Good to see all the responses on the import situation, and thanks for taking the time to type all that!

I wouldn't say that where I am is exceptional by any means in terms of access - nowhere near any ports, so all will be brought here by road. There is a lot of homegrown available here - again, whether that's exceptional I don't know, but I DO have friends who drive from London occasionally to buy here, as they can't find anything of similar quality, and I'd have to agree. Whenever I visit friends in London, I always take weed with me, and they always ask me to bring it!
Maybe it's because it's so big, I don't know, but I've always found the cannabis available in London to be very average indeed, and usually overpriced.

My contact for this stuff only deals in imported weed, as he doesn't really like the knockout stuff, and many of his customers have jobs - not a cost thing, just that they have to get up in the morning! I'm definitely encouraging him to always aim for the pricier product, and if he can give me a location or origin, so much the better!

The hash again is usually sourced through established, long-time folks who don't do anything else either. But it's always good quality gear here - I haven't even seen soapbar in at least five years, and the glass weed was around for about a fortnight, until it was run out of town by the quality posse.

Also, I remember posting endless pics of quality hash and weed last year that I was buying during the so-called 'drought of 2006' and I was asked to stop doing it, as it was making everyone too jealous, and that I was spoiling the 'theme' of the thread! How we laughed...:)

@ island herbs. Oh I wouldn't do that man. that is mostly the south east asian genetics I was warning you about. I never had KM before but from what I understand its pretty racy, and paranoia inducing.

I'd try a colombian strain perhaps. Maybe something from ACE. Some of the guys from spain in this thread are pretty familiar with their selections they might be able to help you. But something from lower central america or south america is probably much more along your lines; I've found them to be contemplative, not anxious, and not overpowering. perhaps Tikal;I never tried it but ACE says its a guatemalan hybrid with no anxious effects. And people seem to trust that bank around here.

Awesome bro.. thanks.
I checked it out and it sounds like just what i'm looking for.

Glassweed: one uses some kind of fine-grained dust or quartz-sand or things like that to make the weed heavier than it is. That is for money and it is really harmful to the smokers health if one smokes too much of this. In my opinion this action is against quality weed.If I knew the person who found it out I would kill him. This is crime against weed and smokers. I live in Central Europe and this kind of weed is around here for a year. Fortunately I am rollin my home grown :joint: Now I began to experience growing sativas cause I am fed up with those dutch knock out genetics.

hey sativa lovers, have any of you heard of a strain called jerry berry? the reason i ask is over the weekend thats what i was apparently smoking, it looked very sativa, large lanky calyx's, airy leafy nuggets, and that telltale cerebral smoke with a berry spice aroma and taste. whether it was or wasnt jerry berry it was some good weed.

A question was asked about this strain, I've got a couple in outdoors this year at 45 degrees north. So far it's a standout variety, very early and strong flowering and it's getting full of resin in the last week or so. Should be a very heavy yielder. It doens't look like a full-blown sativa, the leaves are more intermediate, about like the Apollo 11 I have going, but I think this strain has some real potential as an outdoor crop in northern climes. The two I have are outdoors in sort of a greenhouse with no roof, they get about 6 hours full sun per day, the walls are just for privacy. They're about 8' tall and 6' wide, grown in 7 gallon planter pots with compost and coir.

These pix were taken Sept. 1. There's two of the WOS Thais in there too, they haven't shown any sign of starting to flower yet, you can see them in the background of the first picture with their skinny leaves. Looks like I'll need a cover on the greenhouse for them to finish.

hola sativa lovers
in france a lot of commercial weeds are full of glass or sand...look at those scanners pics:
http://www.droguesnews.com/album-314209.html

another thing: I got a batch of Primera Dama from delicatessen seeds but can't find any info on that strain or even that breeder on ICMag
It's a serious breeder from spain and that PD is an IBL based on an ancestral mexican pure sativa according to him
any infos 'bout the strain or breeder?

hey man, im sorry to break it down to you like this, BUT delicatessen Seeds is NOT serious - they are just a bunch of ppl crossing dutch over-the-counter genetics..

im sure it should be of same quality as DynaFem and the lot. (nothing special at all)

but i hope its a nice smoke, and i wish u a lot of luck with them.

actually to my knowledge this far there is only a few REALLY reliable spanish breeders, and they are all present here at icmag. a breeder that doesnt in public want to defend his work is really not to trust a lot is it..

check out Cannabiogen and ACE seeds for serious ppl :D

sometimes i get a bit sick of these ppl popping up all over spain with scetchy genetics, just to make a quick buck. its all for the money, and the fact these ppl rely on the fact the vast mayority of spanish growers dont have internet, or knowledge in general of genetics.. its not cool, but the fact is here in spain most ppl think the dutch seeds are Very expensive, so a lot of money hungry souls just gotten a load of dutch beans and cross everything, to produce cheap seeds in mass.

i mean first year i moved here i got an offer from a local growshop for making seeds for them (with the genetics i brought!), when i refused, later they went behind my back and tried to make my co-op partner do it - but in vain.

all the best, bone

peace :D

Thank you bonecarver for the quick answer
no problem about breakin it down, that's why i post in this thread: to hear something more realistic than marketing bullshit...
I'm not spanish but i was told it was a serious breeder several times when i went to spain...a lot of people like their reina madre, nuh ?
yep theres a lot of new spanish breeders ...nice to know ace and cannabiogen are reliable people

wow that glass weed is crazy. if you just glanced at it in a bag you would think you hit the jackpot. looks like trichs.

I guess thats one good thing about living in a violent hell hole. It wouldn't be long before some body shot that dude over bloody rolling fingers.

Yep it looks like trichs for a non grower and it's heavy...when you smoke it it is crusty upon your teeth... poor commercial quality down there

That glassweed is rude! Another reason to grow your own!

rkrone, Jerry Berry was created in Vt. and is THE most-hyped outdoor variety in the N.E. area. A lot of peeps sell anything as JB, but if you get the real deal, it is quite good.

I am a fan of Biddy Early as well. It isn't a total sativa, as Early Pearl, Skunk, and Warlock are it's components. Like Raco said, it has an 'old school' charm.

thanks for the info highlighter, i had some (fake) JB a few years back that was nothing compared to this recent stuff, i have to say i feel like i had the real deal...the high was incredible, but it builds tolerance rather quickly and like i said it had that berry spice aroma and flavor

Hey Bob Jones those killi are looking nice. Very early for a sativa. Do you think you can get some pics of those thais? i'm considering getting my hands on some thai seeds in the near future. I haven't been much into the sativas but i think i'm ready to give a pure sativa like thai a go.

peace

I'll get some pix up, but not much to see yet. They're the World of Seeds Kho Chang "Wild Thai". They're about 8' tall and about that wide, lots of branching but not the slightest sign of flowering yet. I live in a mild climate and they can probably go into December as I can put a plastic cover over them, but hope they start flowering soon.

The Kilimanjaros are crazy, you can see the buds filling in from day to day, it's amazing how fast they are filling out and frosting up. Back in the late 70's and early 80's I did some commercial grows with seeds a friend sent me from Cali, these plants are a dead ringer for them with their early/fast flowering. Just picked a small sample bud last night, dying to give them a try and see if the smoke keeps up with the growth.

Here's a pic of the Thai from June, until I can get a current one up.

You can see one of the Thai in the right side of the background of this pic. I've been pinching them back and bending the stems from the start, they'd probably be 15' tall otherwise.
