ya your right I was being a lazy piece of shit.. to be honest.. I was in a bad mood.. in pain... and wont take pain pills.. so.. I can say. sorry to everyone in the thread lol..

anyways.. I was looking online. and found a press for 400 bucks .. says it does 5000 PSI .. now that I have been reading.. this should be more then enough . I'm going to place an order ASAP.. says 14-21 days for delivery.. so we shall see.. asap.. hopefully this is the cheap and lazy answer ive been waiting for to try to run a decent amount at a cheap start up cost..

well. talked to the Chinese manufacturer.. and its 300 shipping to the US..

so.. ill be ordering my tester unit in 3 weeks.. good luck everyone hopefully we find a cheap.. effective way to press without losing terps and so on .

Long winded post much? I guess you hate yourself too?

All I said is people contradict themselves. You know what I hate, and think "sucks"? Is when people make a huge long winded post about nothing because they feel like they should be the on on top of the soap box. I never bitched once, why the hell are you attacking me? Why everyday on this sight is somebody having a pissing fit? I have contributed to this thread many times, and make one observation about people contradicting themselves then I have to come on and read your post????? WTF???? Don't know what I ever did to you? I mean, you even went into how I expect somebody else to make my sandwich for me, and cut my crust off. If you ever said that to my face, or knew what I do on a daily basis, you would think twice. Because I said some people contradict them selves on the internet (which is one of the most true statements ever told) you attack me personally? Really low bro. Shows what class you have, didn't your mother teach you better?

I was at a buddies last night and he had some fresh winter run bd hanging on the lines...so we picked off a fresh wet bud and pressed it with the hair press/clamp tech and the resulting rosin was red like Merlot...like you spilled Merlot on the parchment paper

The runny rosin was put into the freezer for 10 minutes and so was my glass collection tool and it didn't really seem to help. It helped a little, but the rosin seems to just smear onto the parchment and spread around.... :(

Did you try wrapping the parchment around a frozen glass bottle freshly squished rosin facing out? You want the rosin to get cold but your collector tool slightly warmer so the rosin sticks to it. If its still runny when its completely frozen I have never seen anything like that and can't really help. But this should work for you if you do it like I described.

use a razor blade to scoop up the brunt of it.

This is what I do, also (razor blade). Most of what I press is too difficult to pick up right away (for one reason or another). I lay the single edge razor blade as flat as I can (so it doesn't cut into the parchment) and scrape off 90%.

As for the other 10% (the more difficult part that most of you are talking about).... I just let it sit out overnight and by the next day it's always easily gathered with a glass swizzle stick. I just rub the glass ball on the remaining rosin and it gathers right up.

Still a PITA compared to what it should be. This whole parchment step has to be eliminated. We really need a good process for doing this. I'm going to start experimenting more with the silicone pads and a few other ideas I have had all along.

I think the razor blade would work well for collecting larger amounts of rosin. But I often squish small amounts at a time for personal use. When I get a super thin layer of rosin that smears all over the parchment and does not collect at all at room temp I just dont see a razor blade being effective. The cold bottle is really only one extra step and only necessary for the really thin runny stuff. It also lets me collect 100% of it right away. But yeah I agree if you're doing large amounts scoop up most of it with a razor blade.

I do about .5 to 1.0 grams of flowers per press. I still get little "puddles" that just seems too runny to collect. When I try, they smear into the parchment. The "puddles" are what I mostly pick up with the blade.

I still say we need to start thinking outside the box and find a totally new way to do this.

Already invented paperless, just didn't realize there were so many people willing to throw good money after something that can get knocked together for under 100 bucks..

Especially with these longer press times people are using..

If you had a large roller tool, life would be way easier. I started with a 10mm rod, and then 15mm, but now have it at about 20mm diameter almost, and 50mm long, the collection end, with a 7mm handle. the extra weight helps a lot.

naw with very small amounts, i often press like one gram of bud, the razor will still scoop most of that runny stuff in no time, and if you have a big roller you dont need to wait overnight to collect the remainder.

I will have to give your method a try HMK. I guess my point was just that you can change the consistency by changing temperature. Colder equals harder less runny/sticky and warmer equals more runny/sticky. Seems pretty obvious I know but I wasn't sure everyone realizes this.

exactly. all my rosin sits on razor blades and consumed right off them.

yeah for sure it does help. Most of us here have tried it some, but if i can do it all on one sitting without getting up it works for me, maybe laziness :D
