I think if you bet your house on the Semi-noles you are packing this morning. I have a brother and sister that live within a 45 minute drive. We rotate hosting a monthly family dinner, and yesterday @1P we arrived at her house. We left home about 12:15 so I listened to the radio on the ride. 8-7 became 11-7 and then we ate and drank and laughed. Time to leave and the score was 21-21 with Tech around the 30 under a minute. Bad play for a loss YAY! Next play right back Boo! Kick is good.
No tailgate style at home. That happens at a friend's house.
I helped set up our Grassy Noles tail gate spot for many years with a great group of friends. Full bar, tents, satellite TV, several grills and lots of meat products were on hand for the occasion. Those were the glory years where it was permissible to leave the stadium if FSU was up by 40 in the 4th quarter. Lots of new faces on the field this year. We shall see.
So it goes, Joe. I guess there is no hope now.

Try the adblock browser and streameast . to on ur phone, Superx, it's how i watch nfl redzone and UFC fights, u need a decently fast connection tho and it is limited to ur phone unless u can cast it or play it on ur TV. I have a samsung phone and samsung tv so the smart connection app makes it easier to play it on the tv from my phone. Also the stream can lag or stop sometimes so u have to restart it but overall it works decently well.
There's also IPTV boxes and services that you can pay a small monthly free or a 1 time upfront cost and they can stream a lot of stuff for u. And ime there's NFL discord servers for each team that will also provide links to stream games. Can also watch boxing/mma fights too if u find a good discord server.
The FSU crowd in ireland was booing the espn college gameday crew heavily because most of those guys were pushing for FSU to be out of the CFP last year after jordan travis got hurt.
It might have been validation for all the FSU doubters that they lost to GT yesterday. It wasnt a well coached game by the noles however, GT's run defense was legit and they probably should have passed more. The front 7 couldnt stop GT's rushing attack, gave up 200yds on the ground. It's a legit concern that they lost too much talent to the draft and the transfer guys that are replacing them are going to need a game or 3 to get up to speed. Like Buzz said, it's a long season and they have some big games ahead to redeem themselves.
I see that the rams lose to the texans and like u said, Pops, both teams were playing their 4th stringers so the result was up in the air.
Im not sure any nfl team would carry a 4th qb, even on the practice squad, but if a current QB goes on IR they could bring dresser winn back on the roster.
I laid a round robin bet on NFL overs before the niners/raiders game on friday night and it looks to be making $ so far, 6/9 games went over so far and 3 more left today, could return 2x.
The chinese looks decent, Hawk, what is that mongolian beef, kung pao chicken, sweet n sour chicken? Did u get the lunch specials?
Thankfully i did not lose the mortgage on FSU, i was feeling kind of funky about it and felt even more funky when almost all of the online touts said FSU, it's almost always worthwhile to fade them if there's a hive mind consensus. I actually should have laid a ML bet on GT after they marched down the field with a TD of their own to answer FSU's opening drive, that showed me they could compete with FSU on a physical level. So lessons learned. Im eyeing the ND State vs Colorado game this Thursday, i think ND state can compete with them, whatchu think, GJ?

Hey pops, great minds alike, sea salt and malt vinegar is a must with Fish and chips (equal amounts)
I like tartare sauce as well (heavy on the lemon juice) it doesnt look very appetising, but tasted how it should of. Those box sizes are for one person, I could of eaten two of them no problem.
Some guys on the kite surfs were hitting serious highs today, looks great fun it's something I have never tried. They must rely on strong winds to build that momentum and speed( they seemed to be going as fast as any elcectric car I have seen, ha) not sure though the handle that you hold on to gives you complete control of direction, you will go were the wind takes you

Ive seen people kite surfing on lake michigan, looks like a pretty cool sport, when they catch a good wind theyre damn near flying, the board looks like it's 6-8 ft above the water with only the bottom fin touching the surface. I imagine being on the ocean it gets quite windy sometimes, yeah Superx?
I agree with Pops, some dark beer chased with some greasy food sounds like a perfect meal. It's not something you want to indulge in regularly but once or twice a week is just fine, especially if youre physically active.
Im not too much of a malt vinegar fan although i do have a bottle of it, i do like tartar sauce and ketchup tho, and salt and a squeeze of lemon is a must on some fried seafood and chips.
I didnt realize rams at lions was on sunday night football week 1, that's a big time game, Pops, Goff going up against his old team, it'll be a rematch of their wild card game in the playoffs last year. Im sure Stafford will get lots of love again from the detroit fans.
So i bet a round robin of overs for the last wk of the nfl season and so far it's looking like ill make a nice profit off it, this after most of the previous preseason games were under. I saw the first few nfl games on Thurs/Fri go over and thought the trend will continue and i was right/lucky.
This profit will more than compensate my losses on Buzz's 'Noles. In fact most of the week 0 games in college football were the underdogs beating the spread, so im thinking of doing round robin bets (2x or 3x RR's) on the dogs this next week of college football, starting with the Thurs games. I figure this will mostly hit because this early in the season, the sportsbooks lines will not be perfect. I made good $ off a similar RR bet on the 1st weekend of the college basketball tournament. You get a fair amount of upsets that first weekend, what with teams having never played each other before.
Whatchu think, Pops or GoJoe? Buzz? Have Gators fans been filling your ear with gloating over FSU's loss? They play Miami next weekend so their crowing might be short lived.

I do not listen to anything hissing sounds from Lizard lips. Miami is a crap shoot every year lately, but the Gators dodged Miami for a number of years after getting their tails whipped. I'll be rooting for the Hurricanes.
There was a great Little League World Series Championship Final this PM. Went to the bottom of the 8th and a kid from the Florida team laid down a PERFECT bunt along first base line. Runner on third scored. Game over 2-1. I loved playing Little League.
Ah, Ive been seeing the LLWS games on lately, and knew the championship was today between the florida team and a chinese team. Good for them, sounds like i missed a heck of a game!

Announcing what your strategy is is a bad strategy. If there is a secret formula reveal, and everyone follows it, no one will win jack. The better bettors do not even tell what their bets were, much less why. I suggest power ranking based on what you think and roll with that. Take a look at last years week 1 and see how your strategy would have went last year.
Dogs and unders are not unwise, but there has to be some shot selection, taking high percentage shots.

Ha, i wish i had a secret formula, GJ, unfortunately my strategies may only work a week or so at the most. That's what happened in the college basketball tournament, after the 1st rd upsets my strategy was mostly a losing one.
But u may have a pt, my app now wont allow me RR bets between 2x and 14x, which is ridiculous when i have 16 teams in my round robin. It's the 6x-7x bets i was looking at to really cash in, 2x RR bets at best get u back 2.5x ur money (assuming u hit 16/16 which is impossible), and you'd need to hit 14 out of 16 bets in the RR to cash in a 14x RR - odds of hitting 14/16 are 1% or less even if ur a savvy better but the payoff would be tremendous, like 900x or so. Almost makes me tempted to do the larger one, but ill probably take GJ's advice and take some selective shots, some straight bets as well as 5-7leg parlays. Also following his advice i checked 2023 wk 1 scores and it seemed 12/16 games went under, so there's that. Small sample size and all but encouraging nonetheless.
I still get confused when they list Taiwan as Chinese Taipei, they did that during the olympics too, so as not to piss off china.
I knew taiwan's LL team was usually always a contender in the LLWS, Pops is right, theyve been so good for so long you'd think you'd have more major leaguers coming from taiwan. There's certainly plenty of japanese and even korean players in MLB, but the ones with chinese ancestry might have been born in america.
You got me excited for nfl week 1 but that's going to kickoff for another 10 days, Pops, and also remember MNF with the jets at 49ers is the last game of wk 1. That should be a good one as well, the niners is rodgers' kryptonite but this jets defense should be better than almost any packers defense he had during his time there so maybe it'll be close if he's not rusty; in the past 1 yr 9mths he's basically played 4 snaps of football that counts, that's a long layoff for anyone, and his last yr with the packers was more good than great (3700 yds, 26tds 12 ints).
Im craving some fish n chips too, Pops, but might have to settle for fish fillets and french fries from costco and heated in the air fryer. It's not the same but i can make tartar sauce with mayo and pickles at least...

Moo Goo Gai Pan is chicken and mixed veggies in a white kinda sauce and char siu is bbq pork. the really hot chinese girl was impressed with me and i dressed sharp as fuck and i think she really liked me but i fucked up being drunk as hell.i said high to her in chinese and i think she wanted to flirt but i couldnt tell.i might have offended the whole family the way i said it. .the way asians use the dumb peace sign all the time lol.she was cute as hell.oh well.plan on going back soon probably.been a while since ive had good chinese.

when you make you homemade tarter sauce be sure to throw in some tony catcheries or old bay or whatever your favorite seasoning is (i like a little tony c and some garlic mix) or if you have real cream of tarter even
better to let it sit for a while before eating so the flavors can bloom
i think they are going to broadcast that game on abc so will get to watch it
i think a.rog could be on his last look unless he can pull a rabit out of the hat and take the jest to the playoffs (they have a decent D)
