Man, people Have i been being lazy lately. Sorry I haven't been keeping this thread going more. I've been working alot lately and getting home late(no time to jump on computer).Today starts my weekend though so I got a little time to post.

Hey whazup Dimebag...good to see ya, I have to say I've been getting the urge to pull out my Pantera albums and give a listen again.I've had several songs from "Far beyond Driven" stuck in my brain for a coupla days now.

I've been listening to alot of Ramesses and that new Orange Goblin alot lately,
I also gave a listen to the new Pig Destroyer called "Phantom limb" pretty decent,it was produced by Scott Hull of Agoriphobic Nosebleed so it kinda has his signiture in the music, very angry, abrasive and really fast.Overall a pretty good release.

If you like Electric Wizard or any band in that vein, you'll dig Ramesses. It features the ex-bassist and drummer of E.W..Ramesses describes themselves as free-form psychedelic Jam, which fails to properly describe them IMO , besides being that.. their music is very dark in a way thats hard to describe..kinda makes you feel like you've been locked in a tomb in the bottom of the pyramids somewhere LOL ..being that 2 out of the 3 members is from Electric Wizard these guys don't dissapoint ,trust me on that one.

Funny enough , I've been in this uncharacteristic mellow mood lately, been listening to alot of Beck and Grateful dead, shit like that lately...What's happening to me!!!! LOL J/K

Right now I'm waiting for the new High on Fire due out in Sept..I can't wait for this one as this band has never dissapointed me either on the speakers or live. This one is gonna be great.I'll keep everybody posted on it.

Allright well I'll stop back in later. Peace out Witch.

I also would like to recommend the newest Leng T Ch'e(said:leng-shay)I think..."Marasamus" on Relapse records. After weeks of searchin,I finally found it and just gave it the first listen...truly incredible, especially if you like grindcore. This one is a little less tounge in cheek than their previous material, darker and heavier.A def. keeper.

Good to hear you have been in a relaxed, mellow mood lately WitchKing, nothing beats being at peace with where you are in the game we call life.

im going to have to keep an eye out for High on Fire, sounds like you really dig their music.

Hope all is well with your ladies in the garden... im very interested to watch you finish out those Neville's haze... should be some kick ass head high smoke.

i really enjoy mellow music myself.. led zep, grateful dead... so many damn good bands that i have just not listened to in a while.

So are you puffin some Kali mist i take it Witch? i take it your enjoying it :D

i will have to be dropping by here more often as well... been damn busy with the garden and all... trying to keep the ladies happy ... seems to always be a full time job heh.

anyways bro, just wait to see whats to come in the garden... going to be some craziness.

>>>>>>>

Also, its good to see you here as well QueenofGreen, we have run into eachother on another thread and i must say its nice to see more females joining up here on IC.

As i have stated im a huge fan of Acid bath... all their music is so great..

i go and see dax play everyone once and a while, probly have seen him play like 4 or 5 times just last year and talked to him.

also got a chance to chat it up with Sammy for a little while after a Goatwhore concert... but he some some lil cutie hangin all over him so he was pretty distracted.

iv seen dax play here in cali quite a few times with his project deadboy and the elephantmen.. he has a cute chick drummer that was playing with him but im not sure if she is still goin on tour with him.

usually its just at small clubs which is really nice... i just wish he would do more of his work from Acid bath.

heh... in fact i happen to have Finger paintings of the insane playing right now... good song..

Since my buddy sent me some songs i dont have of these groups iv been listening to alot of:

Chimaira
black label society
corrosion of conformity
children of bodom
throwdown
unearth
god Forbid

anyways enough rambling out of me and i will catch you guys later

Smoke on :joint:

Yeah, I was way into Acid Bath for a while but I never liked any of Dax's stuff after they stopped playing. It was too mellow and like all the Acid Bath songs I skipped anyways... But I'm down with Goatwhore and Crowbar; My boyfriend used to talk to Sammy Duet on AIM for a while but only to bug him about music stuff.
I don't think they would play Acid Bath songs in concert or anything because when they stopped playing it was because Audie, the bassist died, and he was good friends with Sammy. The drummer even stopped playing music altogether I think... I think it really tore the band apart when it happend.
But anyways I should probably stop rambling about them.
And I saw Children of Bodom a few years ago in concert at a small venue. It was pretty rockin'.

thats pretty cool, and for the most part dax's solo music can be really depressing and slow... but i just really enjoy his vocals.. and his lyrical content..

Sammy is definitely as bad ass... i always really enjoyed his back up vocals with acid bath. and really enjoy him in Goatwhore.. i dont like all their songs but most of them are great... i think i saw them in hollywood when i was waiting to get tickets for Alice in chains.. if my memory serves me correctly... maybe it was frisco ... cant remember.. but anyways there were maybe a total of 50 people in the club they were playing at and it was really cool to just be able to go and watch sammy up front and center.

it was a great tragedy when audie died.. and im sure it tore them up alot.. every time i see dax play there are a handful of people screaming for him to do some acid bath acoustic but he usually just ignores it...

anyways i enjoy discussing music so hopefully we can get some good topics going to come.

i havnt seen Children of bodom play but iv heard they are great live.

Hope your all havin a great day.

I saw Deadboy and The Elephantmen here in San Diego and it was insane how morbid the lyrics were. Im pretty sure the chick that was drumming was the most coked out person in the venue that night.

The lyrics on CD are pretty depressing but when played live it doesnt seem as bad (but i guess thats kind of hard to be depressed playing on stage)

DimeBag - I love the avatar, taken from my favorite Pantera video - you are correct in your headline - dime will never be forgotten!

yeah definitely soulfly, that chick seemed pretty scattered.

That pantera video was great... i love how they show the russian cops or security or whatever the **** they were beating the people in the mosh pit.. that was such a huge venue.. went as far as the eye could see....

from what i remember and i would have to check my ticket stubs, but i think it was san diego that i saw either Goatwhore or dax play when i was waiting to get alice in chains tickets... my damn memory fades... but either way usually only hit socal for shows... not much else down there for me...

o yeah saw pink floyd or actually i should say Roger waters play at the hollywood bowl... now that was a bitchin show... puffed down alot of hash that night.

anyways looks like we might be gaining some people for discussion on music here, so much good music that has been lost to me that just need to be refreshed for me to remember how great it was...

anyways Keep on keepin on guys.

Yeah that video was crazy - the show was very shortly after USSR fell to democracy, from what I was told that is why the troops were beating the kids and shit - they knew no better after 30 years of communistic doctrine. If thats true - i don't know, but I do know that show set an absolute precedence for future metal shows/tours.

Its good to see a metal thread on ICmag - I have a very wide range of metal in my veins. Started with the essentials - Metallica (master and justice) then slowly started going into alternative/grunge. Found my way back to metal with the whole nu-metal scene (that didn't last long - thankfully!!!).

Have had the good luck to see some AMAZING live shows in my time, hopefully many more memorizing shows!!

Nice to see I've found another NIN fan Soulfly (refering to your sig) But I thought it was "twenty-six years on my way to hell"
I was way into Nine Inch Nails for a long time (and some other industrial music as well) but I don't really like any of Trent Reznors new music.
Have you seen the Broken movie perchance? It is quite grotesque...

Haha - you are a true NIN fan to catch that - you are correct it is "26 years..." but I wanted to have my own flavor and tossed my age in for the hell of it =) Ive seen the video for Happiness in Slavery but thats it - havent seen the movie.

The NIN stuff is good in its own respect - my friend and I watched the newest DVD "Standing beside you in time" and it was ****ing AMAZING! We both really enjoyed it and seeing how much energy Trent still truly has.

Ow yeah - just read about your wisdom teeth - dont know if that shit is true but seems like a risky choice - my advice, try in the bathroom =)

I knew that was what it said! :)
The movie is pretty much like the video for Happiness in Slavery except extended, with more toture and the like. A friend of mine bought it and got a kickass shirt that said FIST on the front and F*CK on the back.

The whole wisdom teeth thing confuses me. I don't think I'll give it up for a whole week but I probably won't smoke too much before I go in.

Oh, and I have said it before, but I shall say it again for all who are reading this thread. 8 Foot Sativa is an awesome stoner-metal band. They are quite popular in New Zealand, and for good reason. Check out their first two albums "Hate Made Me" and "Season For Assault"

"You're stone monolithic
I smell it on your breath
You gotta 'bout nothin' to say
Keep spending all your money
And love yourself to death
'Till daddy takes your T-Bird away

You want a new load of garbage
I'd love to drop it at your door
Your gonna eat it little piggy
You always gotta have some more
You're stone monolithic
I smell it on your breath
You gotta 'bout a nothin' to say
So download some garbage
And bake your empty head
'Till daddy takes your T-Bird away"
