My mentor just popped a pack of these a couple weeks ago. I don't think he's going to keep any so I better go take cuts if I want any.

My Panama fem from the breeders pack pink/red pheno selection. 50 days 12/12 in a micro cab under approx 135w LEDs. Organic soil, in a 2 gallon container, topped and tied down as needed. Fading heavily already at 7 weeks, much sooner than I’d like but I hit her with a top dress of a granular, some kelp, and a few handfuls of work castings only a few weeks ago.

She did thicken up and now is showing nice pink pistils

How much longer to go? Maybe 4-5 more weeks? I’m considering another top dress of nutes.

Super work OZZ loving the colors. Looks like couple of weeks away. The last white pistils are changing and turning brown. Check with a magnifying loop to see exact harvest window. Again beautiful job.
Happy growing and wishing you a bountiful harvest when times is right.

Give Thanks Dubi and Ace Seeds. Lovely lemony resiny aromas pushing thru. Fairly cloudy in trichs too.

Thanks! What do you think about the leaf die off I’m seeing? Fade started at weeks 4-5 which is way earlier than I’d like. I top dressed with nutes and it didn’t seem to change a thing as far as the leaf fade goes, but I did see the buds fatten up nicely immediately after. The above pics are at day 50 12/12 and if she looks to be only a few weeks out maybe I’ll just hit her with some fish/seaweed tonight and then just let her ride through to the finish, was hoping for the buds to fatten up a bit more before getting there.

OZZ_ never grew the pink pheno so not sure, but as ULMW pointed yours seem to have a couple weeks still...

on mine the two last weeks were reflower after reflower, fan leaves kept drying out, so I think is a normal trait in this strain, doesn't necessarily mean that yours has deficiencies:

picture.php

picture.php

Grown in coco + RO + salts, EC=0.7 all grow round, was under 190W SILs, 11/13.

As can be seen, neither aphids nor red mites (their bites can be easily seen on second picture fan leaves) pests dragged her down!

Give the plant some alfalfa meal. It has the rights minerals to bring her back from the edge. It's functions like a natural multivitamin. It will help solve a lot of your deficiency issues ASAP. Top dress and water in every 3 days for the next 2 weeks.

My Panama is at exactly three weeks of 12/12 and is starting to fade already on the lower leaves. The rest of the fan leaves are a very healthy and lush dark green colour, so I know it's not a nitrogen deficiency. Just seems to be the way with certain strains, some start fading sooner than others no matter what you do. Best to let it do it's natural thing organically in my opinion, as opposed to those who freak out at the first sign of yellowing and start madly throwing ionic fertilisers at them etc.

Your Panama looks great by the way. So based on the pistils you have the "red" pheno?

Greetings & Love everyone!

Those are long overdue, plant was harvested late October 2018...

Grow in soil, 6lt pot. This one was well done at 12 weeks if memory serves me, lovely smoke, smooth high, more relaxant than expected (lots of golden/amber resin cells there were). Flavours were one the hearthey/piney side with hints of lemon, but a bit light though. The sessions this plant was part of was worked with minimum of ferts, only add grow & flo nutes, plus some pk 13/14. Flavours and resin prod would certainly have increased with an ad hoc diet (the plants grown afterward with widr nuts spectrum confirmed it). This one got a bit of pollen from a "The Hound" male (Dawgpoo x Casey Jones - truecannabliss cut), should ak an interesting progeny!

Irie!

:tiphat:Give Thanks n Praises. Finally took her down today and she is looking very nice. Nice old school sativa vibes that remind mi of my childhood when I would score 2oz of Panama Red which would come in Golden Virginia Tobacco Cans. It was cheaper than Thai Stick and about same price as the African strains that were flooding the market back then. So many options so many flavors, so many spacy adventures. I am looking forward to some trips down memory lane once more once she dries and cures up.
First time from three indoor grows of Panama to get as much red at harvest time. Hope it shows in final product. That would be nice.
Happy Harvest and Happy Growing to one and all.
:)

At least you were flooded with exotic strains... Living near Netherland, I’ve been flooded with Dutch hybrids for the last 20 years. Between Amnesia, Amnesia and oh wait..more Amnesia (or so they say), it really gets boring really fast... Can’t believe I waited so long before I decided to grow my own.

My buddy popped a pack of Panama. I saw them yesterday. I think there was 7 or 9 of them.

It was crazy. Most were almost done. Maybe a week or two left.

But two were slightly taller and looked like they had just started flowering. Like it had about 5 grams of calyx on each of the two plants.

Has anyone grown Panama indoors using the manifolding technique, I have grown her before in a smaller tent and ran out of room and had to use low stress training to control her. I now have a larger tent with more headroom 4'x4'x7'. I really want to try manifolding this time, but am unsure if her growth pattern will allow it. Has anyone grown her this way? Also how does Panama take to topping? Does it help to keep her tame indoors? And lastly, if I decide to grow her in natural style (single cola, christmas tree style) How tall can I expect her to get in a 3 gallon fabric container? Will 7 feet be enough headroom? Thanks

I just finished a panama grow in my micro cabinet, topped once then LSTd her down continuously throughout stretch. She responded great and I only have 30” of height. 2 gallon pot, organic soil, LEDs. Pulled 2.5 OZ

WOW, thank you so much. This is exactly how I plan to grow mine. I love the way that you tied her down. Looks just like manifold, but without all of the extra required veg time. You did a beautiful job of taming her! How long did you veg her, after topping? How long did she flower for? Thanks

Im not exactly sure how long I vegged her for, I just eyeballed it and guesstimated Im the stretch... pretty much nailed it in my tiny cab as she stopped right where I needed her too.

I pulled her at 10 weeks exactly but I’m using LEDs and notice everything is quicker with them. She probably could have went a week or two more as she *barely* had any amber at all.... only one or two amber trichomes here or there.
