forgot two pics:

this is a comparison of the two larger LS bushes... dark LS has always looked nicer, but it might be a case of the light LS not getting enough nutes...

here is the DWC clone i tried to root MONTHS ago... it finally dropped a root out of the netpot, so i started up the DWC (obviously):

sucky part is i think it might be the light lifesaver,,, but oh well, dont want to try to try starting another clone and waste more weeks. the light LS looks like it has potential anyway, the hermie-ing only seems to happen under light-leaks conditions, and it is a nice-smelling plant (subtle fruity smell). i think one of the clones in the SOGtub is a light LS, and *it* looks nice,,, weve sampled one bud that got snapped off, early one obviously, dried but not cured, seems nice and relaxing... :yummy:

I started by LSTing the main stem into a semi-circle, then after they grew some new side stems/shoots, i took clones from every shoot longer than about 4", taking small-ass clones to leave some stem/nodes to grow back out on the original plants. then, i let them veg some more, took another round of clones, then put them into flower. to keep everything even and LOW, i just tied down individual bud/branches with paperclips or bits of wire coat hanger. i did this mostly to expose as many of the under-branches (small shoots at that point) to light so they would BUD up. If you look at the difference between the VERY stretchy K-Train in its early stretch period, there are so many tiny little bud spots that i exposed by just strapping down the "normal" buds at the end of the main growth tips. each of those tiny under-buds is now a decent-sized growth tip. im not sure how much of it has to do with how much light they get and the re-distribution of auxins due to strapping the b*tch down!! :bat: :chin: :joint:

here is the K-train (heavily sativa-influenced pheno) two days ago:

dont be afraid to BEND your plants to get them how you want them:

this sativadom pheno wanted to STRETCH, but i just bent them all down, then strapped 'em that way!:

compare this to the first picture and you see how many budsites appeared along the length of the strapped-down stretchy sativa stems!! :woohoo:

hope this helps... like i said as they grew up, i tied the tall ones down until they were even... goal was a LOW, even canopy so as to avoid wasting light (same idea as scrog, and you could say ive got mini-scrog action going on given how many WIRES are holding buds in place! ... difference is that i can take these plants out very easily (no scrog screen to worry about) for watering/inspection etc... LST rules! :chin:  :joint:

you think your going to be able to stay in the clear long enough to finish all the girls off?

yah, it looks like I am. the negative presence here just has *NO* idea what ive really got going.... anyways, I checked the trichromes on the dark lifesaver, and they are nearly ALL cloudy, with maybe 20% clear and 5% amber. SO yah, that one is definitely ready! I am going to let it go maybe one more week as for that plant couchy is better than not. Wednesday (12/27) is day 49, so i will take another look at them again, and maybe take the sogtub and the top buds on the dark LS bush. one thing that concerns me is that it hasnt really gone through the "swelling up" stage, which i think i messed up by overferting them. I might try waiting until it needs water again, and then flush it with plain water and see if that helps. i havent done any type of flush as i was anticipating doing a water cure........

and hi/thx Name!

I thought they had a pretty good idea that you were growing pot in there?

yes, but not on this scale. picture a couple of plants in 6" pots vs. reality. "they" are pretty clueless, naive people in general. if "they" saw the flowerbox running, would probably have a major shit!! :yoinks: :pointlaug  :fsu: :joint: :sasmokin:

was just asked if id "cleared out" what i had in the vegbox(only vegbox was compromised, and only to the extent of light leaking out the bottom of the cab onto the floor), and i lied and said yes (coming in here and killing light!)... no further interrogation. i just have to keep bluffing as long as possible.

last night all but the SOGtub and dark lifesaver needed water, and i just watered with plain tap water. the dark LS feels a bit light but not quite as dry as i like it when i water. that dark LS i plan on flushing out VERY thoroughly with tap water tonight at lights-on so it gets at least a bit of flush. i am second-thoughting the idea of water-curing these plants, is my problem! i might water-cure just the SOGTUB, in fact...

DAY 49 PICS!!!!!!!!

DAY 49 PICS!!!!!!!!

Technically these appear READY to be chopped but i am going to flush just one week,,, tonight i flushed out the largest plant, the dark lifesaver...

i really love LST: check out this BUSHINESS started by simply knocking the plant over and tying it down.. all the lower growth just BLOOMS upwards (so to speak,, still in veg mode on this one... been a week in the DWC waiting for roots to keep developing... will probably touch water tomorrow or the next day. i changed water/nutes today, 2tsp of floranova GROW for the next week or so... just waiting to chop the two big LSes to make room for the next round of flower plants... PLEASE let me bluff along enough to get this one finished! should be a monster performer in DWC if i can keep it alive! :)

other plants, already flushed these last night...

this is my most promising lifesaver father plant... there is another NICE indica-leaning father in there, too... i may be doing a lot of seeds .......

The DWC is really rally looking NICE.... amazing how fast a bubbler will grow buds!! Makes me want to say GOODBYE to soil for GOOD.

power bill was about 300% what it was this time last year,,, so that is pretty scary!! im turning on the second light only about half the night (lites on at nite), and not running the blower with lights off (did that to prevent mold). i got my new circulation fan in the mail today, so that can finally go into the box!

pics of the SEEDCLONES!

i did another round of pollenating, this time of the under-side budsites (i put tub on its side and shook Daddy over sides of plants)

the tops have already been pollenated (two weeks ago.. pistils are withered and seeds on the way!--i hope!!!!!!)

here is the daddy for the side-pollenation (previous top pollenation daddy looked similar):

there is another daddy plant in there (closet fatherbox), that i will have to use to pollenate another round of clones if i can get the timeframe for it. this other daddy is a HEAVY indica-dominant male, and i *REALLY* want to capture it in seeds in anticipation of its pain-killing indica love!!

I put the again-pollenated seedclones into yet another cardboard box, closed up and covered with clothes. just want to keep it in its normal light cycle without putting it back into sinse flowerbox, and there is no more room in the fatherbox. tonight after the pollen has had 24 hours to "take" i will give it a shower and then return it to normal flowerbox. i only ran 400w last night, and turned the main blower to "LOW"... im running two interior circulation fans to keep temps even. hopefully this will lower the overall electricity bill to sub-alarming levels! the circ fans i got are Lasko AIR-STICK vertical squirrel-cage "mini-tower" fans, which fit into two corners of the box quite nicely. they are in opposite corners, blowing into the same adjacent corner, hoping to create turbulence etc. plus the fans just fit better this way. tops of the plants move nicely now too. unfortunately the K-Train's buds have stretched nastily during the lack-of-circfan period, but oh well. the light lifesaver looks like it is a MASSIVE yielder, only too bad i had to cut the tops of the buds off a few weeks back! im glad that the hydro clone is this same HIGHYIELD cut. hopefully i will get to finish that one off! it will go into flower when the dark LS comes out on tuesday night, if not sooner.....

Looking good ts! Congrats on the pollination project - may you get wonderful LS F2s!

I hear ya on the bill - have a feeling you live on the left coast too, I get hit with a ridiculous bill. Base rate for my area is what it would take to run a 100 watt light and a toaster oven in a 150 sq ft studio. Everything over that is tariffed up the backside. :badday:

And Happy New Year!

yeah, sucks about the electricity thing here!! :badday:

even worse is the SEWER SMELL that was coming from the DWC today!! I hit it with a couple of tsp of h202 (3%) and that seems to have taken care of it. i didnt get to go to the hydro store today but hopefully i can pick up some hygrozyme or whatever they recommend (that might be cheaper yet just as good).

i also noticed some TROUBLING dark/wilty spots on the leaves, but i pinched off those leaves and flushed them. going to have to watch this bio situation closely! :badday: :dueling: :bat:  :fsu: :chin: :joint:

new pics!

here is the flowerbox as of tonight...

here is the small under-bud i took from the dark lifesaver (took another from light lifesaver that is larger .. but accidentally deleted the photo :pointlaug:

and this is an INDICA-pheno daddy plant i will use to pollenate some FUTURE LS clones...

i did YET ANOTHER round of pollenation, this time a HUGE CLOUD of pollen dropped onto the sides of the seedsclones, so i went ahead and killed off that daddy (sativa pheno) to make room in the daddy box for the indica dad and the seedsclones while that pollen "takes"...

more news when it happens! :) :joint:

i put the BIG dark LS up high again, in the center of the box, so the twin 400s can hit it from both sides, just for these last few days. it seems like it is in fact doing some nice SWELLING and i want it to soak it up as much as possible here at the end. the new circ fans and some LOW ambients allow me to put it up high between the lights. i think next time i will definitely use some airshades so i can put the plants much closer....

i am in TOTAL TRICHROMES WATCH mode! They are basically all 100% cloudy, and the dark LS is definitely swelling up day by day. im going to chop when i see some amber showing up.... but probably no later than tuesday night or weds morning (which will be day 55/56 area).... we shall see how it goes! :)

as far as hash goes, i will probably make some ISOil (from all the trim) since that seems like the easiest method. is 91% walmart ISO good enough?
