you know it's ok for you to post anything here.

“2 2 2 2 2”

I used to really like #2, but lately i've been trying to taper off.

Ok OO, you asked for it! Consider this the first installment in the new bud shot series. this is the last plant whacked. You saw it out on the box top recently. It weighs 16.04 oz's. It's in one of those 2.5 gal rubbermaids.

The three macros were taken with an eyeclops at 100x.

sweet pics man, thanks. I'm looking forward to the series.

I thought the eyeclops had built in LED illumination...those closeups look a little dim.

16 zips...in wicks...I bow to the master...

Cool pics. Those trichs don't look even remotely similar to what I'm growing. Never realized there was that much variation. Thanks for taking the time with that.

Is there any one here running a sealed room? If so, do you run bare bulbs? I can't really find any advantage to bare bulb other that simplicity. Simplicity is one of my goals, but efficient use of electricity is above that. A ducted hood does little to stop the light the plants need and does a lot to stop the light (IR) the plants don't need (at least I dont' think they need it, if they do, that would be a great argument against hoods).

I hate running ducting and maintaining it and would love to do away with it all, but have measured just how well they cool the room.

I also have plans to get a CO2 meter so I can start using my CO2 tank.

I like the idea of having a controlled environment, but I can't say how much this will help. I dont' live in an extreme area...

Gratuitous, but exclusive, bud shot.

Gratuitous, but exclusive, bud shot.

This is a picture of a flower grown in a PPK. It will only be posted here. In this very thread and no where else on the Internets.

...I guess I could have just said, 'bump'...

Hey D9 hadn't logged on been sick. Knowledge replaces superstition. People always resist change. I think its really cool what you have started. i will be starting a ppk in 30 to 45 days have plants in bloom now. People always persecute new and diffrent "SCIENCE". IE "the world anin't flat" the "earth is not the center of the universe" i could go on. The point is that plants grow don't up, they grow to light. all i can say is that i have read lots of shit in the last 12 months and every step in this thread you have made seem logical to me. I can see where people get lost because of the blinders that they ware. Keep up the post and don't let the skeptics get you down.

hey, people! i don't have a lot of time right now as i'm trimming another monster. i will come back later today but i just wanted to leave a few "bud" shots for everybody. they are taken after whacking as i can't get photos in the room because of crowding.

first, a couple of shots in the 18 gal sterilite to give you an idea of total volume.

then i think some of a branch showing development in the "sweet spot" area.

some other random shots.

this plant is significantly larger than last weeks.

i'll be back!

just a few more pics in the "bud" series.

the first is rough trimmed just for the photo. it is typical for a bud that developed in the "sweet spot" of the light. as they ripen i let them fall forward into the area between the lights. jjfoo, this is a good example of the combined effects of gravity and phototropism. i'm trying to hold it here in the approximate position it was in on the plant. thanks for the link.

the second one is just a random large bud rough trimmed for the photo. i dissect all large buds as i don't feel large stems offer much value. also when you look at a bag you don't see a lot of stem.

these next two show burn that occurred about 6" from a cool tubed 1k.

the ole box top again showing significantly more bud than last week.

just for the record this plant was vegged 7 weeks without defoliating. flowered 8.5 weeks with a single radical defoliating at the end of stretch. i believe it was around 23 days on this one.

it was fed jack's hydroponic special 5-12-26 and yara liva calcium nitrate for life at ec 1.5.

all ro water.

no ph adjusters were used at any point.

no bud boosters or any other additives were used.

reservoir solution at harvest was 864 at 5.5 ph.

the reservoir was not changed during the grow, although, for the uninitiated, i do dump them individually between plants.

mistress, thanks for all the info again! where do you get all this stuff? i can't find anything on my computer anymore because there is so much unorganized stuff. i need some kind of light measuring device for sure.

carl, you know i don't mind, spread the love!

hey, bearded1, i was wondering what happened to you. welcome back!

Hi! Can I Join?

Hi! Can I Join?

..... Well ..... I dont know where to start? .... As I feel I allready know most of you here, and actually think most of us will get along groovy. But I probably should introduce myself to Everyone? ... Hi! We have lots in common from DIY, experimenting (tinkering), n-g-w (IF - and thanks for that knowledge), and what comes through as positive ethical values. Oh, and a sense of humor! Please dont vote me off the island right away, as I feel I have alot to contribute, well maybe not so much as you have covered most of my experiences as a Legal MMJ Grower in MI. I am working on putting together a vPPK (v = variation). Not varied because I dont like your versions, but to use things I allready have on hand, and recent purchases made while reading thru ALL the diff PPK threads, before posting. More on that Later!

My 1st official comments on the PPK threads are.......... WOW! and Thank You!

dmoose is bringing us the vPPK.

I expect some pics.

And soon.

D9s bored, and starting to start trouble on other threads. Give him something new to look at and talk about, other than critiquing folks who don't understand that 'defoliation' is a technique for an artisan, not a mechanic for the insensitive...

Quick recap:

Now, we've got D9's v1.1 (original), then his 1.2 (tote bottom), then his 1.3 (bucket on bucket)...

We've got OO's v2.1 and about to be 2.2... but might actually become a v1.2.3.

Somewhere in there, I(F) snuck in with a v1.2.2 on the tote bottom theme...

Then there's the whole unpictured mPPK phenomenon.

Scrog McDuck added in the cPPK, which both he and I ripped directly from D9's cloner...

This shit is getting some diversity, like a tropical rain-forest.

(Who did the blue bucket system that defied gravity or physics? I'll find that when I'm not so busy. You can see I'm busy, right? I mean, look at me go. Being busy.)
