does anyone in the collective have an idea how to run a 380v electric motor on 220v?
i read a bit online but dont know how to go about it.
i could buy a phase converter which is cheap, but it looks complicated.

i opened the little box on the back and it looks like it can run on both voltages.

the plaque on the motor agrees

it looks like a quick fix but of course i dont know shit so it might not be a quick fix.

if i could keep the motor as is and rewire for 220v i could save the money from the converter and buy a smaller servomotor to operate another part of the machine separately at variable speed.

Been toying with the idea of getting a hive for a while now.
How do you find it?
Its really self maintaining. I don't harvest because of lack of time, but every year or 2 I rotate the bottom bottom box to the top to allow space for the bees to continue to build upward and not look for a new home. I am in the process of moving the bees to a new box my mom and dad got me for Christmast a couple years ago. The old boxes are starting to degrade.

The propylis is the glue from the bees, and it holds the thing together for the most part, but the base is about gone. Sitting on concrete pavers.
Is it some kind of smaller native bee?
Here in Australia there are some tiny little bees smaller than a fungus gnat.
Could also be a predatory wasp. Its easy to get them confused because they look similar and mimic each other. Not sure if you had a firm ID on Belida bee. Never heard of that. We have a couple similar green bee/wasps.
i often get asked "which country do you originate from ? are your parents foreign ?"

i take it as a compliment , i must be exotic to them
My Aunt has dark complection even though grandma and grandpa are not dark at all. Sometimes it pops up, we have polish and german background I think in that side, maybe scottish too. Its been a while since we looked at the family trees.

Probably look more foreign since you just had a few puffs. :smoke:
Yes but I've been trying to look up what kind , looks almost like a sweet bee but I'm not sure .apparently there are over 4000 native bees species in North America. It's a Beldia bee lol

In 'Scribes and Scripture' it says t he books of Enoch and Jubilees don't have any commentaries, and because of that, they may not have been as accepted as cannon of the Holy Bible.

Matthew 16 NKJV

The Pharisees and Sadducees Seek a Sign

16 Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; 3 and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ [a]Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of [b]the prophet Jonah.” And He left them and departed.

The Leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees

5 Now when His disciples had come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. 6 Then Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the [c]leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.”

7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we have taken no bread.”

8 But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you [d]have brought no bread? 9 Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up? 10 Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up? 11 How is it you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread?—but to beware of the [e]leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” 12 Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the [f]doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”

14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not [g]prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth [h]will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

20 Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.

Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection

21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.

22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, [i]“Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”

23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are [j]an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

Take Up the Cross and Follow Him

24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. 28 Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

the plaque on the motor agrees

it looks like a quick fix but of course i dont know shit so it might not be a quick fix.

if i could keep the motor as is and rewire for 220v i could save the money from the converter and buy a smaller servomotor to operate another part of the machine separately at variable speed.
too technical for me . i have no idea myself

Week from today, its looking pretty solid above average temps and lots of precipitation. Not even going to get below freezing at night potentially. We'll probably see another round of cold and snow in Feb. after that passes before its over.

Still steady at 5 F now, and going to pick up wind in a bit, staying below 10 F. Scraping the 1/2-1 inch snow off the drive again. Glad we didn't get too much snow and I'd have to clear a bunch of driveways.

Covid-19 shutdowns and testing caused Honda to stop producing these in much quantity. They have been in short supply for a couple years now.
