I have heard alot about that strain.. Goin on my next list
I have been using Pro Mix for 13 yrs, I prefer the BX 3.8 bale mixed with 1 bag of Extra Chunky size 4 Perlite with 1 30lb bag of wiggle worm EWC.

Im in love with the coco lol.. I totally agree with them. I also amend with coco
First off no growing medium is the end all best it comes down to what works for you and your lifestyle plenty of trash bud flooding the marketplace grown in Pro Mix or coco etc . . . The key is quality no matter what you are using, everybody thinks they have all the answers I dont, just giving suggestions. Its easy to give advice online with nothing to back it up, alot of people giving advice on these boards really shouldnt because they cant give away there buds, thats Facts. I respect all growing methods as long as they produce dank herb.
Pro Mix is extremely forgiving with a great Cation exchange capacity , I water every 4 days in 15 gallon pots while routinely pulling 2 p's per 1k. Now is Pro Mix the only reason for this of course not, its just a piece of the puzzle.

Lol its funny how sensitive ppl are, how ppl are qwik to say sumn about other ppl's opinions. This thread has nothing to do with giving away buds or trash buds flooding the market AT ALL.. Its a simple question & everyone has simply gave their opinion. I hate wen ppl say they dont do sumn that they clearly jus done lol jus mind blowing. Its simple as this, he asked & every tell thier experiences or even gave him some tips to think about. Nobody put a gun to his head and said use promix or coco or else.. Leave the personal feelings for ur personal life and move the fuck on. Im sick and tired of ppl being a downer or a fkin attention seeker. I kan have post only one time and b a newbie on icmag but in reality put ur 2 lbs of 1k to shame.. So dnt judge what u dont kno or kant see & dats facts. the same thing that works for me may not work for him or u but the point is to share knowledge so that he may find whats right for him. I love icmag but sometimes it could b filled with over craved egos and super dicks.. Can everyone please stick to da subject and leave that petty shit alone. This the internet, jus bkuz we kan write anything we want doesnt mean we should especially if u kant direct ur statements. has anyone used the promix hp cc? debaiting if its worth switching from just pure coco which i can get for half the price, or a little more if i want to add the chunky stuff or mix chunky/fine

I currently only used the promix bx but i wouldnt doubt that promix cc wouldnt b worth a try. Yes promix is very forgiving but with coco in it should be a hell of alot better. Its not that i like coco more. I like them equally but coco is harder to overwater with, grows vigorously and supplies a lil extra air to the roots and isnt to fluctuate on the ph. There are pros & cons to every grow medium. Its all up to the prefrences of the grower using it. I personally use both in my grows but my base medium is basically 60% coco & 40% peat

Pro Mix HP was just a little too light for my liking because of the extra small perlite. The BX has less perlite but that is why you add it back in I prefer a 1-1-1 ratio of BX /Chunky Perlite/ EWC. From my experiences the chunkier the perlite the better anchored the plant will be in the soil mix, bigger fatter stalks which in turn equal heavier yields. Also ample amounts of perlite allow the roots to breathe and provide good drainage. The EWC castings do many things but for me most importantly they get the party started with the microherd which for me means everything to the end results. Pro Mix says that the mix already has mykos added to it but I try and go overboard with adding beneficials as in Great White powder every feeding up until 2 weeks into flower, good amounts of humic and fulvic and your on your way. Like I said I use as many different bennies to get the hyphy jumping, Granular Mykos during every transplant-Root Excellurator-Black Strap Molasses and your on your way.

Well, I am running on poverty as far as a budget.
I was able to get one bag of Promix BX and a large bag of the Chunky perlite. I mixed up a batch with about 60/40 Promix/Perlite..
I am using Walmart Bags.. at .50 cents a piece.. about a 3 gallon bag..
These walmart bags are just like smartpots.. they air trim the roots..
Smartpots are like 6 bucks a piece up here in Alaska... so choosing the .50 cents over the 6 bucks is a no brainer..
At any rate..
I look at all the threads and see all the photos of these huge, HUGE COLAS on people's grows and wonder, WHAT THE HECK AM I NOT DOING!!!
My plants are looking awesome as far as color and health.. and I am getting a lot of flowering... on the plants that the nodes are close and tight they look great.. and on my one plant, Cotton Candy.... that stretches a lot.. the flowers are good but my flowers at about 24 days are NOTHING like the huge colas I see being posted... oh well.. guess I will have to go get some worm castings.. been wanting to.. just have not had money!!!
In the end, I have to say.. I ENJOY THE HECK OUT OF GROWING PLANTS... not only herb but tomatoes, green beans, bell peppers and a lot more.. I love growing!!!! I guess it is some sort of mental disorder... lol. Thanks all for posting.. looking forward to seeing more from all.. if anyone who is growing in Promix wants to post a photo or 2 in this thread.. would be cool!!!
