big respects to motaco. i man is a big time sativa fan. there is too much influence of indica in my area as people think that is the only cannabis worth to grow (commercially). i am in speaks with many breeders who are bringing many great sativas to our area in hopes of seeing new hybrids. keep thread going and i bring pictures when i find them.

right on man it seems everywhere u go indicas and hybrids have taken over. most of the stuff amongst the myriad of names smokes the same especially after smoking the same strain for awhile. it tends to blend into a stupid out of it type of high that isnt really all that pleasurable just kindaehh.... i have has some great strains though the ones that you smoke and gets you to the same place everytime. a high with character that is distinct and easily differtiable from other strains.tenfeetofganja said:

I know there are those of you who did dealings with Luis and know him to be good guy in many ways. And there are you on this thread who really enjoy a good sativa but have not dealt with Luis. Either way, if you have are planning to buy seeds you might give BSC some business to help out fellow human being. I am friend of Luis, and know him not to openly ask for help, so this is when a friend must be a friend.
Luis is having a bad time as of late. Maybe some know this. His daughter got robbed last friday and the thief punched her face pretty bad because she didn't have anything good to robber. Because of circumstances, he is bankrupted right now and is having to struggle to live. There is little food to give to his family. He is poor. Luis wife isn't taking her medicines cause they don't have enough money to buy them or even to go to the Doc. She´s got profund depresion and needs medicine to sleep so she isnt sleeping well for over a month. Many things getting worse.
I am afraid for him, his family. If Luis must sell all to help his family, then we all lose his experience and genetics, with business gone. What is to become of life for him? Do we care that we cannot get his seeds? He offers good seeds and gives away seeds too. His heart is a good heart. I have a good heart and am doing what I might do to show that goodness flows to good people eventually. I am saying this all because you don't know if I don't say it. Luis does not desire gifts of charity. He just wants to run his business but needs people to buy his goods.
So, if you will buy seeds anyway then maybe you can buy seeds from Luis. Maybe help is not too much asking for a good man who is one of ours. Maybe someone here can tell someone else if it is not being too very much to ask. I am only one person and can not do all by myself. I only write so you know the facts. I am so sad but I carry hope for Luis and his family in my heart.

Maybe people who aren't really picky about the highs and just wants really potent smoke doesn't mind indicas and hybrids. Also for small time growers like my self, I like them better for the simple fact that most people don't have the room for those giants nor the patience for them to finish flowering. And if it isn't done with enough light indoors you won't be getting the optimal results, do it outdoors though then you risk getting caught lol. Honestly I've never grown a pure Sativa indoors so I don't know how much light it takes for it to form nice buds but I do know the hybrids that I grew did good under just 250 watts 
. In America it just isn't a good idea to grow outdoors. Especially when the plant can reach up to 10 ft. And like I said I can't argue with you guys. I only know a small bit compared to some of the stuff I've read on here so I don't know jack. I'm sure if I had the honors of smoking a nice pure Sativa I'd fall in love too but since I can't I'm just as content with my indicas lol.

If you wont something bad inuf you can do it with some thort and effert.
See a lot think sativas take longer than your normal hybreed or even indica to harvest BUT heres what a lot dont take in.
Your normal hybreed or indica needs how many weeks in veg before you even sex them ? , 4 weeks and some vegg them for a lot longer to then you have say 10 weeks of flowering with most strains that are hybreeds grown from seed right.
If you add up vegg and flowering times togeather in weeks then add up how long a sative grown direct into 12/12 its not that much of a diffrence realy sure a few extra weeks but look at what your getting.
If you want to keep them short all you need to do is take clones root them in 12/12 cycle and as they show roots put them into your grow space at 12/12 and as they get to say a ft tall drop the lite cycle to say 10/14.
If theres a will theres a way.

Yes it's definitely one of the star strains. Even the rubbish from my aborted grows compares favourably (sometimes more than favourably!) with available commercial sat-dom offerings. I'm sure I'll get it right eventually, even if it means having to move to Papua...

Ok, first the starting point:
And we do some B & B:
This diffuses the plant growth hormones and put all the growing energy into lower branches.
This isnt the same plant, but it has received exactly same treatment than the previous, but has been bondaged for awhile:
After this it´s up to you how big bush you want, you just have to repeat the treatment :wink:
I hope you & others found this info useful/helpful in your "bonsai" experiment! I have to say generally, that almost every sativa/sativadominant hybrid that I have grown has responded wel to this kind of training. However, there are strains that doesnt like to be bondaged, but ill get back to that more specify in the tutorial...

Damn, I would love to own a house which has big attic
However, I dont sell my erb, so I should smoke constantly after waking up if I someday purchase the house with attic. It would just be for making selections with bigger numbers involved, but thats only a dream that is too far away...

EDIT: BTW: about the problems that start after 4:th week of floweringcycle, I assume you are talking about some kind of calcium/magnesium defiency which is very common with them sat´s, so just add some extra calmag and everything should keep flourishing!!

Nice plants everyone, it’s great to see such exotic sativas being grown out and bred with. Herbalistic, good luck with your Rooibaard grow, please post some pics when they’re growing. Hope you get some good keepers from those seeds.
I harvested my little Malawi girl today, she could have gone longer but it’s spring here and the plants heading back to vegetative growth, so I had to harvest her a little early. I’m really happy with her, she’s a really special pheno and will be re-vegged and used as a mother.
The yield seems very good for such a small plant and the buds are also quite chunky compared to most long thin Malawi colas I’ve come across. She’s also surprisingly pungent, the whole area I was manicuring her in was filled with a strong, lovely sweet sativa smell.
Here’s some pics of two of the bigger colas:
