Hey buddy, glad to hear everything went well while you were out of town and that you scored the lights. I'm out of town myself and have a buddy taking care of things. Got a report from him that all is well and that I have a purple/red pheno... can't wait to get back and see.

Thanks. Number 5 dropped its nuts today so it had to go. The rest look good but they wanted water. Probably the stress of moving them around so much lately. Still have some auxillary lights and it is creating a little extra heat. But I need the lights until I figure out all the sex and see if I can fit them in tight as they are very bushy.

Five for sure. Pretty sure Eight but three have very tiny white hairs that are coming out slowly and not as abundant. But I will keep scoping them as I am pretty sure I will have eight. Maybe one is a "herm", I am not sure.

My buddy came by today and we did a little different light sealing thing on the door as the last job was sloppy. Had some nice flexible PB and stapled it around the door edge. Worked like a champ. Hopefully that will help the humidity situation as well.

Thanks for everyones support. Keeps me going.

Sudden weather change. The outside temps dropped as rain came through. Flash and gone.
So the girls got to go outside for a visit while I cleaned the closet. No critters seen.
All have hairs showing. Some more than others. Makes me wonder if one of them is a herm but I would not know what to look for.

lookin dank T5! About putting them outside while you look for bugs....I have done this, actually I would let them go outside for a little while and use the sun for a bit and then bring them in later. What I'm saying is just don't do it too long, bugs will for sure get on them if they are outside even for a short period of time. Keep it clean, my buddy just got clones from his buddy and I had to give him the sad news that he now has spider mites! Don't **** around bro! haha They look really healthy and big as always, PEACE!

I see white hairs on all eight. Hey Greenhead did any of your girls start out really really slow on hairs? On five the top areas all had a good set of hairs. on the others the hairs are small and slow to grow.

Thanks. It is the tradeoff kinda thing. Actually my wife is watching them like a hawk while I clean. Then they get brought in, I put them on a table and looked at with the micros, measured, check soil pH and moisture. Water if necessary and then under the lights.

They get a makeover I guess you would say. I dont like to stress them out like that but it is better down the road when the really get into flowering. I get really noid about moving them too much.

They will get nuets next time although they seem to be growing at a uniform rate. Got to get those flowers going now! :jump:

I only had two females, but they're both about equal in terms of hair growth. I still think that the growth is a little slow, even though they're on day 22 of 12/12 at the moment. I'm experimenting with a few different ideas to try and get the buds to bulk up quicker. It might be that the plants are growing just fine and at their own pace, and I'm just being an impatient fool, but we'll see, lol.

Big makeover coming

Big makeover coming

I live in a place where we have a weather flip. Now it is not triple digits, just the opposite. My buddy who loaned me extra lights and I were looking at my dilema, Great plants, too much for my tek alone. After getting into a few bowls, talked about what to do about the lights. Well I had a bunch of guys that owed me so after a bunch of horse trading, I ended up with a almost brand new 1000 watt HPS and ballast.
My buddy took my existing duct work and added another 6 inch duct and fan. It is now rigged so that light is completely cooled by the outside and ducted the outside. But it can be bypassed to heat the inside. So I was very excited about how all worked out.
Today I gave back all my borrowed lights and removed my tek. The HPS took over and the room is at 89 degrees 45% humidity. I still have the outside airduct and motor for fresh air so I can continue to use that as well. In short I have a bunch of tools now to better control the environment.

While I wanted this to be a pure T5 grow, I just had some bad timing. They just got too big for my single TEK. I have no talent for tying and training. And too many females (never thought I would say that). So I well somewhat bummed that I am cheating on my T-5 brothers but on the other hand, I got to get the most out of what I got.

I am now preparing a new closet. My T-5 will start my next project. My new plan is to start my next project just like this one. Grow them as long as possible under the T-5s and then switch to HPS. So T-5 can have a new closet to start the next project. And when the weather flips again in March, T5 will handle the entire grow.

Back to Northern Lights. They are very happy with the temperature and light. In just half a day, they have spread out and turned up a notch. Some white hairs showing on the tops now.

I will post some pictures as soon as the flowers show up clearing on the top. Forgive me my t5 brothers for I have HPSd.

Good call. The exhaust fan is now working again so it is 82. Down to 65 at night though... I know that is a big swing but they look healthy. Think I am ok? Thanks.

F U C K yes it's ok! haha, I might have even said that 89 and you could make it, but 82 is great man. My cab is usually around that and my buds do just fine. At night my cab gets about 65 as well, and personally I like this because it will add color to some plants that turn colors. I don't think it lowers the yield a great amount, so I would say your fine! Lucky you switchin from T5 to 1000!!! Hahaha your ladies are gonna trip! Great work, look for a much higher yield now huh!!! PEACE
