Why the hell would you wanna listen to death metal crap while blazing?

Myself I enjoy listening to metal stoned but listening to the cookie monster with a mic just doesn't make sense.

I usually listen to Machine Head's Burn My Eyes Album have been for years and their newest the Blackening is great also. Lamb of god are also pretty good, Tool's probably the best Vio-lence, Sepultura. Seriously Black and Death metal is awful i've never seen how people enjoy it.

HAHAHA It's so funny you say that... "cookie monster with a microphone" lol.

Have you ever heard A Call To Irons (1, not 2)..the third song is the Trooper performed by Vital Remains and I always picture Cookie Monster with googly eyes singing it hahahaha. No lie!! It's hilarious.

I love Maiden covers. \m/

HAHAHA - very good description! I myself find some black metal really amazing when blasted out of my mind (to be honest, thats what got me into Cradle Of Filth). The new MH album is good - I am glad to see Robb taking that band back to the metal roots of music, their venture to "nu metal" was scary.

Whats your favorite sepultura album? :headbange

im a big megadeth fan here, have always enjoyed Dave mustaine's lyrics and really enjoy countdown, youthanasia, and have actually started to like the newer albums.

His message is always clear and to the point.

Sounds like you had an awesome time at the show and its always interesting coming back with battle wounds. my last nice one involved the metal railing seperating the floor from the stage, felt great on my ribs i tell you what.

Hope that your nose heals up quick and nice to see more people showing up here.

It was their old guitarist, After Logan left the band went downhill but ever since Phil came in they went back to their roots so it was obviously it was him. Chaos A.D but their new stuff is ****ing good too. I enjoy most metal, Alice in Chains are also great probably the only Grudge band I enjoyed.

Anyone here like Ministry? I think some of their music is really great. I like how they incorporate their message into their music. I recently downloaded their newest album Rio Grande Blood and laughed my ass off to the title track where they edited quotes from George W. Bush to make him say things like "I want your money; it's the governments money" and "I'm an asshole."

It's also amazing to listen to and think that the guy shreading on the guitar is 48.

right on mate :joint:

i personally like every album of his Killing is my business, Peace sells, So far So good so what, hidden treasures countdown to extinction (of course), youthanasia, criptic writings, UNITED ABOMINATIONS( HAVE U HONESTLY LISTENED TO THAT RECORD!!!! AMAZING!! he is still rockin out in 2007!!!just like the early 80's) the only 2 albums i havent listened to are RISK and world needs a hero, i can only imagine how good they are. alot of people talk sh|t about those 2 albums saying they are experimental (for Mustaine) but i am sure they are just as wonderful

and ontop of having great vocals and lyrics (which he writes and sings himself) he can play some of the most complicated and intricate guitar riffs and solo's ever devised.

:rasta: :headbange :rasta: :headbange :headbange :headbange :headbange :headbange

EDIT: he doesnt remind me of the cookie monster either! and u can understand what he is singing about thats REAL METAL :joint:

I Nobody had heard of bands like Metallica and Nirvana yet, so you really had the sense you were into something brand new. It was really funny too..

Tool
High on Fire
Mastodon
Electric Wizard
Ramesses
GodFlesh(My #1 favorite band of all times)
Wolfmother
Q.O.T.S.A
DeathBreath
Regurgitate
Necrophagia
Melvins
Leng t'che
Cianide(great old school band from chicago)
Usurper
well that gives you an idea of what I like ,but is in no way everything.

Whats really funny is you just referred to Nirvana as metal. Obviously you dont know much about music.

And Tool isnt metal either. Hard Rock with slight metal influence sure, but it definitely isnt metal. 10,000 Days has a real heavy Meshuggah influence and would be their most "metal" album
