It seems that every week or so the U.S. announces a new multibillion-dollar package of aid for Ukraine. These aid packages fall into two categories: Some are simple financial transfers to keep the oligarchs in Ukraine supplied with funds to keep their government going.Others consist of weapons including drones, anti-missile batteries like the Patriot, long-range artillery and most recently an announcement that the U.S. may supply Ukraine with Bradley Fighting Vehicles, or BFVs.
The total of such Ukraine aid, including the $1.7 trillion budget boondoggle passed by the U.S. Congress two weeks ago, is now approaching $100 billion.
When it comes to weapons, there’s a lot less than meets the eye in terms of helping Ukraine. It appears that Ukraine is getting billions of dollars in equipment, but in fact, Ukraine is getting castoffs from U.S. inventories.
What’s really going on is the U.S. is dumping old or obsolete systems on Ukraine (the original BFV was built in 1981, over forty40 years ago) and then using the appropriations to order new weapons for itself.
Meanwhile, the U.S. will likely send Ukraine an older version of the Patriot air defense system — and only one battery at that, consisting of eight missile launchers. It’s not the game-changer many seem to think it is. The Russians will simply overwhelm the system with numbers, and then take it out. It probably won’t last long whenever it’s deployed, which could be several months from now.
The real winners of these weapons transfers will be U.S. defense contractors like Raytheon, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman, who are getting the money to build new advanced systems for the U.S.
The real losers will be the Ukrainian people, who will continue to die needlessly in the absence of a negotiated settlement that recognizes the reality on the ground.

What did I want him to do............well, first off he didnt have to go out & make a speach to his followers lying to them saying Pence could throw out the electoral vote and use a FAKE slate of state electors to falsely claim he won. He could of refrained from turning on Pence because Pence followed the constitution. He could have refrained from telling the angry mob of MAGA people to march to the capital. He could have denounced his supporters who put up gallows and were calling for Pence to be hung and who knows what they would have done if they found Pelosi.
why did the MAGA narrative go from it was blm and antifa wearing trump stuff and carrying trump flags that were the ones who broke into the capital to Trump saying he will pardon his supporters over the 1/6 incident and that it was Pelosi & McConnell who are to blame for the lack of security.

Why did trump wait so long after His people stormed the capital and starting breaking windows before he asked them to leave and when he did tell them to leave he NEVER condemned the actions of beating capital police or breaking into the capital and offices.

You don't get it. If the republicans give in to Democrat demands all the time they are not representing Republican ideas or their constituents when they do that. Adam Kissinger is the #1 example of that. But he has his reasons to hate Trump. The Left takes it as an example of reality when it isn't. The IL Dems cut his congressional seat right out of the state.
Let me know when the Dems want to give up some of the gains the RINOs have given them over the years.
you dont get it. This isnt an Autocracy led by 1 party, this is a Democracy where our 2 party system demands each party to compromise a bit and when one party decides that we dont compromise, then they no longer want to be in a Democracy.
Do you think a healthy Democracy = no compromising from either party?
And do you think democrats dont / havent had to give in to republicans on some issues?
I do believe it is becoming more common to not be bi-partisan and that is no good for the majority of Americans.
