thanks!! ive grown for many years, but have always sucked at it. with the easy GH nutes and 160w/sq.ft., hopefully this time it will *not* suck!! :) :joint:

 Hey TS! Im using the three part GH flora nutes in my Waterfarm system and it works great :yummy: I would suggest that you use only 1/4 to 1/2 cause anymore is a waste. There is a feeding schedual out there that you ONLY use that FM and FB no FG I guess the micro has enough N in it . Well good luck bro and remeber "KISS" Keep It Simple Stupid LOL Your LS looks great. I was able to get the three of BOGS beans,Lifesaver,LSD and Blue Moon Rocks. Keep loading those pics!! :woohoo:

im using the EASY GH nutes (aka floranova 1-part, no mixing!!), not the three-part series. I cant be bothered with mixing three different ingredients in different quantities, then adjusting PH!! I am way too dumb for that! :moon: ... With the floranova (bloom now obviously), its just two tsp per gallon, and the PH comes out perfect, the mix is STABLE, meaning the PH doesnt rise on its own (the magic of BUFFERED nutes), etc. I will probably never use anything BUT floranova. i farted around with AN, some powdered generic hydro nutes, but no more. no additional additives, other than the floralicious plus, and i use maxicrop in my foliar. i may screw it up yet, so stay tuned!! :bat: :pointlaug  :chin: :joint:

My father LS and SSH/Heri arent looking too good... i took them out of the growbox a long time ago, and ive had them in a semi-dark closet and have been doing the light cycle manually, which is pretty damn stupid! so i made a "fatherbox" out of a cardboard box (the one the carbon came in ) turned upside down. i hung two 26w CFLs from the top and cut a large vent for air. its on a timer now, so i wont have to worry about them anymore. i ************REAAAALLLLLLLLLY********************** want to make the Lifesaver F2s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot afford to lose this strain, its been my "holy grail" since i heard about it. the person i caretake for NEEDs the relaxing element, and anyways, hopefully i can get some good pollen in time to pollenate some of the new clones i put into flower. The Flowerbox is now **FULL**, with a NICE canopy. i will take pics tomorrow morning during lights on.

last night i killed several more light leaks, and this mornign i re-arranged the plants inside. the canopy is so thick, i think the "massive passive" intake was being BLOCKED by the big LST monsters. so i put one of the smaller plants there (MalawiXMangoxChemo) so air can get in!

i also will change the intake filter, as it is quite clogged as well. ive been running the blower on HIGH as despite all my efforts to run things on LOW, ambients have been too high, so HIGH is where its at for now. hopefully with new intake filter, un-blocked intake, and the fact that ive slowly been shifting the "lights on" to night time (for lower ambients... weve been having pretty warm weather lately for some reason), hopefully that will clear things out a bit.

the other issue ive had, which has also made the vent issue an issue, is that the bigass carbon filter is now tucked behind the box and is kind of boxed in itself. i have to have it basically right up against the wall, so the hot air tends to heat up the whole area back there. another reason i run the blower on HIGH at the moment...

The GOOOOOOD news is that even when running on HIGH, the BALLASTS are still louder than the blower!! If i can get them boxed up, and shut up, this thing will be SUPER sweet!

stealth is going very well, ive had extremely non-cool co-inhabitants in same room with cabinet blasting away with 1000w of glory and blower on high, and they had absolutely no idea. i am a bit concerned that when the blower is not running, some smell is leaking out but it might be the un-scrubbed vegbox causing a small odor issue, but only when you are right in front of the box. i got some of those Fresh2 odor bulbs, and i have one in the vegbox and one out in the room by the door. i might pull the one out of the box and put them both out in the room to kill the smell after it escapes... rather than try to intercept it (and fail due to ventillation sucking out the smell before it can be ionized).... search fresh2 by google to know what im talking about.. :)

i cant wait to post day 28 pics! thats roughly the halfway point with these bad ladies!!

I hope they will get superfat!! i just changed the main intake filter,,, taking a look at the GUNK stuck to it makes me VERY glad im not exposing that crap to my plants!!

ive got to leakproof the veg cab still,,,,,,,, awaiting arrival of darkroom vents...

recieved the darkroom vents today... dont look like they will flow much air, but i dont suppose the vegbox needs much. i think i will convert the rear-exit exhaust into an intake, and then put another intake in the floor.... hmmmmmmmm id like to use the main carbon filter for both chambers, but that means the main blower either has to be on all the time to vent just the little veg box while the main chamber is dark, or.... hmmmmm....

i might have to keep the seperate exhaust fan for the vegbox, after all. unless im flowering both at the same time (which I actually will be-- but not permanently), it makes sense to have seperate vents... but since i will be flowering the vegbox, i might as well combine them.

BUT, i think i will keep them separate. i do need a small carbon filter for the vegbox, so i will have to figure that one out... stupid complications!!

MURDEROUS LIGHTLEAKS!!!!!!!!!!!! :badday: :badday: :badday:

one of the lifesavers (the light green pheno) was HERMIE-ING!!! :badday: :badday: :badday: little :badday: yellow :badday: clusters growing ***RIGHT*** :badday: in:badday: the :badday: middle :badday: of :badday: the :badday: very :badday: tips :badday: of :badday: many :badday: of :badday: the :badday: top :badday: buds... :badday:

i carefully cut them out and SLAUGHTERED the g-d lightleaks once and for all!! Used some low-density foam and jammed it in there good. it now takes some EFFORT to actually close and lock the doors... wont stay closed unless locked. :bat:

Yeah - had to do the same thing in my cab - took a couple tries to find foam strips that fit / worked, that did the trick. Sorry to hear about the hermied LS :badday:

so i very closely examined the plant, and found a couple of new tiny yellow spots coming up right in the middle of the bud tips (on some other buds that *had not* shown male spots last night--shows you how fast they grow!) I cut out the new spots, ... looked very closely at the rest of the plant. the question is, should i take this one out of the box, or risk pollenating the rest of the plants. that wouldnt actually be all that horrible, as I do want to make seeds, and if they are hermie-female seeds, that isnt all that bad as i just want to be able to grow this out again. but id also like to have a fat sinse harvest too!...

so the question is, should i put this back into the box? i could put it outside maybe... hide it somehow/where... what do you think? :)

edit: by the way, i fed it 3tsp/gal of the floranova bloom, just now. it was turning that light light green again, its definitely a major nute hog!!

Are you sure they're male flowers, and not new female buds piling up on the sides and top of the cola? When that starts to happen you can get little bumps that swell into new female flowers - but they definitely don't end up looking like mini bananas like hermied flowers do.

If you're not sure, isolate the plant, clip a small cola that has some of these bumps, place the cutting in a glass of water and give it 12/12 light until the the bumps swell and mature - shouldn't take but a few days - and when they turn yellow pull one and with your fingers pop it over a dark surface - if male you'll see a small puff of pollen.

its really strange, the yellow is there, there are little puffs of yellow *RIGHT* at the very tip of the bud in question. if more appear tonight, i'll get a pic. im pretty sure the lightleaks are gone, so hopefully they will go back to budding, maybe! :badday:

damn man sucks you got a hermie. but i understand why you got rid of her. larger plant's or bushy one's you can easily miss a nanner. it's not worth getting the whole group pollenated. check your other's real good over the next few day's for them as well.

i caught it early... so i have not gotten rid of her yet. besides, even if i get a ton of seeds, that is actually fine. i need to make LS seeds man, and this was clearly a lightleak violation, however I notice that there are no other yeller spots on the others, perhaps that one was sitting right where the light leak was coming in.

anyways, ive been busy with life as it does tend to occasionally stumble in looking for its keys. a lil rassling and it goes back outside where its needed. like i said, i caught it early. i hope to escape further damn bananaramalanda... the pollen spots didnt look like bananas at all, it was just like male preflowers that matured early and spit out pollen. tiny, still.

i caught a couple more the day after, still just *REALLY* small, smaller than the other ones i had caught. this leads me to believe, that those others were just the earliest of the early, and these were the late, meaning, these got less light during lights out, than the others, which were higher on the plant.

see,, i have been slowly rotating the timer schedule so that the box is on at night and off during the day, which obviously made the existing light leaks worse. so that being recent, combined with me only finding these TINY early evil yellow powder semen spots, and only tinier ones yet in the days following, i think i will be OK.

I actually see spots that might have gotten pollenated, but oh well. I have a few more clones and the DWC clone with still has not rooted outside of the damn lava rocks. the roots just love those lava rocks, and are growing very slowly and finely amongst them... its been too cold lately, and the roots dont like that either... not that i even have room for a frickin DWC right now!

which reminds me i need to post pics... ive got another SOG tray in there, as well as another smaller LST/NST plant,, some slow-growing (i started in TOXIC expired organic soil--dumbass!) sativa-dom autoflowering hybrid (malawixchemoxmango i think).

shit i got stuff to do... more later...

I watered them all last night, everything is looking good, except i think i might be rootbound based on growth rates. I will have to do one last transplant here at the end... i might get a huge, low tub and just fill with soil and make a single large bed.

we had some EXTREMELY uncool visitors over along with a ton of others for a holiday get-together, with a lot of foot traffic right in front of the cabinet, and stealth was TOTAL. granted, the lights were not on (and thus the ballasts silent) but the main blower was blowing on HIGH the entire time, and there wasnt the slightest whiff of odor from the cab, nor much noise!

in other news, my interior circulation fan DIED,, god only knows when, so for the moment i am only running one light. ive got the room opened up, however, so ambients are dropping rapidly. i might turn on the other light before i turn out my own lights here in a minute.
