great to see so many nationalities united over here. Looking forward to seeing some of your CT Sativas Budelaire. I'm in for some sativa outdoor fun this season, so I'll post some pics as well on these boards in the near future, in the RotUST probably.

Stay safe and keep it green everyone. :bandit:

Where does C.T.S. originate from?

Where does C.T.S. originate from?

Bonjour tous et toutes,

Here is the Celestial Temple in the ruins of Ingapirca, in Ecuador. It is located exactly in the same region as described (from Federation seeds) of where the C.T.S. comes from.

Hola Budelaire nice stuff comes from Ecuador, the climate there has got to have some sweet spots.

Here's a few finished samples from my recent grows here at altitude in beautiful Colombia.

Upper center is Sour Jack (JH XTurboDiesel). Center Colombian Gold (pure) X Afghan (Nirvana F-2). Left Pure Santa Marta Gold (6+ Months cured). Right Sour Jack plant #2. Center front Motarebel's Killa Queen 2006 F-5 (G-13 X C-99). Lots of good in South America today.

Peace from Colombia

That Sour Jack must surely be one of the finest freebies ever given. Nice to see the hybrid bud contrast with those other pure sativas. Cheers for the pic!

I think I'll try to pop some of my Ecuadorian bagseed beans this spring and put them outside, just to get an idea of what I'm in for. I doubt they'll finish in time in the cold, wet Dutch climate though, but I'm too curious. I'll save the best looking seeds for later, when I have enough time and space to grow them inside. Just wanna know if there's any potential for a keeper. :D

Too many keepers planned for the future. I'll have to do a little pre-selection. Mota's Sour Turbo is also still chilling in the fridge, and my outdoor garden will be almost filled with African sativas... Ooooh choices choices! And such a horrid climate lol... Plus I want to stay close to 5 or 6 plants max during flower, because I live in a very crowded neighbourhood near the city centre and I don't want to provoke anyone. Well, a little, but not so much they'll call the cops on me who will take my plants away.

@Budelaire: Salut! Do you have any pics of the actual spots where the renowned Ecuadorian sativas are supposed to grow? Always trying to imaginarily place myself in the local setting and get an impression of the environment these plants are used to develop themselves in. Thanx in advance for any area info!

Hola Nept, here's a couple more snaps for you. The farmland around here is so beautiful it's almost fantasy like. The sun is so intense but the air temps stay nice and cool, I think this could be perfect home for connoisseur cannabis cultivation.

Mad Scientist, the Sour Jack is fantastic! Really nice powerful plant, I like it better then the Killa Queen (ATM). Looking forward to seeing how your Ecuadorian grow goes this summer. Should be a lot better then the brick it came from. I know you got bad weather there but its great you can still grow.

Peace

Id love to ride through country like that someday

Hola Nept, I took those photos right off a major road that thousands travel daily so it would be very easy for you to do someday. Here's some pics from a bus trip I took a week ago.

pipeline, come on down we'll go drink some tea.

Peace from Colombia

Amazing shots man. Incredible... Is that greenhouses in the second pic? And do you have anything like a wet season? If so, have you ever experienced any problems with mold? Or would the airy structure of the buds not let that happen. Or do they have a natural resistance against it perhaps, like some thai strains for instance?

I'm wondering how much influence on mold-resistancy they'd have in a cross with a pure indica. You posess a hybrid with an Afghani, right? Has mold ever been an issue?

Sorry for the crossfire of questions! :D I'm only baffled with the beauty of the landscape and it's plants. Inspirational. It's things like these that make me realise how much of the world is still to be discovered by me, and that there is some of me to be discovered by the world as well. It reminds me that life is worth living. But enough of the philosofical babbling, I've made my point. Just greatful this thread is here for us to enjoy I suppose... Next holiday destination: South-America?

Keep up the good work! I'll make sure to post pics of the Ecuadorians in the future. Finally a worthy contribution from my side hahaha... :D

Cheers.

Hola MS, the two pics above were taken from a bus going extreamly fast down a very twisty mountain road in central Colombia. Yes we have a "wet" season where I live from March till June then again from August till December. I've had mold but even during the wet season the air is not too humid and the mold was only on two pure Indica (WhiteRhino and Dreamgoddess). Colombians (sativa pure) never mold, even the densest bud stay free. I know now to grow my Indica when they will finish near the dry seasons.

I'm wondering how much influence on mold-resistancy they'd have in a cross with a pure indica. You posess a hybrid with an Afghani, right? Has mold ever been an issue?

Neither of my two Colombian/Afghan crosses had any mold problems and I finish the first one (Colombian coastal green X Afghan) during the rainy season.

MS I can see your burning the good...but really I invite my IC family to not only come visit me but come to see the beautiful country and meet its friendly people. There's nothing like being high as kite and taking a drive to the countryside and meeting the people, sharing their food and culture. Life really is a fantastic journey to be traveled.

Peace from Colombia

beautiful pictures redrider! :)
speaking of the potential in south america, it is a shame that most of the land is owned by a tiny fraction of the population; i think colombia's private land is owned by less than 5% of the population, in venezuela the percentage is even smaller.
so say you would like to buy land, it can be difficult nowdays because of speculation in prices, most people will sell but only for a price inflated x10 or more... it is kind of sad to see most farmers in the colombian and venezuelan andes are landless and mere employees with very crappy pays... i sure hope in colombia a socialist president gets elected and kicks out the transnationals making all the socio-economical policies for their benefit at the expense of the well-being of colombians.

one love!

I'll be watching for a response to this question as well,as I have long been interested in this one along with the Brasilian Green.I tried Luiz, but evidently his computer won't cooperate, and sadly I needed to work out something a week ago.

I gotta tell ya tho,a recent post that Dubi made has all but convinced me to try the Manga Rosa as well.

Those are indeed some enchanting pics. Thanks for posting them.I have long considered moving to Col,but the wife wouldn't agree to it.The wife is SE Asian,so that is where we are relocating.

yeh - red and black South American strains interest me greatly

I am also intrigued by the Manga Rosa, and the Brasilian Lemon, which is a cross of MR with another 'secret' plant also sounds very promising

the latter could take the place of Leda Uno, which is the only remotely SA strain I have right now

Columbian Black I would also like to get my hands on

Have people noticed that Seedsman has out a new F1 - Columbian Red x Original Haze?

Bien sûr Mad Scientist, here are some pics of the Ecuador highlands where the Celestial Temple Sativa originates from. As you can see, the Celestial Temple really do exists. Ingapirca, they name it.

Roughly translated as "The Walls of the Inca"? Many thanks for that name. I'll do some area research on altitude and climate etc. to figure out how to best treat my ladies this summer. If they'll germ at all that is. :D

Very pretty pics as well. Were you there on holiday?

A+ ! :bandit:
