She looks to be a 2021 finisher, late january.
I would cut the N or reduce it to a minimum at this point.

Looking sexy :)

Cheers

Hi there
A couple of experiences here about sex outcome
Dubi says here his experience. He comments firm colombian males are hard to find while Sam and Tom comment haze which is colombian doesnt hermie
Hi,

Yes, i think i commented previously the growing variables that affect female/male ratios in regular seeds. When the regular seeds are reaching their sexual maturity:

- Excessive nitrogen produces more males
- High temps produce more males, cooler temps more females
- Plants get rootbound more males, plants have enough root space more females.
- Crowded gardens produce more males, seedlings grown with enough space between them produce more females
- Outdoor seeds planted late in summer produce more males, earlier in spring more females
- Long photoperiods produce more males, shorter photoperiods more females
- Lack of water or nutrients during sexing produce more males, the right amounts of water and nutrients more females
- Plants abused during seedlings stage with stress (excessive pruning and other stress) tend to become male more frequently, properly attended seedlings produce a higher female ratio.
- Lack of proper ventilation in indoor rooms produce a higher male ratio, well ventilated indoor rooms produce more females.
- Yellowish HPS light spectrum produces more males, whiter-bluish light spectrum more females.

Usually tropical pure sativa landraces like Thais, Soth Indians, Colombians, etc ... produce a very high female ratio, although sexually firm males can be harder to find.

Most of our sativa strains (standard/regular releases) of tropical origin produce a high female ratio. Hope it helps.

You are welcome Red October, other variables that affect female/male ratios in regular seeds:

- Lack of direct light-light intensity produces more males.
- Outdoor grows receiving direct sun in the morning usually produce more females than outdoor gardens that only receive it in the afternoon.

And MadMac commented also his experience and how he succeeded to manipulate sex outcome
as far as i'll see it here... it keep's the flower time of the mom maybe + 1 week
depend on pheno you take...

yes 70% girl's is true from the lot's i'll got...
THH had also around 70% girls...
only SamS last batch of OHz had 50/50 so far...
but i'll don't see the 70% in the hybrids with the haze...
there it's 50/50 as normal... depend also on enviroment...
more red light and high N gives more males...
first time i'll did this experiment i'll got 8 males from 10 THH originals...
i'll wanted males ... for my project when i'll started 3 years ago...
than it's easy to find a nice smelling male with great structure ...
thx
M.

Hey @ Koon, that's what it looks like, yes. I ve been keeping the feed in a bit since we had some good weather , now I m cutting down. I was thinking to get some canna mono K just for her...

@that was my fear too, Donald... So what, 2-3 weeks of ascending day duration would be the most she d go? I m curious about this experiment, let's see.

When she was born, when she showed her sex, and when she started to flower?
Salud from 38'5 °N.

Hello Montuno! She could finish faster with better conditions and more light ,this room has bad orientation.I also neglected them a lot, letting them in very small pots ,very hot, very dry...This line is super stable and resilient.I usually get PM in this room ,she's clean til now.

Happy they are used, they are amazing for breeding hybrids, and with luck you can find a female and maybe a male keeper that produces what you love.
-SamS

Exactly and I have been and will continue, some pheno’s sure I won’t find again but am quite sure about what to look for and which ones to use when I see them or as I see them.
So glad I did tbvh, the hunt continues.
Amazing being able to chat with you Sams, I hope you are staying healthy and sane with this madness.
Blessings.

@that was my fear too, Donald... So what, 2-3 weeks of ascending day duration would be the most she d go? I m curious about this experiment, let's see.

I use to flower sour diesel and its hybrids indoors at the beginning of February and then depends on weather I put it into greenhouse half or end of March, but when day light reaches over 14 hours, I check it for revegging, when it goes close 15 hours, it tends to reveg.. I dont do that with haze hybrids, as it revegs really quick under these circumstances. and at autumn when I light dep plants, I can stop with it when we get 14 hours of day light and then of course it is decreasing at autumn. with kush or sour diesel it works, but when I would do that with haze, it would start to reveg in week of 14 hours, even it is decreasing, it has like month of 11/13 in that time.. it revegs really quick..

so! who is going to flower haze under 13/11? very curious about it.. I would be curious, how long it takes for haze, under 13/11, to start to flower for real. 5 weeks? 6 weeks? :D as I dont assume first 4 weeks of 11/13 to be flowering, it is something between, more like it is still vegging... talking about flowering from seed.

Good work Mac, that is a beauty of a plant and so resinous. You might get a seed line going that is more potent and stable than what is available now.

I talked with Sammy and as I know he met Mac and they smoked some Mac´s haze, I asked how did he like it? :D he said, he would not smoke such psychedelics everyday :D I think it speaks for itself. dont understand, where those internet armchair experts got that original haze has to be crossed to be enjoyed or that nonsense that original haze is mids... will not comment their intelligence at all. it is useless..
