"If I can just get 2 more weeks...."
I've said those words more than once in years past.
Hope you do.

Luckily we aren't dealing with frost yet. Sept. 20 is pretty early, but depending on strain, should be pretty decent smoke by then. Was another beautiful late summer day today. Buds should be building fast! Glad to be in a low area this time of year! Plenty of moisture for the roots to drink up. Just 2 more weeks... Go herb! :smoke:

yes i agree bro its been great here! full sun and no clouds for the last 7 days and the next 7 days appear to be the same for us here, hopefully the same for u. this next week coming up is a big week coming up for my plants for sure. i think i will be able to take down the biddy early and the rest of the Incredible bulk. im flushing them out with flawless finish. im still excited to try this Bbhb out since its first organic crop ive ever grown. i got nice bud out drying and the whole room smells like blueberrys. my dogs keep going into my room with their nose in the air  they smell it on my dresser and want a little piece of it..little fkers like weed just as much as i do lol i guess i trained them well!! like father like son i suppose :whee:

Stuff hits you... Resin may not be perfectly ripe, but it already makes good hash! The crop matured a little quicker this year.

I only hand stir my hash. Doesn't matter how many loads it takes, hand stirred. It makes the best quality and purity. I haven't even been using ice. I just let the well run for a couple minutes and get the coldest water i can. Look what turned up. :smoke:

That's awesome. I have a dog that at about 1 year old he got into my cardboard of hash drying. He was acting woozy and kept falling over in the yard! I didn't see the hash and thought he had got into mouse poison or something. Took him to the vet to get tests done and spent a bunch of money. Dogs like weed I guess! :smoke:

If we can make it through this weekend we have clear sunny conditions. Its a 50/50 chance. I spent a couple days trimming mold recently. I hope it doesn't rain. I hope it doesn't rain. :smoke:

Quarter to a half inch of rain came down this morning. But after tomorrow, weather should be clear for 10 days. I'll play it by ear, but I may want to come prepared to cut a few tops next trip... :smoke:

Hey slender, thanks for stopping in! We need rain around here, but mold still can take hold just with morning dew setting. Frustrating when even the loose buds start to mold. Cannabis likes to be grown out in the open in maximum ventilation.

Need to get my storage buckets dug soon... Anyone have any tricks for underground storage? Mason jars stacked in a 5 gallon bucket with sealable lid seems to work well...:smoke:

Thanks vince, have to keep moisture out and kindness in...

Well we got a little rain yesterday morning. Then early this morning before sunrise I get woken up by another line of thunderstorms. They hit pretty good for a couple hours. Had to go check out the damage... Determined its officially harvest time. Top colas are done and are beginning to mold in minor spots so they were all taken, the fat ones anyway. A plant broke off , and 4 or so of them were leaning had to be stood up. Piled soil around them to help support. Nice to have loose soil piled around for this! Going camping tonight. Got my work cut out for me. My friend will be helping thankfully! Enjoy! I'm missing those big girls already... One Love! God gives!

Sucks to hear about more mold but you have some nice sized colas there ..its too bad some of them couldn't go any longer but that's the name of the game...congrats on a good and consistent harvest

Have a bit of a stash now. I think I have about a years supply. Definitely letting the rest of the crop go as long as I can. Will check for mold again in a few days. I really didn't want to have to cut that much this weekend. Its good quality already, but buds haven't all got dense yet. Mold is not something to play around with. A friend of mine lost about 80,000 worth to mold in their medical grow. Stay tuned for a couple new pics.

Had a good load for the bubble bags. Took my time and ran it through several times. I'll snap pics once it dries.

Only picked what I had to.... There was plenty of mold. Cut the biggest tops already because I saw mold on a couple of them, and they are hard to inspect.

Need to rest up for for next stage of harvest. Working hard picking through the mold. Had a couple friends help this time. Large majority of mold should be out of the plots, so hopefully they can go another 2 weeks before having to cut out much. Will definitely keep an eye on them. Some of the buds were a little wet from the rain. Got them dried down. No problem. Glad I got a start on harvest though, even though buds aren't quite mature. Its taking some time... Getting my speed up... :smoke:

mold sucks a big donkey dick! i suffered huge loss's last year. so far i havent got 1 plant with a bud that has molded. next year get u a solid IPM along with good outdoor strains(such as the Delahaze, biddy early & church) and mold will be very minimal to u,like i did this year..i hate that spore and ever since last year i been determined to beat that shit. it sucks having to pull down colas before they are at their prime. ive pulled so many plants in the past early that its sicking to think about. great pics btw!

looks like a nice harvest pipeline. Too bad about the mold but looks like you got a decent amount. I'm expecting mold or worst next visit. Raining tonight here with frost warning, worst of both worlds. Take care and enjoy your hard work.
Cheers GG

I love Deep Chunk, it's a beautiful hashplant, but it has no resistance to mold. I've had a Deep Chunk rot through the stem and fall over during 70 degree late August weather. I've never finished an entire Deep Chunk plant outdoors mold free. Even the best one was 20% mold. I am quite a bit further north then you.

Thanks guys! I'm thinking about trying some different strains next year. I just want something that will be good to use in a guerilla breeding program too. Has to be true breeding...

Love those deep chunk afghan hashplants, I need to find the females that mold less and select seed for next year from those. Its frustrating pulling early, but I think the resin is ripe enough to be acceptable now. Another couple weeks and the buds picked will be near potential... Just didn't want to take a chance with mold. It was getting worse. I had half a mind to go back out and cut them all, but once I got to inspecting, there is still a lot without any mold. Still plenty of tops out there. As much as I've picked already, I have hardly made a dent in the crop! Like an orchard this year! Roll on big mama! :smoke:
