What an awesome plant. Am finishing my first run of it and was lucky to get 2 keepers out of it. Did them in one gallon pots to see who handled stress the best. They all did fantastic but 2 stood out from the rest. Just chopped the 1st one, she finished right at 12 weeks, the others probably have another 3 to 4 weeks. The early girl is super dense with an upper wrist sized cola (actually they’re all pretty dense except for one). Really started to pop with trichomes the last 4 weeks. Smells like a newly opened bottle of Sprite. This is my 1st time with a straight sativa and am digging the whole experience. Thanks Ace!!

Would post some pics if I wasn’t on my phone. Will try from the computer later.

panama 7-8 weeks, semi organics first 7 weeks salt base nutes include pk,then guanotee weeks 8,next max 7 weeks water and if need moor food i give guanotee

How long was her time in veg? Do you find the veg time affects the quality of the smoke in any way?

Im'One, veg time affects plant size, and hence yield.

Smoke quality will have more to do on how you feed and take care of her overall; she has incredible yield potential with proper tenders.

One thing is for sure: you'll be wanting to smoke more and more of her delicious fizzy/sour lemon/hazey taste, so the more you get the better  :tiphat:

Not running her this grow because I'm running lots of Panama crosses, but she's scheduled for next indoor without doubt!

I am looking at growing Panama to breed with a Punto Rojo to increase genetic variety while enforcing the red hair traits. One question I have, how is the powdery mildew resistance? I grow with a wet summer and have had issues with some other sativas not liking the jungle.

Konasidegrower, I don't know its specific resistance to powdery mildew, but the way Panama buds shall be really resistant to humidity: massive clusters of foxtails (remembers me to grape clusters), so even huge buds have good ventilation and drain water really well.

The Panama pictured in my previous post had conditions way off optimal ones inside an indoor, my own fault (defective fan). High heat / humidity and bugs (aphids and red mites).

Really hardy plant, I lost very very little due to bud rot, and had a impressive yield, check the Golden Tiger x Panama I posted before.

I'm running several Panama crosses, so far loving all of them, the yield and terpenes are incredible. Dubi mentions similarity to Colombian Punto Rojo and Panama Red, so maybe this line already contains punto rojo... in fact they're close.

Thanks repuk! Those crosses are looking mean! I have a Panama Haze going and the Panama F10 influence is crazy, so much more dense. Thinking I may be able to do the same with the Punto Rojo with careful breeding to keep the unique PR effects. Amazing to me dubi and crew are able to find special plants to turn a 20 week flowering beast into a 14 week indoor potential without using "easy" genetics but just hunt and hunt. We appreciate it, makes me really pay attention to clarity of genetics to not dilute all the hard work. I hope I can keep a line of pure Punto Rojo too, pollinated her with a red Male from last year but not sure if it's still viable, was in the freezer. If she doesnt go, I think Panama is the way to keep it as pure as possible.

Hi guys, i have a Panama standard in my garden, couple more weeks i think.
My plan is to chop her down not to late...

Pistils turn to be pink/purple the last 10 or so days

EDIT: I knew from the beginning of flowering that she is a red/pink pheno. Although .the pistils were not red they had a yellow-orange hue.

Hola Dubi y amigos.

Saludos. :tiphat:

I have a couple questions about Panama. This cross was years in the making before being released in the summer of 2006. Are the current Panama standard seeds from the same parent line that produced the original offering? Somewhere in this 226 page thread lies the answer but I don"t care to read it all. It looks like the Panama Goddess mother is being used for all current Panama crosses. Was it also used back in 2006? There is no way Dubi will see this to answer. I'm throwing this out there in case someone knows. Many thanks in advance.

Hi all, has anyone noticed any hermaphroditic potential in the male side of Panama before? I recently popped five, got four to veg out and ended up with three females and one male (or so I thought) but then he started to push out pistils at the top.

You can just about see them on the top bud in the first shot and there's a full female bud coming in just above the tape in shot two.

The females are fine other than being stressed from cold (growing in a loft in northern Europe through the winter is hard) but they aren't showing sex issues at all. Plus this male seems more like a pure herm than a stress herm to me but then I haven't flowered too many males. It's a total gutter as I was hoping to breed an f2 line with him but he's in limbo til I get more info just in the off chance this is somehow a good thing.

You'd be surprised. Dubi is pretty great at keeping current around here. I'll dig a little bit I think we're a few accessions removed from the original.

May 2008, dubi states they are into f3-f4 territory. Ace website says the current iteration is f8-f12.

This last Panama plant I harvested about a month ago was a Panama green phenol. Very sweet, and very strong. Nothing but compliments from people about it

My first grow, I had a beautiful Panama red male. Shot some lovely purple pistils, so I did what any curious humanoid would do; dried and smoked him/her;) Spicy!
Also had the green sugar lemon soda pheno, which was my favorite, as Dr Purp just mentioned in the last post. Couldn't agree more!
