hey hey congrats on the early testers, check for PM and spray with greencure or serenade just to be sure (i would, or AACT if your tripping about contaminating flowers)

good luck on pulling the rest :)

Thanks Eastbay! With the rain, wanted to check on them. They are sturdy as can be. Piling the soil around them really helps. I checked for mold and with the good light I found quite a bit more. Budworms are starting to come out. Found a little 1 mm diameter hole in a stem below a main bud. The stem seems pretty sturdy and will probably be fine. Found a few more diseased leaves. Not too bad. No outbreaks going on. Wanted to clip the moldy buds before the mold got them. Mmmm Harvest time! God is great! God is Love. :smoke:

It is nice having early smoke. The resin is ready to smoke, but it will get much better. Saving everything for making water hash. Need to do that tomorrow actually. Thanks for reminding me. I don't even use ice and it works well. A long handled snow and ice scaper works well for agitation.

Thanks kygiacomo! I know about BT. The worms pull and twist leaves together and I catch them in the act every time. They aren't in great abundance around here. You just see them every once in a while. I don't like them, but its not bad enough to have to spray. I feel kind of bad. You're working your tail off spraying, fertilizing, TRANSPLANTING, watering. I just work the soil sprinkle a little goodies and pick out mold. I spend a lot of time picking disease out though. 2 Hours today. The more you put into them the more you get out of them. :smoke:

Check out Hill Temple Collective. They should be getting some seed stock going soon! They have some very good lines. :smoke:

Long light rain today. Warm conditions. Means plants are going to be building flowers and resin very quickly now! Also means going to check for mold for sure. Seasons are shifting. Cooler weather is here now. Just starting to see a few trees start the early signs of leaf senescence. :smoke:

Looking great Pipeline!! Always liked your say on things..
As far as a guide to outdoor strains didn't Backcountry start one a few years back? I remember contributing to it..Thought you had too...anyway
Plants look great and I agree with you on big plants. I'll take a sturdy 6 footer over a stretchy fragile 9 ft ready to snap in the wind anyday..been there.
Are any of these plants the Chunky Micks you made in 07 I think? I have some out this yr. I believe they are Bog Medly x Deep chunk? Heres wishing you a strong finish..Budluver

Thanks Buddle! Good to see ya! Nope, they are from a different gene pool. The seed is from a 2010 cross that has been grown to seed each year. F5. They both had Deep chunk in there. I'll have to check out that outdoor strainguide. I was just looking up a bunch of Backcountry irrigation threads for kyg. The Bog medely x deep chunk was a good cross. Post a pic if you can! :smoke:

lol its all good bro i just wanted to be hardcore this year on the prevention process. i did just pick out the mold last year and it got worse bc everthing under the limb i sprayed it on landed and germed on the buds below. My experience with the mold deal is when u see it and start picking it is it only gets worse from there. i lost last year at least 65-70% of the harvest bc of the bud rot. when i hear someone say "Bud rot" to me its like someone screaming BOMB on a plane. i freak out and go into panic mode haha

I will check those seeds out thank bro

I know how bad it can get. In 2013 I waited too long to harvest. It got wet and I cut everything. Spent a bunch of time meticulously pruning out mold from each bud before drying. Moist conditions during drying lead to entire colas molding. They were drying outoors with a small tarp. Had 8 foot plants like this year and they were pretty much ALL lost. I know what we are up against. Gotta think ahead! :smoke:

Another rainy day again today. Got about a quarter inch over a few hours. Light steady rain and drizzle. But sun came out for a little while before the end of the day! No problem. Rain will help buds build quickly. If we have to pick early, that's just the way it is. Would like to give it a few more weeks to let the seed fully mature though. I think we're ok with this rain. May be some mold, but the flowers aren't too dense yet. Hoping for some dry weather! :smoke:

im hoping the prevention sprays i used early on in flower along with the SAR activating products will be enuff to control the rot this year. im going out monday and im spraying my plants down early in the morning with actinovate & regalia giving them a topdressing of insect frass for the chitosan and watering in some Aloe for the Salicyic acid. i also have greencure but i will wait and see if i will need it. i coated my plants good first 3 weeks of flower with essential oils Sns 244c. its finally just rained tonight and the next 6 days full sun with temps in the mid 75s and lows of 55. lets hope the rot will stay away a few more weeks

Hey shrews! Thanks for stopping in. An early crop isn't too bad. I harvested a few flowers on the 5th and they are smoking good already! They just get better after that! I really want to wait, the smoke will be much better as the days go on. But... Mold means you can't smoke it! My arm is getting tired just thinking about stirring all the crop up into bubble hash.

Kyg, How come you aren't going out to spray this weekend. Safer to not be seen going out during the week I guess. Good weather scheduled for this week here too! Although moisture may come back around next weekend. If we are into this type of pattern with regular moisture, I will need to crop those top buds and the the bottoms fill in. Will be a big haul anyway. Can't do it in one trip!

I lift all my problems up to The Most High, God our creator. His Spirit is here with us all the time, within us, working behind the scenes to bring about His perfect kingdom. It honors Him as we live life in search of His purposes, His way. What happens happens, and its always because of God. We just need to listen sometimes.... Keeping my eyes and ears open, got work to do... God bless my life and all those around me. Help us to feel your presence. Give us wisdom, Lord, so we be a witness to Your amazing Love and Grace; So we may bring Glory to your Holy Name. Forever and ever. Amen.

With 2 doses of steady light rain last week, we needed to check for disease. Flowers have developed a lot and are becoming ripe. Mold is beginning to take hold in places, so we cut out what we had to. Enjoying the finger hash!
