We have zeke elliott getting signed by the patriots for 6M/yr, and dalvin cook got an 8M/1 yr deal from the jets. So did the afc east get that much stronger? Miami didn’t seem too concerned that they let dalvin sign with a division rival.

we will see how the afc.e shakes out but they look like they could have a couple potential contenders in the mix

Nah, he’s going to stay away from his dad’s ex-GF who had him arrested, and he’ll be better off for it. Too much family drama there.

The AFC-E might have 4 playoff teams, if u figure that the patriots are the worst team in the division but still have a top 5 defense and if bill o’brien, their new Off Coor, can coax the offense to at least average, they have a shot at the 3rd wild card spot.
On the other hand, the afc is pretty loaded with the chargers and ravens and maybe even the browns (where’s that browns fan? Also where’s DB doober to talk up his Pats?) in the running for a wild card.

We got a Thurs night game, a couple Friday night games, a bunch of sat games including the bears and rams who both play late and a Sunday and Monday night game this week. And then after that it’s one more week of preseason before the real games start.

Here’s a question for u Pops: do u think it’s possible this roster makes a deep playoff run like a conference finals game in the next 2-3 yrs with the holy trinity in place (stafford kupp donald) or do u think they need to break up the band and reboot, refresh and renew, maybe keeping only kupp (who’s the youngest of the 3 but still 30 yrs old)?

buf gets all the love and if tua can keep his head on straight the dolphins have a pretty good team and should win at least 10-11 games
with a.rog and d.cook going to nyj, they look pretty good on paper; they started off last season hot but shit the bed in the end so we will see how they ply but im seeing them take off
i dont see there being enough talent on the rams to make a playoff run and it might take a year or two to rebuild

Atl will be interesting, they got a hot rookie RB, if their 2nd yr QB can be decent they might have a winning record or even wild card berth.

Ur right pops, it’d be highly improbable that all 3 wild card teams would come from the same division, cause they all have to play each other twice, but it is possible and we might see it happen sometime.

Yeah pop seems like best case scenario for the rams is they have to develop their young guys/draft picks into competent players, hope a few turn out to be above average or even stars then they can think about more playoff success. I guess one thing they do well is theyre flexible and can change plans quick to suit the situation, goff led them to a superbowl but couldn’t win one so they pivoted quick to stafford and won a championship, now they might have to pivot again. Maybe stetson will be the brock purdy to mcvay’s offense? Be nice to have a cheap but good QB and then be able to spend more on surrounding talent and defense.

No looks like thurs browns-eagles game is on Nfl network, no milfs till the regular season, and doesn’t seem like they released the announcer schedule yet so we don’t know when hanna and andrea will be on.

In the preseason hawk the bad teams might play their starters more and thus win more games, it’s hard to take preseason results seriously. Bears went 3-0 last preseason and finished 3-14.

Well, sigh, in almost 50 years of fandom, I've never felt so ambivalent over a summer about my beloved Raiders. As the season gets closer, my delusional optimism is returning, but I've never hated a Raider coach like I hate mcdickface.
He panicked after week 3 last year and went into tank mode. Carr 'accidentally' won two games mcdooshbag was trying to lose, with play changes at line of scrimmage (Denver and Seattle) and that broke any relationship between the two.
I wouldn't get too excited about the raiders, they were 3-0 preseason last year.
Mcfucknut is pretty much on the hot seat this year, so I expect the play calling to improve drastically. And I expect the defensive sets to be even more improved, as I'm fairly certain many of the incorrect coverages last season were ordered by mckuntface so as to make sure defense was blamed rather than his offensive system and ego.
I will always be 100% Raiders, but I don't care if mcshitface wins a Superbowl, he will always be an interloper.
