Hey T5, brought my stadium chair in to sit in on this one. Really good timing since you're just a few weeks ahead of me, gives me something to gauge off of as I'm going. Great job buddy!

Thanks. They are getting tall under the T-5s and they are tolerating the heat better. It is almost day 45, switch to flowering. Hope I didnt let these veg too long but I think by doing so I have a few more bud sites. But then again, what do I know?

From what I've read on here, if you can handle the extra height from the extra veg time then theres nothing but good things to be had from it. I have some height issues to deal with until I redesign my space, so mine went into flower almost straight from seed (1-2 weeks old when flipped to 12/12, slight age gap between them)

ya you can never veg to long unless end hight is a factor.. (within reason)
get some gravity or somtin.. if issue, theres a few things you can get to shorten her up
(its to late now for this grow but actinic Plus's keep nice and short without loosing end yield)

Thanks for the words - you guys keep me going.
My dilemna is that I am cant physically switch stuff around and turn into flower mode until Wednesday. Stupid medical stuff, treatment backfired badly, another story.
Long story short, I am going to have to leave the grow on remote control for a few days. My plan is to water them heavy today and set the light 2 inches higher and pray.
I have plenty of verticle room so that is no concern, it was the three gallon growbags I was thinking of. Will they out grow them??

Some friends have helped me round up parts and they said they will have something put together by time I get out. The guy that really has baled me out is very ill so I have no one else that knows about the location of the girls.

On the positive side, it will keep my attention focused on my garden and give me a reason to get home soon.

Any other suggestions welcome but my plan is the overwater today and hope they can survive until I get back.

How long will you be gone?

What are your temps like?

How long does it take for your plants to be dry enough to want water?

She is a tough som'a bitch, hopefully she will hold out for you.

Thanks kurly your right. The sun has been blocked by smoke so the temps have been 85 on avg. I use the meter and about every other day or every third day. I went ahead and raised the lights, gave them a watering. If the temps will just hold, maybe. As to how long, I am really hoping by Wednesday. If nothing goes wrong, I should be back. Nothing will go wrong, I will be back. The plants will be ok. Think positive.

Northern Lights Project Day 44

Northern Lights Project Day 44

Well I am here so everything went well at UC. When I got to my closet, all the plants were looking fine. Dry but not even drooping leaves. Very tough strain. Gave them a good watering. Lots of mist.

I had help so I moved all the plants out of the closet. I put on my mags and looked for pests. None found. Then I looked at the growth and it was very bushy. All in all they looked healthy.

Scrub down the closet, cleaned up everything. Sprayed for spiders. Then I changed out the tubes and added another bank. My friends rigged up some stuff for me while I was gone and picked it up on the way home.

Smallest is 13 1/4 and Tallest is 16 1/2. 14 Total. I suspect #4 and #9 because they are just too big.

Set the timer to twelve and twelve. Tried to reseal all the little cracks in the door. Made sure they all were wet and gave them a last misting.

Now we start to watch for boys and girls...

My Stats for 12 12 start

My Stats for 12 12 start

1. 13.25 2. 15 3. 14.75
4. 16.25 5 13.5 6. 13
7. 15 8. 14.75 9. 16.50
10. 14.5 11. 15.5 12. 14.5
13. 15.75 14 15.24

Mistakes to date: humidity, corrected
Grow bags: Make sure to fill and settle the soil before transplant. It really settled.

Plus - Lush growth, nice color, no bugs, FF nuets are doing the job, minimal outside nuets needed.

Added - more fans. more fresh air intake as in a 6 inch duct and motor, more circulation from new motor cage fan, humidifer and frozen bottles

Worries- Too many females. In my dreams but room becomes a premium so 50 percent would be perfect. Humidity. I am getting there slowly. Climate is changing a little to help.

Added - buddies rigged some additional side lighting for penetration. Also added some bulbs they rigged up to fit on Tek Unit. It all fit when I got back. Heavy red spectrum all the way as they have bushed out enough for 3 gallon bags.

Notes: I really like the growbags. Easy to deal with. Really like FF Ocean potting soil, minimal nuets needed so far. The ones that I added a coco soil topping to dry out on top. Ok boring stoned notes before bed.

Nah dude your keeping a great journal! Next grow you have you can refer back to this anytime and I'm sure it'll help. You even measured all your girls?!?!? Crazy, good work bro. I just started using T-5's for my small veg cab. They are awesome already, I think they are cooler than my last set of flouros, they work WAY better the plants grow so quick, and I have more room in my veg cab because these T-5's are small as shit! Can't wait to see your flowers, good idea about extra ventilation that'll help so much. PEACE!

Thanks. I am a little too anal at times. I really love my tek 48 and with the newer generation of tubes, the grows just keep getting better. I get lots of good suggestions here from the members and keeping adding on. And I have lucked out. I think it is the Karma from fellow growers.
This morning they all looked ok after the switch to 12 12. The orange glow is there.

By adding some side lights and additional banks overhead I was able to spread out the plants. Figure I will have removed a few males within the next week so I can center them more under the tek. I figured when I thin out the males, I can pull some of the extra tubes and start on my next batch of seeds. Getting way ahead of myself.

Thanks for everybody sending the PMs. The medical thing is fine and I will be here to bug you a little while longer. Docs still amazed, I know it is the cannabis.

Well since I had to go to the big city, my wife had a chance to shop. Nice young guy had a nice little shop. Was really anal about the lights so I know we didnt get screwed.

D Rock my friend great call on the grow bags and FoxFarm.

Latest news: Might have a chance to get another Tek48 on a trade deal. How can I pass that up. I can find a spot. What would happen if you ran 4 banks of red and 4 banks of blue the whole grow?

I started a Northern Light Clone under the T 5 tek. Had to switch to a friends house and then back here outdoors. Here it is manicured wet and hanging in a dark hallway. So a preview of what I think the buds will look like on this grow:

The third day of flowering and WOW

The third day of flowering and WOW

I was really surprised. It took them no time to drop their pants! Here is the rundown today:
1. 15" Female
2. 17" ?
3. 16 3/4" ?
4. 19 1/2" ? (looking male)
5. 15 1/2" ?
6. 15 1/2" ?
7. 16 1/2" Female
8. 16 1/2" Female
9. 18 1/2" ?
10. 16 3/4" Female
11. 17" ?
12. 16 1/2" ?
13. 17 1/2" Female
14. 17" Female

Females all had at least four sets of white hairs. Never have I seen them show so quickly!
The ? get two more days. Show your sex or your gone. But the larger ones have the look and I am sure they will be males.

Over an inch a day under all the red is blowing me away. Now I am dealing with low humidity again because I have stopped the misting. When I see hairs, the misting stops. So hopefully a few more bottles or pails will help. I will be digging in again first thing tomorrow. Got a feeling a couple are headed for the shredder. Got a bunch of tubes going now and my friend wants to add some CFL to the sides. They are so bushy I think I need to get more light into the middle.

The moisture meter is average 4 to 5 so it looks like 2 to 3 days between watering. I am going to give them nuets this next time and go high on the bloom according to the label. :jump:

How much are you watering them? I was watering mine 4-6 cups of water every watering and Im on the same schedule as you every 2-3 days they need water. Well you have several Females and I know you will have some good smoke, just a little longer. Looking good!

I use the moisture meter to check. I use the small watering bucket with a spreading tip on it which makes it easy in the grow bags. It is not a lot and I am willing to bet it is like 4 to 6 cups of water.
Yesterday I did the nuets when I watered and they look ok today. I actually used my pH meter and got the mix to 6.8 before watering.

I am surprised still at how fast those females showed up. Fastest yet. Maybe the extra veg??

The surge in growth. I have been charting it. I am trying to figure out what causes the spurts of growth. Just adding more lights and changing to red caused a big spurt. Then then slowed a bit. So between the temp, humidity, light, heat, food does it and maybe I can figure it out so control it better.

D Rock these are bushy bushy buggers. Never had that under an HPS.

I have the questionable ones at the front and will keep a sharp eye on them. The mags show something going on but really tough to tell. The ones to date have been really obvious, either two long white hairs or two or three nut sacks. Right off the bat. Those were easy. THese last few are taking a little longer but I am holding on them as I think I can see hairs starting with the mags.

Losing a few more wouldnt be a bad thing. They are so bushy, I need to spread them out to get that light in. Northern Lights have really big fan leaves as I found out.

Now lets get these flowers going so I can catch back up with you guys.
