Fuck boys.im not a huge fan of of Journey but it's literally 5 minutes away and fireworks on the Mississippi.im fucking going.its gonna be awesome.
I used to play with those throwing stars too, were they pretty hard to stick into a tree? Would you throw it like a playing card or would you hold it like a baseball (the points up against your palm) and flick it? I heard the latter is how youre supposed to do it.

McDaniels showed he is incapable of working w what he's got. That's a bad sign. He HAS to have guys that were trained by belicheck. He may be able to develop a QB, but not any of the other positions. That's a handicap.
I watched each Raider game between 2-4 times last year, throughout the season and post season. Children playing Madden call better games. You see coach of the saints rolled him out of pocket ON THE FIRST PLAY! That's one of his biggest strengths. And last year if it happened once a game it was a lot. And play action?!? A STAPLE of ALL NFL offenses, especially in today's high volume pass happy offenses? A staple. ESPECIALLY when you have the NFL rushing LEADER! But last season? Hardly at all until weeks 16 and 17 when Carr hit the bench. When it was pointed out immediately after week 16, he said "the offense was limited because Carr didn't pick up the offense fast enough. Carr, he of 6 head coaches and 7 offensive coordinators in first 9 seasons! There's no one in the NFL better at picking up new systems.
The season didn't start out as a tank. Mcd panicked after week 3. 2 of the wins we got were walk off overtime scores that DC changed the called play at the line of scrimmage. Those two wins would have changed us from #7 pick to #4 in this year's draft. That's a big difference. Difference between being able to draft a QB outright, or trade up for significantly cheaper than #7 to 1 or 2. (Might have gotten lucky w 4th Rd AOC pick).
I can go on.. seriously, all day on the subject.
The ONLY reason Mcd extended Carr was to trap Davante Adams. Adams is one of the few NFL players who can demand a trade and he gets what he wants. But his contract has him trapped for his first two seasons, financially. The dead cap hit if he's traded last season or this is a decade long death sentence for the team. But watch, after this season, he is GONE. Probably to saints or jets.
And he didn't just bench Carr. He took the all time Raiders leading passer, with virtually every franchise QB record, the guy who carried the ENTIRE franchise for 9 years, took ALL the responsibility for everything, blamed him, benched him, BANNED him from the facility and sideline, then couldn't even get a draft pick for the second biggest free agent QB in the league.

What do those 4 have in common? They were all captains of the team the last two seasons. Brings in players who have been cut by the Patriots cuz they aren't any good any more, some cases never were. There's been like 65 former Patriots either on the roster or given tryouts w raiders. In 1 full season and two off seasons!!! That's crazy.

Oh yeah... BTW...Mcd has never once been referred to as a "genius' or 'wonder kid's when he DIDN'T have the greatest QB of all time along w the greatest TE of all time running his genius system. Matter of fact, they were so good without McDaniels they won a Superbowl together the FIRST year they left and went to Tampa Bay!

Haha, well put subrob. I don’t pay attention to the local coverage so u would know better than me. Does he come off bad in interviews? Most coaches try to be friendly in media sessions, but there were points last yr mark davis probably had serious talks with him and it showed in his answers.
Ur right, just about every time a QB’s passer rating is better on play action vs no play action, sometimes really better. Last yr vegas passed out of play action 134 times, which ranked about 19 or 18th in the league. Vikings passed out of PA 200x, but that’s cause cousins is like peyton manning when using PA.
Which QB would u have wanted at #4 overall, subrob? Anthony richardson is the starter for the colts, he’s looked decent in preseason fwiw.
They benched carr to ensure his health because they were actively trying to trade him, but yeah he couldn’t even attend practice or was barred from the facility? I guess people could get hurt while working out too, but still that’s pretty bad. Like they took his door pass from him and security escorted him out type of coldness.
In mcdaniels defense, he made mac jones look pretty decent 2 yrs ago, only for the pats offense to fall apart without him last year. But yeah, he’s not some boy genius like kyle shanahan or sean mcvay, belichick is the only genius on that staff.
Im not sure what the raiders should do when/if they move on from mcdaniels soon. Hire someone from the mcvay coaching tree? Andy reid’s? Jon gruden wasn’t really working out either but josh mcdaniels so far seems worse. Just gotta get that franchise game changing QB, maybe caleb williams if the raiders get or trade for the #1 overall pick next year. How about aidan oconnell, heard he looked pretty good in wk 1 preseason. Just need a guy to sling the ball and find open receivers, don’t need an athlete who can rip off 30 yd runs, altho that’s always a nice tool to have.

But I like subrob’s notion of trading davante in the next year, maybe get a 1st rounder for him, get some draft compensation since they gave up a 1st and 2nd for him. At 30 yrs old he’s not on the same timeline as a rebuilding squad.
Outdoor concerts on the river are always a good time, hawk, even if the music is only tolerable for you. Best start shaping up now, so youll look good and maybe attract a lady or two. Youll be with ur mom, maybe tell the staff shes a huge journey fan so can get up close to the stage.
Who else u like in fantasy, SS? If u cant get one of the kelce or andrews at TE, I hear people like Njoku as a sleeper pick.

Ekeler has averaged like 18 td’s the last 2 seasons, which is a ton and usually isnt repeatable but ur right Pop, he gets a lot of red zone receiving work and just has a nose for the end zone, like jerick mckinnon of the chiefs. And yeah, F-spanos up the A. I tell ya, between the chargers raiders and broncos (with the new owners) the afc west has some of the worst owners in the league. As if the chiefs needed any more help to be dominant. I think the raiders have won only 3 games vs the chiefs in the last 18 matchups? That’s like bears vs packers. Maybe we can both flip the script soon. Ya gotta believe!
