Awesome thread i must say!!! Everyone has contributed many great bands, god to see alot of metalheads here. Here is some of the stuff i listen to:
Cryptopsy, Aborted, Hate Eternal, Pantera, Sepultura, Brujeria, Deicide, Nile, Cannibal Corpse (not for the faint hearted!!), Fear factory, Opeth, Origin, Zyklon, heaps of other awesome bands. Also love to hear old school metal, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, King Diamond, etc

nice thread, i just listen to acid king on loppen on christiania. very nice band with a female singer.

i hope love kyuss, my absolut favorite stoner band. after sabbath maby, hehe

pantera rules forever, but i dont consider it stoner rock

Do you know (los) Natas? Their first "Delmar" and "Corsario negro" are also excellent.

Yeah Esbe...I hear you...Kyuss really rocks! A true stoner band..! Blues for the Red Sun is my favorite Kyuss record...

Lately I have listened a lot of old shit I used to dig very much back in early 90's, Ministry (psalm 69 is a helluva album) Pantera, Alice in Chains, Tool, Primus and Danzig...omg how good of a album Lucifuge is, damn was like 10 years ago the last time I had listened to it and it hit me hard I can tell ya, AIC Dirt has been in the player for months now, a fantastic album...what else? Only now I have started to dig Kyuss and QOTSA and such bands but I still love Black Sabbath, too bad that Ozzy has become such a clown, makes me puke every time I hear or see him in MTV or radio, music is bullshit and the man is just sad...damn...SUPERNAUT!!!!!!!!!! 1000 Homo DJ's verison of that song is absolutely fantastic, a diamond.

Back after a long while. Thought this thread might be a good place to ask if anyone knows good metal / punk / rock bars, clubs, what ever in Amsterdam, Apeldoorn and Haarlem? More UG, the better.. thanks!

Some Finnish bands I've been listening to lately:
Rytmihäiriö "Seitsemän Surman Siunausliitto" - fast, aggressive mix of thrash metal and hardcore, though leaning much more on the metal side nowadays.

Cacodaemon "Tales of Demoncy" - quite raw sounding, dirty, groovy old school death metal with occult feel to it.

You guys from europe will have to get me the names of some good metal and rock bands that are good from the area, so much music i am missing.

iv been going back to alot of the older music i used to listen to, but still love to hear new tunes whenever possible.

As far as bad ass lead singers go, the chick that is the lead singer of ARCH ENemy has some insane vocals.

right now iv been listening to Black label society, Zakk wylde is a bad ass on the guitar too, and i really wish him and Dimebag had more of a chance to make music together.

Check out German thrash metal band Holy Moses, they too have a female vocalist... one mean bitch. Good stuff, awesome brutal vocals. And she's pretty hot too :joint:

FJ, you mention Tool, Primus, Danzig...oh boy, those are my old time favorites too :D and I agree what you said about Ozzy and what he is these days...just sad...

Btw, any Amorphis fans here..? Greatest Finnish metal band ever...! I have following their career since their first record...and this friday their new album is released...! Can't wait..!

DimeBag, you should check these ones too...Entombed, Death Breath, Dismember...especially Entombed and Dismember are legendary death metal groups..! godfathers of european metal..!
...and Rotten Sound is awesome, finnish grindcore..!
